Congressman Eric Burlison has taken to X to reveal that MIT’s Lincoln Laboratory has agreed to disclose a historical UFO video from 1952, commonly known as a “flying saucer talk.”

On X, Burlison declared: "We told MIT Lincoln Labs we know the exact video file you are holding, by name, and we want it. They admitted it exists and agreed to turn it over."
Burlison said the lab had agreed to comply by handing over the material, though it was unclear whether a full or partial unveiling was on the cards.
What is the “flying saucer talk?”
From 1952 to 1969, the US Air Force ran a covert operation to determine whether UFOs posed a risk to national security by scientifically analyzing available details. The code name for this operation was “Project Blue Book.”
And as geopolitical tensions were peaking in and around 1952, project director Edward J. Ruppelt spent a large chunk of the time briefing military officials, scientists, and government researchers during one of the busiest years in UFO history.
The video that Burlison wants contains a significant briefing given by Ruppelt.
It occurred in March of that year, a few months before the famous UFO radar incidents in Washington, DC, that fueled national concern.
In 1956, when he released his book, The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects, Ruppelt described spending entire days briefing elite scientific groups about UFO reports and Air Force investigations, during which he narrowed the focus from 45,000 military sightings to 750 for Project Blue Book.
The contractor theory
Back in May, when Burlison sent the letter to the Lincoln Laboratory requesting the reel-to-reel recording, he also posted on X about his feelings toward institutional concealment.
“If you really want to hide something from Congress, you don't put it in a government file cabinet,” Burlison asserted, adding that “you hand it to a private contractor.”
Burlison's assertions align with whistleblower David Grusch’s view that sensitive UAP programs could be compartmentalized within contractor networks rather than within government agencies.
The private contractors Burlison mentioned can conceal information because they are exempt from the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Congress may well have the power to scrutinize the military, but much less so for private corporations.
Grusch was one of the first whistleblowers to proclaim that private corporations could be partial to reverse-engineering retrieved UFO craft, for commercial gain.
The UFO disclosure movement has picked up a lot of traction recently. Burlison and Grush, among others, appeared on Capitol Hill on June 8th, seeking out more transparent and robust efforts from all concerned in the process.

Lawmakers want immunity for list of UFO whistleblowers: Rep. Luna

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., stated she was frustrated over agencies failing to disclose documents related to UAPs to lawmakers during the start of the UAP Disclosure Forum.
She said Congress has been told the files can’t be located.
Luna said there is a list of people who lawmakers want to be granted immunity by the White House in order to allow them to share information on potentially recovered nonhuman craft or biologics. She said she has not personally seen either of those things.
Echoing a similar sentiment about transparency, Rep. Eric Burlison, R-Mo., said waiving nondisclosure agreements for individuals with any information about UAPs is imperative, and whistleblowers should be given immunity for sharing anything regarding the existence of life outside of Earth.
Speakers will include well-known proponents of UAP disclosure, including Christopher Mellon, who served in the administrations of former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush; retired Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet, who has spoken out about UAP sightings; and Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb.

Missing UFO scientist tried to escape secret Pentagon labs before vanishing

When someone walks away from their everyday life, they always leave behind a trail of unanswered questions.
That puzzle only grows deeper when the missing person holds access to highly classified government files.
Now, newly released police reports are shedding fresh light on a chilling disappearance.
Seeking an exit
Retired Air Force Major General William Neil McCasland vanished without a trace on February 27.
Author Sara Bondink recently used public records requests to uncover hidden details about the days leading up to his sudden departure.
The files show a March 3 interview between local police and his wife, Susan Wilkerson.
She told authorities her husband was desperately trying to step down from multiple high-level advisory roles connected to national defense secrets.
McCasland was linked to major military groups like Sandia National Laboratories. His wife claimed he wanted to quit out of fear that he was experiencing severe mental decline.
A heavy burden
Just days before he disappeared, the 68-year-old flew to Washington DC to resign from Riverside Research. The nonprofit handles massive technology contracts for the Pentagon and the intelligence community.
According to the Daily Mail, police noted his exact reasoning in their official files.
Authorities wrote in their report: “Upon returning to New Mexico, Neil told Susan that he resigned from the board of Riverside Research because he could not keep up, mentally, with the conversation.”
He left his home shortly after that trip. He left his phone and glasses behind, taking nothing but a pistol. When calling for emergency help, Wilkerson told 911 operators that it appeared he was trying “not to be found.”
The final hours
The mystery deepens when looking at his final known movements. An unidentified woman called the police to report a strange dinner she attended with the veteran officer the night before he went missing.
The witness claimed he was acting very strange. She told police, according to the Law&Crime Network: “[McCasland] was kind of spacey and quiet and you know that that happens with people.”
This case has caught national attention because of the veteran’s alleged ties to secret space programs.
UFO whistleblower David Grusch recently named McCasland as a central figure in classified operations handling non-human craft.
The FBI is currently investigating his case along with several other unusual disappearances involving nuclear and space scientists in New Mexico.
