Beijing unveils space computing innovation center to build full-stack computing ecosystem
15:00, 30-Jun-2026
The Beijing Space Computing Innovation Center was unveiled at the 2026 Global Digital Economy Conference on Monday in the capital city, marking a major step in China's efforts to advance coordinated development in the space-based computing sector.
Positioned as the country's first dedicated platform focused on linking the entire industrial chain, the center aims to coordinate upstream and downstream industry players to build a full-stack space computing ecosystem that covers chips, hardware, platforms, intelligence, networks and applications.
The center has outlined six priority areas of development, including space-based computing chip design, high-performance computing payloads, satellite platforms and ground testing infrastructure, large model deployment, integrated space-ground cloud computing technologies, and satellite application innovation with scenario validation.
Alongside the center, an expert committee and an innovation alliance were established. The alliance has drawn 108 founding member organizations, drawing universities, research institutes, state-owned enterprises and private firms.
It aims to accelerate the breakthroughs in core technologies, strengthening industrial collaboration, developing unified standards, building capacities for public services and supporting real-world applications.
In-orbit processing
Space computing refers to the deployment of computing systems on satellites. Equipped with radiation-resistant chips, onboard servers and storage systems, these satellites can process data directly in orbit rather than transmitting it back to Earth for analysis.
By linking multiple satellites into networks, they can collect, analyze and make decisions in real time before transmitting the most valuable results to the ground.
Space provides unique advantages for computing, including abundant solar energy, low temperatures and near-vacuum conditions that resemble a green data center in orbit.
Once deployed at scale, such networks could reduce dependence on terrestrial fiber and ground stations, enabling near-global coverage.
China has already begun early-stage deployment. In May last year, a Long March-2D rocket launched 12 satellites from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, forming the world's first space computing satellite constellation.
Wide applications
Potential applications for space computing span multiple sectors.
In disaster monitoring, satellites could rapidly detect wildfires, flooding and earthquake damage, improving emergency response times. In agriculture, they could enable real-time tracking of crop growth, identify pests and diseases, and evaluate drought conditions.
In remote environments such as oceans and polar regions, space computing systems could help identify illegal fishing activity and analyze ice dynamics.

Air Force Reserve, French Air and Space Force turn partnership into readiness during RAPP engagement
June 29, 2026
For the U.S. Air Force Reserve and the French Air and Space Force, interoperability isn't a talking point. It's the difference between two allied forces showing up for an engagement and two allied forces ready to operate together when the mission demands it.
That readiness drove a Reserve Allies and Partners Program engagement held June 23-25 in the National Capital Region and at Pittsburgh Air Reserve Station, Pennsylvania.
The three-day event brought together Air Force Reserve Command leaders, and a French Air and Space Force delegation led by Lt. Gen. Dominique Tardif, vice chief of the French Air and Space Force, for key leader discussions, airlift training, aeromedical evacuation integration and military-to-military exchanges.
Lt. Gen. John Healy, chief of the Air Force Reserve and commander of Air Force Reserve Command, said the engagement was deliberately built around practical training rather than ceremony.
"This is all about interoperability between our two forces," Healy said. "By that crew in the A400M knowing how we fly the C-17, getting in the simulators with us, and flying in formation, it's a force multiplier."
The engagement was part of RAPP, the Air Force Reserve's framework for strengthening relationships, interoperability and shared understanding with allied and partner reserve forces.
RAPP is built around four lines of effort: key leader engagements, military-to-military exchanges, subject matter expert exchanges and professional development.
"The whole point behind the Reserve Allies and Partners Program is to ensure that we have dedicated ties to different countries so that we're able to not count on the chance exercise, but deliberately planned exercises," Healy said.
"This was a deliberate event with specific training objectives," Healy said. "On today's flight, we conducted copilot training, airdrop training and aeromedical evacuation training. These are deliberately planned events designed to build interoperability between our forces."
The week opened June 23 with an office call between Healy and the French delegation at the Pentagon. Discussions focused on expanding cooperation between the two forces, building on bilateral Terms of Reference signed during a previous RAPP engagement in Paris.
The next day, the engagement connected military cooperation to the long-standing alliance between the U.S. and France.
On June 24, leaders from the Air Force and the French delegation attended an airshow practice demonstration by the Patrouille de France at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland.
Flying the Dassault/Dornier Alpha Jet, the French demonstration team honored the United States 250th birthday and the deep history shared by the two nations.
1/2
For Tardif, the partnership is rooted in history but focused on future operational demands.
"If we want to be able to operate on different conflicts and different areas in the world, we need to be interoperable," Tardif said. "Interoperability is, perhaps, some common procedures, but more than that, if you want to be efficient, you need also to be able to know each other."
That focus on knowing each other moved from discussion to execution June 25 during an airlift training mission from JB Andrews to Pittsburgh ARB.
Healy and the French delegation flew aboard a French A400M Atlas while a C-17 Globemaster III from the 911th Airlift Wing flew the same route.
The aircraft conducted coordinated low-level airdrop training and aeromedical evacuation training, allowing aircrews to observe procedures, compare capabilities and build shared understanding in flight.
At Pittsburgh, leaders from the 911th AW gave the French delegation a mission brief, and overview of how a Reserve wing organizes, trains and delivers combat airlift capability.
"We are honored to welcome our French partners to Pittsburgh," said Col. Douglas Stouffer, commander of the 911thAW. "Hosting events like this bolsters our capability to operate alongside our allies in any contingency or conflict.
By collaborating and exchanging knowledge with the French Air and Space Force, we are increasing our readiness to answer our Nation's call."
The visit also spotlighted AFR’s critical role in aeromedical evacuation.
The Air Force Reserve provides more than 60% of the Air Force's aeromedical evacuation capability, making Reserve Airmen central to the nation's ability to move and care for wounded, ill or injured personnel during contingency operations.
During the return flight to JB Andrews, Airmen from the 911th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron integrated with the French aircrew, loading personnel and equipment onto the A400M.
The scenario gave both sides hands-on training in how allied crews can move critical patients across platforms quickly when speed, flexibility and access matter most.
"Just by the virtue of putting an air evac crew in the back means that regardless of who lands at any forward location, if it's a French A400M or a U.S. C-17, the air evac group can load critical wounded and get them treated as soon as possible," Healy said.
For the French Air and Space Force, the engagement comes at a time of increased focus on reserve capability and force development.
"For me, the main topic is to reinforce the link between U.S. Air Force Reserve and us, because we have some very big change and objectives in terms of reserve reinforcement in France," Tardif said.
The engagement also demonstrated what AFR leaders call the Reserve Advantage, a concept rooted in Reserve Airmen bringing military capability, civilian expertise, operational experience and continuity to both the joint force and allied partnerships.
Through RAPP, those strengths can be aligned with partner nations facing similar challenges in readiness, mobilization and operational integration.
"This is deliberate training, which is exactly what our Reserve Allies and Partner Program is all about," Healy said. "Making sure we have the opportunity to work together and expand our minds beyond our own fleet and what we're only trained to."
With the United States marking 250 years of independence, the week's events were more than a reflecting on shared history. They were an investment in future operations and the ability of allied reserve forces to respond together when called.

Time to say goodbye to Sentinel-1A
30/06/2026
After 12 years of exceptional service, the pioneering Copernicus Sentinel-1A radar satellite has reached the end of its mission.
Originally designed for a seven-year life in orbit, the satellite has exceeded expectations, not only by its longevity, but through the extraordinary impact of its data, which have deepened our understanding of our changing planet and supported a wide range of operational services and laid the foundation for scientific discoveries.
While Sentinel-1A's remarkable journey has come to an end, the mission lives on with gusto with Sentinel-1C and Sentinel-1D – ensuring that Europe maintains an unblinking radar eye on Earth for years to come.
Launched on 3 April 2014, Sentinel-1A marked more than the start of a single mission; it heralded the beginning of Copernicus, the Earth observation component of the European Union’s space programme.
For more than a decade, Sentinel-1A served as an unwavering eye in the sky.
Equipped with an advanced C-band synthetic aperture radar, it delivered high-resolution images of Earth day and night and no matter the weather. Its ability to see through adverse weather conditions made it an indispensable tool for monitoring our dynamic planet.
From tracking Arctic sea ice and monitoring glacier movement to detecting oil spills, mapping floods and supporting disaster response efforts worldwide, the satellite became an indispensable asset for environmental monitoring and public safety, while advancing our scientific understanding of the planet at the same time.
Its achievements are all the more remarkable considering that it significantly outlived its original design lifetime.
Sentinel-1A remained operational well beyond its planned mission duration, and became especially critical after its sister satellite, Sentinel-1B, suffered a power-system failure in 2021.
During those challenging years, Sentinel-1A shouldered much of the responsibility for maintaining Europe's radar Earth observation capability.
The satellite's legacy extends far beyond Europe. Like all Copernicus Sentinel missions, Sentinel-1A's data were made freely and openly available to users worldwide, supporting scientific research, climate studies, agricultural monitoring, maritime security operations and humanitarian relief efforts.
Millions of radar images acquired over its lifetime have contributed to a growing archive that will continue to inform research and decision-making for decades to come.
1/2
ESA’s Operations Centre in Germany confirmed that Sentinel-1A's operational duties ended on 29 June 2026.
Two of the last radar images that Sentinel-1A returned before it was officially retired captured western Iceland and Melbourne in Australia, both featured below.
In the weeks leading up to retirement, mission controllers carried out some complex orbital manoeuvres, carefully coaxing Sentinel-1A and its younger siblings, Sentinel-1C and Sentinel-1D, into a three-satellite configuration.
This has ensured a seamless transition so that the younger siblings are in the right positions to take on their important roles of primary suppliers of radar data from space.
ESA’s Sentinel-1 Mission Manager, Nuno Miranda, said, “Sentinel-1A holds a special place for all of us. As the first satellite of the Copernicus programme, it paved the way for new approaches in both operations and science.
Over the years, it has weathered several disruptions and challenges. Yet, despite being the oldest member of the fleet, it is far from obsolete in the new-space era.
“Sentinel-1A remains at the forefront of Earth observation and continues to play a key role in enabling the application of artificial intelligence in data and services. After years of outstanding service, Sentinel-1A has earned a well-deserved retirement.
“Over the past few years, the teams have worked tirelessly to dispose of one satellite and commissioning two new ones. Today, Sentinel-1C and Sentinel-1D are performing very well and offer improved capabilities with respect Sentinel-1A.
This gives us great confidence as we look to the future of the mission.
“While Sentinel-1A's operational life has come to an end, its story is not yet over. The team is now preparing for the disposal phase, which is expected to begin during the summer.”
The Sentinel-1D and Sentinel-1C satellites are now working in tandem, orbiting on opposite sides of the globe, 180° apart, to optimise global coverage and data delivery.
Both satellites carry a C-band synthetic aperture radar along with an Automatic Identification System (AIS) instrument – so while capturing high-resolution imagery of Earth’s surface, these two satellites also improve the detection and tracking of ships over maritime zones.
ESA’s Director of Earth Observation Programmes, said, “Sentinel-1A was far more than a satellite – it opened the Copernicus era. For over a decade, it delivered vital data every day, helping us better understand our planet and respond to some of society's most pressing challenges.
“As we bid farewell to this remarkable satellite, we celebrate an extraordinary legacy and look forward with confidence as Sentinel-1C and Sentinel-1D carry that legacy into the years ahead."

Six-month-old killed in Ukrainian drone strike on Moscow Region – governor
30 Jun, 2026 07:02 | Updated 30 Jun, 2026 08:05
A UAV crashed into a private house in Yegoryevsk, 110 km southeast of Moscow, injuring three other people, Andrey Vorobyov has said
A six-month-old baby has been killed in a Ukrainian drone attack in Moscow Region, Governor Andrey Vorobyov has said, adding that three other people were pulled from under the rubble of a residential building.
In a Telegram post on Tuesday, Vorobyov said the drone came down in the town of Yegoryevsk, around 110 km southeast of Moscow. “At night, as a result of a drone crash in Yegoryevsk, a private house caught fire.
People were trapped under the rubble,” he wrote. The surviving victims – two adults and one child – have been hospitalized and are receiving assistance, Vorobyov added.
The infant died on the way to the hospital, the governor said, expressing his condolences.
According to Vorobyov, the Yegoryevsk strike was part of a wider overnight assault in which air defenses repelled 60 drones across Moscow Region, mostly in the south.
The governor added that a separate drone strike damaged an administrative building in Dubna, 100 km north of the capital, while another drone hit a house in the village of Fateyevo, east of Moscow, with no casualties in either case.
The Russian Defense Ministry said air defense units intercepted 419 Ukrainian drones overnight across the nation.
Ukraine has stepped up long-range drone raids deep into Russian territory in recent months, often targeting critical infrastructure as well as residential buildings.
Earlier this month, Kiev launched one of the largest drone attacks on Moscow since the escalation of the Ukraine conflict, hitting an oil refinery in the capital and injuring 17 people, including two children, across the capital region.

Drone attack targets Russian satellite facility near Moscow
30 Jun 2026 19:47
Ukraine said its drones struck a Russian satellite communications center in the Moscow region on Tuesday, while Russian authorities claimed they intercepted hundreds of drones in overnight attacks.
In a post on X on Tuesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote that long-range defences had reached the Dubna space communications centre in the Moscow region, News.Az reports, citing Global News.
“This is a special satellite communications facility used, in particular, for reconnaissance and for coordinating the activity of Russia’s occupation contingent in Ukraine,” he wrote, adding that the targeting of such centres was part of a broader plan to stifle Russia’s “invasion operations against Ukraine and the occupation of our territories.”
“Relevant actions are also being prepared against other similar enemy facilities,” the statement concluded.
It was shared with footage that appears to show drones flying over Russian airspace in both urban and rural areas. Explosions and sirens can be heard, and plumes of smoke are also visible.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in a Telegram post Tuesday morning that “Another massive attack by enemy drones has been repelled. Since 8:00 PM, air defense forces have destroyed 61 UAVs on approach to Moscow alone.”

UK drone transformation to strengthen Armed Forces backed by more than £5 billion
29 June 2026
Britain's Armed Forces will be strengthened and thousands of British jobs created through a drone transformation, announced by the Prime Minister and backed by more than £5 billion in the Government’s Defence Investment Plan.
Largest ever drone investment in UK Armed Forces – more than £5 billion over the next four years – to be included in the Defence Investment Plan.
Investment will drive a drone transformation for the UK Armed Forces, with new technology and infrastructure to keep the nation at the leading edge of innovation, and back British jobs.
Prime Minister to launch Defence Investment Plan today (Tuesday 30 June), setting out how the Government will go further and faster on defence spending to protect the nation.
Britain’s Armed Forces will be strengthened and thousands of British jobs created through a drone transformation, announced by the Prime Minister today and backed by more than £5 billion in the Government’s Defence Investment Plan.
In a major speech at a British defence firm today (Tuesday 30 June), the Prime Minister will set out how new investment in defence will accelerate the use of drones and autonomous systems across the Armed Forces and keep the country safe for years to come, as he launches the Defence Investment Plan.
As the conflicts in Iran and Ukraine show, drones are rapidly reshaping warfare, with cheap systems destroying high value targets and innovation cycles measured in weeks, not years.
Ukraine uses roughly 200,000 drones a month to defend itself from Russia’s barbaric invasion, while at the height of the Iran conflict, 700 offensive drones were being launched per day.
The £5 billion investment will see Britain build a flexible, integrated force with attack drones flying alongside Army helicopters, RAF jets made invisible from enemy detection with new drones, and a hybrid Royal Navy made up of crewed and uncrewed vessels.
It will also fund Europe’s biggest drone testing centre, the Uncrewed Systems Centre, opened earlier this month in Swindon, and a new Uncrewed Systems Taskforce to rapidly develop and field new autonomous capabilities with industry.
This will ensure the UK can continuously scale production and get the very latest drones into the hands of our Armed Forces to protect the UK and our Allies.
The Prime Minister will today lay out other key areas of the Defence Investment Plan and how the Government will go further and faster on defence spending to protect national security, drive growth across the country and deliver opportunity.
The Defence Secretary has spent the last two weeks refocusing the DIP so that it prioritises getting the latest kit into the hands of military personnel, including for the UK’s elite Commandos.
They will be equipped with new high-speed boats and the latest drone and autonomous technology. At least six new warships will also be built for the Royal Navy, delivering the UK’s most advanced maritime air defence capability and keeping British shipyards working for decades to come.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer said:
This game-changing investment will strengthen our Armed Forces on land, at sea and in the air, ensuring our servicemen and women have the cutting-edge capabilities they need to deter evolving threats and keep the British people safe.
At the same time, we are backing British innovation, British industry and British jobs and delivering opportunity to every corner of the country.
Today’s Defence Investment Plan will help drive growth across the UK, giving our industrial base the confidence, certainty and support it needs to develop and scale the technologies that will keep our country safe and secure long into the future.
1/2
Defence Secretary Dan Jarvis MBE MP said:
Our Armed Forces are serving at an increasingly dangerous and unpredictable time. We are determined to give them what they need as they serve with courage and exceptional skill to keep us safe. The character of warfare is rapidly changing.
In Ukraine and the Middle East, uncrewed systems are defining conflicts. This largest ever UK investment into these evolving technologies will help our Armed Forces stay ahead of our adversaries, backed by the best of our defence industry.
We are giving our extraordinary people the equipment they need to fight and win.
This major investment will see capabilities ranging from highly complex autonomous mine-hunting drones to small ‘quadcopter’ tactical drones, and low-cost ‘kamikaze’ one-way attack drones. The drone transformation will be accelerated across all the services:
Royal Navy
The Royal Navy is transforming into a Hybrid Navy, combining autonomous vessels and AI with warships and aircraft, including:
Type 91: Uncrewed missile platforms to increase the firepower of the Hybrid Fleet.
Type 92: Uncrewed sense platforms designed to hunt enemy submarines across the North Atlantic, supporting our new frigates.
Type 93: Extra-large uncrewed underwater vessels which will work alongside crewed hunter-killer submarines to seek and destroy enemy submarines.
Type 94: Uncrewed sense platforms designed to scan the skies for threats to the hybrid navy or the homeland.
In the 2030s, we will expand the numbers of the above platforms and bring at least six Common Combat Vessels into service as the brain of a networked Maritime Air Defence system.
Project PANTHEON: Development of a Hybrid Carrier Air Wing, including trialling jet-powered drones to work alongside our F-35B force.
Our Royal Marine Commandos will benefit from further investment in their transformation, equipped with new high-speed boats and the latest drone and autonomous technology.
British Army
The British Army is increasing its lethality, including through:
A major investment into inexpensive expendable autonomous systems and loitering munitions to enhance the lethality of the Army, including a £50 million boost over the next 12 months for the Army’s RAPSTONE programme, funding additional first person view and interceptor drones.
Uncrewed Ground Vehicles: A new programme to rapidly develop and produce uncrewed vehicles and their associated mission systems for the Army through UK industry.
Project NYX: Up to 24 autonomous armed drones will be operational by 2030, flying alongside the Army’s recently upgraded Apache helicopters. They will carry out reconnaissance, precision strikes, and electronic warfare.
Project Corvus: Up to 24 surveillance drones to replace the Watchkeeper system, carrying out intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance.
Royal Air Force
The Royal Air Force is transforming, investing in:

Helicopter reports near miss with RC plane near JFK after JetBlue drone strike
June 29, 2026 9:29pm EDT | Updated June 30, 2026 7:31am EDT
A red and white remote-controlled airplane was spotted at 500 feet near a key navigation beacon used for JFK landings
A helicopter pilot reported he "just almost ran into a gigantic RC airplane" near John F. Kennedy International Airport Monday afternoon, according to newly released air traffic control audio, marking the second aviation safety scare near the airport in a single day.
"A helicopter pilot flying near John F. Kennedy International Airport reported a remote-control airplane flew close to their aircraft," the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said.
The sighting came just hours after a separate incident in which a JetBlue pilot reported a possible drone strike while the plane was approaching JFK for landing.
Air traffic control audio obtained by LiveATC captured the helicopter pilot telling controllers the close encounter over the northern portion of Floyd Bennett Field.
When asked whether it appeared to be a drone, the pilot replied it was "just an RC, one of the remote-controlled airplanes, a big one at 500 feet."
JFK air traffic control issued a warning to nearby pilots of an unauthorized unmanned aircraft system (UAS) operating in protected airspace, according to ATIS.guru, which collects live digital messages from airports around the world.
According to the warning, a "red and white" remote-controlled airplane was spotted flying at roughly 4:05 p.m. local time.
It was observed at an altitude of 500 feet, placing it within the typical flight path of low-flying commercial aircraft approaching the airport, according to the ATIS warning.
The aircraft was reported about 1 mile from the Canarsie (CRI) navigation beacon, a key waypoint used by aircraft lining up to land at JFK.
The helicopter pilot also told controllers he saw "a couple other ones on the ground" that appeared to be preparing to take off from what he described as an RC flying area near Floyd Bennett Field.
Air traffic controllers told the pilot they would notify NYPD Aviation to investigate the report.
Asked whether the aircraft had struck his helicopter, the pilot responded: "No, I just missed it, but I didn't hit it or anything."
Authorities have not indicated whether the helicopter encounter and the earlier reported drone strike involving the JetBlue flight are connected.
The FAA said it notified local authorities about the report.
Flying a remote-controlled aircraft or drone near a major airport is illegal and poses a serious safety risk to aircraft operating in the area, according to the agency.
Earlier Monday morning, a JetBlue flight reported striking a drone at approximately 3,000 feet roughly 10 miles from JFK, the FAA said.
Air traffic control audio from that incident indicated the object appeared to strike the aircraft above the cockpit.
The flight landed safely, and a post-flight inspection did not reveal any damage to the aircraft, JetBlue said.
The FAA is investigating the reported JetBlue incident.

Luis Elizondo denies allegation he was tied to UAP secrecy efforts
Updated: Jun 29, 2026 / 10:12 PM CDT
UAP whistleblower Luis Elizondo is responding to allegations he was part of a government group that covered up evidence on unidentified aerial phenomena.
The claims came from NewsNation special correspondent Ross Coulthart, who recently said on his “Reality Check” podcast that many are not pleased by the news Elizondo may be tapped by the Trump administration for an official role to disclose what the government knows about UAP.
“There are people who bitterly resent and don’t think it’s a good idea that Lou be appointed to a position of power in UAP transparency,” Coulthart said, “because they think that he was part of a previous agenda that was essentially to try to control the narrative, to restrict what the public is entitled to know about the UAP disclosure.”
Elizondo used to be the director of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, or AATIP, a Pentagon unit that studied aerial threats including UAP. He resigned in 2017 in protest of how much the government kept secret about UAP.
Speaking with NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo on Monday, Elizondo said while he respects Coulthart and has been a frequent guest on his show, his current claims are wrong.
“I find it interesting that just weeks ago, according to some on social media, I had nothing to do with the UFO program or the Pentagon or AATIP,” he said.
“And now, apparently, I ran everything involving UFOs and the legacy program. So, I don’t know exactly where Ross is getting his information.”
Elizondo pointed to the last 10 years of his life, which have been dedicated to sharing all he knows about what the government has hidden regarding UAP.
“I’ve committed myself to transparency to the degree that I could,” Elizondo said. “When you work for the government and you have a security clearance, there’s always these statements, you know, we cannot confirm or deny.
And people always take that as some sort of implicit yes. … In fact, I can’t even acknowledge that.”
In the end, Elizondo said any negative press toward him doesn’t matter because it still gets people talking about UAP.
“I have an opportunity to use this in order to raise awareness about the reality that our government has been involved in this topic for decades. And that’s a small price to pay. I’m willing to do that.”

UAP whistleblower Luis Elizondo details congressional staffer's warning of a plot to 'eliminate' him
June 30, 2026 10:39am EDT
A whistleblower's brush with death, a congressman's dive into one of America's biggest mysteries and chilling warnings for their safety have taken center stage on the latest episode of the "Hang Out With Sean Hannity" podcast.
Former Pentagon official and UFO whistleblower Luis Elizondo recalled a startling warning he received from a congressional staffer regarding him and fellow whistleblower David Grusch.
"There was a plan to eliminate you," Elizondo said, recounting the warning.
According to Elizondo, the "inebriated" staffer had left a classified briefing on Capitol Hill where government officials had disclosed the information just prior to the call.
Though no details were provided regarding how the plan had been formulated or exactly what it entailed, he indicated he was prepared for such a faceoff.
"It's the reason why I have five German shepherds, and I'm heavily armed," he said.
A call from another staffer immediately followed, offering another ominous warning related to the news.
"[The] first thing he says, 'Lou, are you okay?' I said, 'Yeah, I'm fine, why?' He's like, 'Well, you need to really watch yourself. Because there was discussions involving you and Grusch, that some people were very upset with what you guys did,'" he recounted.
Both Elizondo and Grusch were former intelligence officials who helped spearhead calls to disclose classified information regarding UFOs or unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs).
Their calls have been met with some resistance, he says, including the alleged plan.
Tennessee GOP Rep. Tim Burchett, also appearing on the podcast, similarly touched on the dangers of pressing for transparency,
"I was sitting at the house and I got a call from… a friend of the administration. It told me that I'd kicked a hornet's nest, and it said, you need to get bodies around you," he recalled.
"I'm in East Tennessee, I've got bodies around me. There's enough good old boys out there…" he continued.
"Lou will tell you we have kicked a virtual hornet's nest, and these people don't want this stuff out, and I have my own theories about that as well. I'm sure Lou does, too."

L.A. Marzulli Says Fifth UFO Encounter Confirms ‘The Great Deception’ Is Here
Jun 30, 2026
For decades, researcher and filmmaker L.A. Marzulli has sounded the alarm that the growing fascination with UFOs is far more than a scientific mystery.
Now, after what he says may have been his fifth personal UFO encounter, he is urging Christians to recognize the phenomenon for what he believes it ultimately represents: a coming spiritual deception.
Speaking in a recent video, Marzulli didn’t mince words.
“UFOs are real, burgeoning, not going away. This is the coming great deception,” he said.
Marzulli recounted filming an unexplained object while standing outside with his wife, Peggy. The silent object appeared to drift, briefly change direction and eventually disappear from sight.
“We have an object, folks. And I don’t know what this is,” Marzulli said while recording the sighting. “There doesn’t seem to be any sound at all.”
Although he acknowledged the object could have had a conventional explanation, he said its unusual movement prompted him to classify it as what researchers call a possible “Close Encounter of the First Kind.”
The latest incident joins what Marzulli says are four previous unexplained encounters stretching back to his childhood. He recalled seeing a metallic craft while attending summer camp in Maryland at age 12.
“We looked at it for 15 to 20 seconds… and it just went up in the air. It was gone,” he said.
He also described mysterious lights seen in California, Oklahoma and Florida, including one encounter in which he says an unexplained light disappeared immediately after he and Peggy began praying.
“We need to start to pray,” Peggy told him, according to Marzulli. “The moment we started to pray… the light just took off and was gone.”
Throughout the discussion, Marzulli repeatedly stressed that he does not seek paranormal experiences.
“I don’t go out looking for these things. I really don’t,” he said.
Instead, he encouraged believers to respond spiritually rather than with fascination, repeating a phrase he says the Lord impressed upon him years ago:
“Rebuke first, ask questions later.”
Marzulli also challenged the increasingly popular narrative that alleged extraterrestrials are benevolent visitors.
“If they’re so wise and benevolent… why abduct children at five and six years old? Why implant them?” he asked while referencing years of research into alleged abduction cases.
Scripture repeatedly warns believers to exercise discernment in the last days. Jesus cautioned that deception would dramatically increase before His return (Matt. 24:4-5), while the apostle Paul warned that Satan himself “masquerades as an angel of light” (2 Cor. 11:14).
As conversations surrounding UFO disclosure continue to move into the mainstream, we are called not to fear sensational headlines or chase mysterious phenomena, but to remain firmly anchored in God’s Word, test every spirit (1 John 4:1), and keep our eyes fixed on Christ rather than signs and wonders that could ultimately lead many astray.

Glasgow named Scotland's 'alien abduction capital' ahead of World UFO Day
17:19, 30 Jun 2026
According to a new study, any one resident apparently has a 1 in 12,972 chance over five years to be 'beamed up'.
For a bit of fun ahead of World UFO Day on July 2, a new study has looked at the places across the UK where you are most likely to be 'abducted by aliens'.
And apparently, Glasgow leads Scotland for alien abduction odds, with any person living here having a 1 in 12,972 chance over five years of being 'beamed up' by some extraterrestrial visitors.
Glasgow ranked 11th across all 25 UK cities, according to CSB, a platform that analyses odds, which ranked UK cities using UFO Identified data via over 50 FOI requests to UK police forces.
Scotland is also the second most likely place, ahead of Wales, the North West, and every English region, except the South West.
Glasgow outranks the likes of London, Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds, and Edinburgh on a per-person basis, while Cambridge in England was named the city most likely for you to be abducted across the UK.
A hotbed of activity, Scotland has had many famous cases over the years, including the Calvine incident, when in 1979, two men photographed a diamond-shaped object in Perthshire and reported it to the Ministry of Defence.
The photograph was classified for over 30 years.
And in Dechmont Woods the same year, Scottish forestry worker Robert Taylor took his dog out for a winter stroll and encountered a UFO on the ground that apparently released two spheres that started forcefully dragging him towards the saucer and eventually rendered him unconscious.
