Jay here, Fred's caretaker and partner. I appreciate how nice this is considering how he must have been at the time you were interviewing, that was when he was deep into darkweb opiates and not getting regular care or company. Once he started going to a methadone clinic he became a lot more stable and fun to be around!
During the time I knew Fred he identified as being sexually attracted to men exclusively. I think him being comfortable with that went hand in hand with him being open about being a furry. Though from what I understand him and his wife separated on relatively good terms given the circumstances of him becoming a fugitive. It does make his earlier fixation on virginity pretty ironic, doubly so with me being an asexual. Life is weird!
His dog Hitomi is doing well, as are his mother and sibling. I'm still living with them, they've been a great support and I've been glad to be around to help them.
