Why is The Ukraine War Hardest to End?

June 27, 2026 | Sundance |

Mike Steger from Promethean Action PAC argues the reason the Ukraine war is hardest to end is simply because Ukraine represents the proxy state of all the globalist stakeholders who need another large conflict in order to eliminate the problem of a moral-based Christian perspective within the ‘West.’ Essentially, without Russia as the enemy, the factional war they need to retain power is much harder to achieve.

Promethean Action PAC YouTube: “Mike Steger explores the concept of “color revolutions” and argues that the same strategies used to influence governments abroad are now shaping politics across the West.

From Ukraine and the Arab Spring to Brazil, Europe, and the United States, Mike examines how non-governmental organizations, media networks, political activism, and government institutions have evolved into powerful geopolitical tools.

The discussion also explores President Trump’s efforts to reshape U.S. foreign policy, dismantle longstanding government programs, push election reforms, and challenge what Mike describes as the political establishment ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.” WATCH:

Ukrainian regiment commander suspended over training camp deaths

The “Skelia” assault unit is under investigation following allegations of abuse, torture, and non-combat fatalities of recruits

Published 27 Jun, 2026 01:18 |

The commander of one of Ukraine’s largest assault units has been suspended after a media investigation reported torture, abuse, and multiple non-combat deaths among recruits.

Lt. Col. Yury Harkaviy, who heads the 425th Separate Assault Regiment “Skelia” (formerly “Skala”), was removed from duty pending inspections and investigations, the army’s communications service announced on Thursday.

“If the facts of criminal offenses mentioned in the publications are confirmed, the guilty will definitely be held accountable in accordance with the law,” the Ukrainian army said in a statement.

The move follows an investigation by the Ukrainian outlet Babel published on Tuesday, which alleged severe mistreatment of mobilized soldiers at the regiment’s training sites. Citing relatives, former service men, and current soldiers, the outletsaid at least 25 recruits had died in or after passing through the unit’s training camps over the past six months.

The reportdescribed beatings, forced confinement, recruits being bound with tape or handcuffs, and cases of soldiers withserious health problems, addiction or psychiatric conditions being sent into assault trainingafter military medical commissions declared them fit for service.

One former recruit, Aleksandr Semyonov, reportedly arrived at a hospital in January withhead wounds, lacerated arms, broken fingers, and abrasions, claiming that he had been beaten and dragged along the groundafter being tied to a quad bike. He died days later, with pneumonia listed as the official cause of death.

Ukraine’s State Bureau of Investigation responded to the report by opening a pre-trial probe into possible abuse of authority by military officials under martial law.

“Skelia” has denied systematic abuse, declaring that the allegations require verification. The regiment said that many of the reported deaths occurred in hospitals or on the way to medical facilities, and attributed some fatalities to illnesses or poor health among mobilized soldiers.

The unit has also noted that many allegations came from soldiers who had refused service, deserted, or violated discipline.

The scandal comes as Ukraine faces deepening manpower shortagesafter more than four years of conflict. Kiev has tightened mobilization rules and expanded compulsory recruitment, while Ukrainian media have repeatedly reported violent draft raids, deaths in conscription centers, and cases of seriously ill men being declared fit for service.

Moscow has repeatedly said Kiev is running out of willing soldiers and is relying on coercive mobilization to replenish battlefield losses. Russian officials have accused the Ukrainian authorities of sacrificing their own population to keep fighting on behalf of Western backers.

Israel denounces Nazi chants at Kiev rally

Far-right Ukrainian nationalists staged a counterprotest against a gay pride march in the country’s capital

Published 26 Jun, 2026

TheIsraeli Embassy in Ukraine has criticized a Ukrainian far-right group for allegedly using Nazi symbolsduring a march in Kiev, held as a counterprotest to the annual pride march in the country’s capital.

Police used barricades to keep the two rival events –organized by pro-LGBT groups and far-right ultranationalists– separated last Sunday. The event has been marked by street violence and angry clashes in previous years.

The Israeli Embassy said on Wednesday that members of the Brotherhood movement, led byradical nationalist Dmitry Korchinsky, “chanted Nazi slogans and performed Nazi salutes,” and called for a “prompt response by the Ukrainian law enforcement authorities.” The brief statement did not give examples or further details of the alleged violations.

On Sunday, members of Brotherhood and other far-right groups gathered for a counterprotest, with many dressed in black and wearing face masks. They marched through central Kiev chanting slogans such as “idea, nation, down with degradation”and “family, tradition, order.” Videos from the rally showed several heated verbal confrontations, while some participants trampled LGBT flags on the ground.

While Nazi symbols are banned under Ukrainian law, the restrictions have rarely been enforced against far-right groupsand military units that openly use them as insignia. Troops wearing patches featuring the ‘totenkopf’ variant of the death’s head symbol and the Nazi eagle have repeatedly appeared in official photos and videos published by Vladimir Zelensky’s office and other Ukrainian government institutions.

Some Ukrainian far-right activists claim the Nazi-style salutes they use in public are not controversial. “Raising the right hand in Ukrainian tradition is a symbol of honor, strength and readiness for action,” the leader of the Carpathian Sich group, Taras Deyak, said in an interview last year. “This gesture is dedicated to the fight for the Ukrainian state.”

Brotherhood leader Korchinsky is a veteran of the Ukrainian nationalist movement who claims to have personally fought against Russian forces on the side of jihadists during the armed conflicts in Russia’s Chechen Republic. His vision for Ukraine is a military-religious dictatorship in which every child is taught to fight from an early age – a Christian Taliban, as he described it in a 2015 interview with The Intercept.

The swap was carried out via UAE mediation, according to the Defense Ministry

Published 26 Jun, 2026 12:51 |

Russia and Ukraine have conducted another prisoner of war exchange, with 160 servicemen returned to each side, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has announced.

In a statement on Friday, the ministry said “160 Russian servicemen were returned from territory controlled by the Kiev regime.”In exchange, 160 Ukrainian Armed Forces prisoners of war were released.

The returned Russian servicemen are currently in Belarus, where they are receiving psychological and medical assistance, the ministry said. Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova is working with the freed soldiers.

The servicemen will later be transported to Russia for further treatment and rehabilitation.

The exchange was carried out with mediation from the United Arab Emirates, the Defense Ministry said.

The latest swap follows a series of exchanges between Russia and Ukraine in recent months. On June 5, the two sides exchanged 185 servicemen each, also with UAE mediation. On May 15, Moscow and Kiev exchanged another 205 POWs each.

The May swap had been described as the first stage of a wider 1,000-for-1,000 exchange, which was announced following US-mediated contacts around Russia’s Victory Day commemorations.

Russia and Ukraine have continued to exchange prisoners and the bodies of fallen soldiers despite the ongoing conflict. The UAE has repeatedly acted as a mediator in humanitarian efforts between the two sides.
