2) it might be a while
A long silence would give the bad guys algo a lot of time to crack Q's trip code. Reasonably, as long as someone can crack Q's trip code, he's got to stay ahead of them with updates
Endgame
When Q is finally finished for good, he/they may just publish the PW for the last trip code, so that no one can find it in 5 weeks and ruffle feathers by pretending to be Q.
