On Wednesday, Palantir CEO Alex Karp delivered a blistering critique of frontier AI labs, accusing them of having an "effing insane" business model that leaves enterprises paying escalating token costs for limited value while risking their proprietary data and intellectual property. He said that top AI labs such as Anthropic and OpenAI were misleading corporate partners - "overselling" the risks of AI while at the same time offering their most powerful models to companies and governments worldwide.

Vance Explains How US Will Use Iran MoU To Replenish Global Oil Supply

Vice President JD Vance said in an interview on "The Michael Knowles Show" published Tuesday that the US would use the Memorandum of Understanding with Iran to "refill" global oil supplies and stockpiles and to prepare for more potential military action against the Islamic Republic.

"I think what the president has told us to do is use this MoU to sort of refill the world's oil economy, to refill some stocks, and then to see where the hand is," the vice president said.

"And … if the Iranians are willing to make the commitments that we would like them to make and are willing to back those up with verifiable milestones, then we are going to change our relationship with Iran. And if they don't do that, then nothing has really changed except for what we’ve already accomplished from the military campaign, which is a lot. So, we kind of have two options here. We have the option of pursuing a long-term deal with the Iranians, but that requires a significant change in their behavior. We have the option of banking our wins and then, of course, doing things on top of that if the president feels that we have to. And I think both of those options are very much in play," he added.

Summarizing the position, Knowles said, "So then the message if you’re an Iranian, the message you’re getting from the US is not, okay, we’ve settled this, you get to keep the Strait of Hormuz and we’ll try to play nice. Now, the message is we’re going to serve our self-interest by replenishing the oil coffers and get back to us in 60 days, you might have some fire and brimstone coming back down."

Vance didn’t dispute Knowles’ characterization and said, "And if you actually behave, you won’t, right?"

Trita Parsi, the executive vice president of the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, said in a post on X that Vance's comments heightened suspicion in Iran that the war will restart despite the MoU. He made the comments in a post discussing the view in Iranian political circles that Israel may launch an attack before Israeli elections are held in October.

“Will Israel restart the war with Iran before the October elections? This is the consensus view emerging within Iran’s internal national security debate over the past week,” Parsi said.

Judge Blocks USPS Ballot Rule Tied To Trump's Election Integrity Order

A federal judge on Wednesday blocked the U.S. Postal Service from implementing a Trump administration proposal to boost election integrity by enhancing ballot tracking and verification, finding it conflicted with a 2021 settlement requiring the agency to prioritize the timely delivery of election mail.

U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan ruled on July 1 that USPS could not move forward with the proposed rule, which would have required states using the mail for federal absentee and mail-in voting to adopt standardized ballot envelopes with trackable barcodes and provide USPS with voter participation lists to make ballot verification easier. Ballot mailings that failed to comply would have been rejected.

One day after the proposed rule was published in early June, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) returned to court in a long-running lawsuit originally filed during the 2020 election, asking Sullivan to enforce a 2021 settlement that requires USPS to prioritize the monitoring and timely delivery of election mail through the 2028 election cycle.

The proposed rule stems from President Donald Trump’s March executive order directing USPS to develop new standards for handling federal ballot mail as part of a broader thrust to bolster election integrity.

The Justice Department, which represented USPS in the case, did not respond to a request for comment before publication.

Rule Boosts Election Integrity, DOJ Says

In opposing the NAACP’s motion, the Department of Justice (DOJ) argued in a court brief that the proposed rule was designed to improve—not hinder—the handling of election mail.

Attorneys representing the Trump administration wrote that requiring standardized Election Mail logos and Intelligent Mail barcodes would make ballots easier to identify throughout the postal network. They argued this would allow USPS to better monitor the movement of mail-in ballots and help implement the “extraordinary measures” USPS has traditionally used to expedite election mail before federal elections.

“Such requirements promote the ’monitoring and timely delivery of Election Mail'; they do not frustrate it,” they wrote in the brief. “And while the Postal Service has proposed requiring state and local election officials to identify the names and addresses of the persons to whom they send ballots and to provide the barcodes for the ballot envelopes, requiring this information—which officials already, by definition, have—would not compromise the lawful delivery of any mail.”

The administration stated in the proposal that the new rule would strengthen election integrity by creating a uniform ballot-tracking system while leaving decisions about voter eligibility entirely to the states.

The 42-year-old convict, Tou Lue Vang, submitted a letter to the board saying he regretted what he did – and just like that, his criminal record is now clean as a whistle via unanimous decision.

“Governor Tim Walz's decision to pardon an illegal alien convicted child rapist so he can remain in our country is disgusting,” said DHS spokeswoman Lauren Bis. “These are the criminal illegal aliens he and his Minnesota sanctuary politicians are protecting. Tou Lue Vang lost his legal status following his conviction for repeatedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl."

In a storyline that has Democrats co-conspiring to infuse precious "diversity" into the American bloodstream over more than three decades, the Clinton administration granted Vang legal status after he entered the United States as a child in 1994. Now, 2024 Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz has helped guarantee that the convicted sex fiend will be safe from deportation. The two other members of the pardon board are Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and chief Supreme Court justice, Natalie Hudson.

Vang was convicted of sexually assaulting a girl who was just 10 years old when his perverted acts began. He repeated the offense with the same girl between 2002 and 2004, and pathetically tried to buy her silence with an offer of just $10 in hush money. After his conviction, an immigration judge ordered his removal way back in 2006.

When he was first interrogated by police, Vang tried to sweep away the gravity of his actions, telling them, "it is a cultural thing…to marry and have sex with girls as young as 12.” Apparently, Walz who's heralded as a reliable "ally" for the LGBTQ crowd and famously put tampons in school-kids' boys rooms thinks diversity in sexual morality is our strength too. Vang's pardon quest was bolstered by a supportive letter to the board from his victim, along with many letters of support from the "community."

Appeals Court Blocks Trump Administration from Firing 19 Intelligence Officials Assigned to DEI Jobs

A federal appeals court on Thursday blocked the Trump Administration from firing 19 intelligence officers assigned to DEI jobs.

The Virginia-based Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a district court judge’s injunction requiring the intelligence agencies to provide the officials with an opportunity to be reassigned.

A group of anonymous intelligence officers, who had been temporarily reassigned to roles implementing controversial Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) programs, previously filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and the CIA.

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, names ODNI, the CIA, and leadership — Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and CIA Director John Ratcliffe—as defendants.

The plaintiffs, identified as “John Does 1-6” and “Jane Does 1-5,” claim they were unfairly targeted simply for their prior assignments to DEIA programs.

US Circuit Judge Nicole Berner, a Biden appointee, wrote the majority opinion.

Judge Berner said the CIA officials who were fired were deprived of due process.

Drone with fake bomb hits Russian Embassy in NATO country

Moscow has accused Sweden of consistently turning a blind eye to attacks that violate international law

Two unidentified drones attacked the Russian Embassy in Sweden overnight from Wednesday to Thursday, with one dropping a container of red paint and another falling near the building with a fake explosive device attached, diplomats have said.

In a statement on Thursday, the embassy said that the incident occurred at around 2 am local time, suggesting that the second drone crashed near the diplomatic compound and on the mission’s premises “not by accident.”

“The latter circumstance indicates that we are dealing not merely with a provocation, but with an overt attempt to intimidate employees of the Russian mission. To this we will say directly – it will not work”, the mission said.

The embassy went on to rebuke the Swedish authorities over what it described as a failure to stop a “systematic” campaign of attacks against the mission over the past two years. It noted that Sweden is obligated under the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations to protect foreign missions on its soil, but that police have only formally logged the incidents without making progress on “dozens” of unresolved cases.

“In light of this, it is the Swedish side that will bear the entire responsibility for any further attacks and their consequences,” the embassy warned. Officials in Stockholm have yet to respond.

The embassy has reported multiple incidents since May 2024, most involving paint-filled containers dropped by drones. In May 2025, after a pot of paint was dropped near the entrance, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova demanded that Stockholm “tame its ultras” while suggesting it might have “authorized” the attacks.

One of the most high-profile incidents took place in January 2025 when Swedish police arrested a Ukrainian national for ramming a car into the embassy’s gates. At the time, the embassy said the man was “well known” both to police and Russian diplomats because of his prior sabotage activities, while accusing local law enforcement of negligence.

Israel and the United States signed an agreement on Wednesday to allocate land at the Allenby Complex for the construction of a permanent US Embassy compound in Jerusalem.

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, and Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion attended the formal signing ceremony at the Foreign Ministry.

Washington currently operates its embassy at the former US Consulate building in Jerusalem, which was redesignated as the embassy after US President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital during his first term in 2017 and relocated the embassy from Tel Aviv in 2018.

“Today is another historic day for the US-Israel relationship as the US receives the property that will be the future home of the new US Embassy complex — deepening and expanding our presence in Jerusalem — the eternal capital of Israel,” Huckabee said in a statement shared by the Foreign Ministry.

Speaking at the ceremony, the US ambassador said Washington “recognizes Jerusalem as the eternal, indigenous and forever capital of the Jewish people.”

“We are going to plant our flag, our American flag, on the soil of Jerusalem for a permanent and a brand-new embassy compound that will serve as our mothership of diplomatic activities here in Israel,” Huckabee added. “I would say God made that decision 3,800 years ago, and we finally got around to acknowledging what had been determined long before the United States of America came along.”

In his own remarks, Sa’ar said the agreement marks “another milestone in the unbreakable alliance between Israel and the United States,” calling Israel Washington’s “most important strategic asset in the Middle East.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in an interview Tuesday night, claimed that he saved Israel from an Iranian nuclear bomb that they “already had obtained,” a claim that his election rivals dismissed as a falsehood told to scare the Israeli public.

The statement, which Netanyahu made during his appearance on the right-wing Channel 14, was the first time that the premier had ever claimed that Iran had already obtained a nuclear weapon. He has long boasted of advancing policies that prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

He did not elaborate on his claim in the interview and was not pressed to explain the statement.

No previous US or Israeli intelligence assessments have previously accused Iran of already building nuclear weapons.

Instead, Iran has been accused of enriching uranium to levels with no peaceful use and of seeking the technology that would allow it to break out and develop a bomb in a very short time.

Netanyahu may have gotten carried away in highlighting the threat from Iran and his steps against the regime or simply misspoke, but he did not issue a subsequent correction. A source familiar with the matter told Haaretz that Netanyahu’s claim was a “complete lie.”

Speaking on Wednesday, Yashar party chief Gadi Eisenkot and former prime minister Naftali Bennett both denounced the claim as outlandish.

At the Herzliya Conference, Eisenkot, a former IDF chief of staff and a member of the war cabinet, insisted, “Iran never obtained nuclear weapons. I’m well aware of all the intelligence.”

“Netanyahu is inventing a reality, making up threats, and that’s his way to scare the Israeli public,” he said.

Also, speaking at the conference, former prime minister Naftali Bennett called the statement “a lie,” accusing Netanyahu of trying to rewrite history.

Bennett vowed that under his leadership, following the next election, “the strategic goal of the State of Israel will be the overthrow of the Iranian regime — before Iran acquires a nuclear weapon.”

“To achieve this, bombs are not enough,” he said. “We will initiate a comprehensive campaign that will deepen the weaknesses of the Iranian economy. We will develop cyber systems that will disrupt the regime’s ability to oppress its own citizens.”

Migrant crisis as 4,300 people deported from Britain discovered back in UK

Thousands of deported migrants have managed to return to Britain within just a few years.

A jaw-dropping amount of migrants forcibly removed from Britain have been discovered back in the UK. Between 2021 and 2025, it has been revealed by the Home Office that 4,614 re-entry events recurred after deportation.

723 migrants were removed on two or more occasions, yet were found to have returned back to the country. However, it is not clear from this data how many migrants remained in the UK after their return. The figures show that after being removed, more than two migrants re-enter the country everyday.

It is also admitted that these figures could be much higher, due to the fact that it is impossible for every individual to be matched with previous ID checks.

According to The Sun, the most prominent group amongst this re-entry data were Albanians, who accounted for 1,525 of the individuals found to have returned to Britain.

They were followed by Romanians (767), Afghans (281), Lithuanians (233) and Iraqis (150).

In 2025 there were 26,388 voluntary returns and 8,590 enforced returns, the latter of which cost an average of £48,800 per return.

Nancy Pelosi’s Would-Be Successor Makes Another Move To Protect Pedophiles

A notorious California Democrat who is looking to fill Nancy Pelosi’s congressional seat is again supporting legislation that protects sexual predators who commit crimes against children.

If passed into law, California’s AB-2691 would prohibit individuals convicted of sexual assault or human trafficking from holding public office in California. But thanks to Sen. Scott Wiener, an amendment was added to carve out an exception for those who committed crimes against children.

The bill unanimously passed through the California Assembly and was referred to the Senate Elections and Constitutional Amendments Committee, where it was amended to provide protections for convicted pedophiles. The committee, which is chaired by Wiener, amended the bill to clarify that the term “sexual assault” does not include several violations of California’s penal code involving the sexual assault of minors.

At a June 30 hearing on the bill, Greg Burt, vice president of the California Family Council, stated that the amendments were so shocking that he and his colleagues couldn’t believe they were real.

“When we read the June 24th amendment to AB 2691, our honest reaction was that it could not be real. We assumed we’d misread it. We sat in our office and tried to imagine how anyone could stand up and defend it. So I’m here today, generally hoping someone will tell us why crimes against children are being carved out of this bill,” Burt stated.

“Barring people convicted of felony sexual assault and human trafficking from holding public office is good policy. We want to support the bill, but the amendments — we were told this committee chair demanded — exempt convictions for felony sodomy, oral copulation, and sexual penetration against children.”

Wiener, who is running for Nancy Pelosi’s congressional seat, has a history of pushing legislation that protects sex offenders. In 2019, Wiener introduced a bill, which is now California law, that shields young adults from mandatory registration onto the sex offender registry if the sexually victimized minor is at least 14 and within 10 years of their age. Wiener is known for his LGBTQ+ activism and has spearheaded multiple bills in the California Senate that push transgender policies into state law.

Senator Steven Choi, the Republican Vice Chair of the Senate Elections and Constitutional Amendments Committee, said at the hearing that he “could no longer in good conscience support” AB-2691 because the bill “excludes heinous crimes like sodomy of a minor or sexual penetration of a minor.”

“I supported this bill but I now believe that this bill must be opposed because of the absurd message that it sends — namely that it’s okay to have pedophiles and the child groomers in elected office. Until the highness of crimes involving minors are restored in the definition of a sexual assault under this bill, I will not be able to in good conscience support this bill,” stated Choi.

Wiener responded to Choi’s comments by defending the amended bill, claiming those who opposed the changes were doing so due to “pure politics and pure political cynicism.”

“I’ve been in politics a long time, and every time I think I’ve seen the height of cynicism in politics, there are some people who manage to set a new world record in political cynicism,” Wiener stated.

Wiener voted in support of AB-2691, which passed the committee with the pedophile protections in place in a 4-1 vote.

At the same hearing, Wiener openly opposed AB-2753, a bill that would prohibit anyone on the sex offender registry from holding public office.
