I have made the mistake I climbing Camelback and Squaw Peak late afternoon, only to be going down the mountains in the dark, beautiful, but not ideal.
Also, notice that their are a few triangles etched, cracked, in the mountain. And then the pyramid shadow.
If ever in Phoenix, definitely do the two hikes. Camelback Mountain and Squaw Peak. Beautiful hike and do not just go part of the way, make yourself go to top of both, the view and sound is magnificent.
Squaw Peak is renamed Piestewa Peak. I still call it Squaw Peak.
