The president said Russia will win and protect its citizens from Western-instigated Ukrainian terrorist strikes
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said Moscow will do “everything necessary” to protect Russia’s civilians and infrastructure, warning Kiev that its terrorist attacks will only result in a deeper security zone along the border – and cautioning Ukraine’s sponsors about possible “big decisions” in the future.
The commander-in-chief visited an auxiliary command post alongside top military commanders and Defense Ministry officials on Friday, where he was briefed on the advance of the Russian army in Donbass, including the liberation of Konstantinovka, which had been one of Kiev’s key strongholds.
Putin expressed confidence that Russia would win no matter what, after one of the commanders told him that “victory will be ours.”
He noted that the commanders of the Russian armed forces “must act rhythmically and rationally, doing everything necessary to preserve the lives of our soldiers and ensure the unconditional fulfillment of combat tasks.”
“The boastful statements of the leaders of the Kiev regime about successes are essentially in our favor,” Putin added, noting that “their actions and statements undoubtedly disorganize both themselves and their sponsors.”
However, to prop up their “fictitious successes on the battlefield” and “bolster their legends and lies,” the Kiev may take certain actions of a “diversionary-terrorist nature,” he warned.
Putin also accused Kiev and the “so-called European pseudo-peacekeepers” of confirming Moscow’s assumptions about their true intentions, arguing that their goal is “not peace, but the continuation of the war with Russia to the last Ukrainian.”
The president wondered whether Kiev’s European backers were now openly encouraging strikes on Russian civilians, after praising its “innovative” use of drone technologies in a joint Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) declaration in early June.
“Does this mean they also have in mind strikes on our civilian sites, civilian infrastructure, transport carrying civilians and children, and student dormitories?” Putin said.
Putin said Russia would respond accordingly and ordered the military to continue massed and group strikes on Ukraine’s military-industrial infrastructure and facilities supporting its operation.
The more strikes the opponent attempts to deliver against our civilian sites… the larger the safety zone we will have to create in the adjacent territory. Moreover, this territory, like the others we are discussing today, is also historically Russian land,” Putin warned.
The Russian president also issued a veiled warning to Kiev’s NATO backers and “instigators of war,” ordering the military to analyze their direct involvement in combat actions on the ground.
“This analysis is necessary for us to make possible big decisions in the future,” Putin stated.

Ukraine launches major drone attack on St Petersburg as Russia steps up strikes

Ukraine launched one of its largest drone attacks on Russia’s second-largest city, St Petersburg, overnight, targeting oil and port infrastructure in and around the city, even as Russia continued its offensive in Ukraine.
The attacks marked another escalation in the war, with both sides increasingly targeting strategic infrastructure far from the front lines.
While Ukraine has stepped up long-range drone strikes on Russian energy facilities this year, Russia has continued its missile and glide bomb attacks on Ukrainian cities.
According to Reuters, St Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov said the city faced a “large-scale” Ukrainian drone attack overnight.
One of the city’s oil terminals was struck, although authorities said there were no casualties and emergency services had dealt with the aftermath.
Port and oil infrastructure targeted
Leningrad region Governor Alexander Drozdenko said Ukrainian drones also struck the Baltic Sea port of Vysotsk, located around 170 kilometres northwest of St Petersburg. The port is an important transport hub handling oil, grain, coal and liquefied natural gas.
Drozdenko said Russian air defence systems shot down 72 drones over the Leningrad region during the overnight assault.
According to the report, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the operation, saying Ukraine’s defence forces had targeted oil infrastructure that generates revenue for Russia’s war effort.
He also claimed that Ukrainian forces struck Kronstadt, a strategically important Russian naval base located near St Petersburg and more than 850 kilometres from Ukraine’s border.
Russian authorities, however, did not confirm any strike on Kronstadt. Ukraine had previously targeted the naval base during an earlier drone attack in June.
Fresh casualties on both sides
Elsewhere in Russia, authorities reported additional drone attacks. The governors of Bryansk region and Russian-controlled Crimea said one person was killed in each region, while several others were injured.
Further south, the governor of Pskov region said more than 30 drones had been intercepted overnight. He reported minor damage, including at a factory in the town of Velikiye Luki, along with several injuries.
The latest Ukrainian strikes came just a day after Russia launched a deadly glide bomb attack on the northern Ukrainian city of Sumy. The strike killed at least four people, including a five-year-old boy and his mother, and injured 27 others.
Regional Governor Oleh Hryhorov said the bomb hit a residential area packed with civilians, damaging a high-rise apartment building, shops and nearby streets. Zelenskyy shared images showing emergency workers treating the injured and buildings reduced to rubble.
Meanwhile, Russia said it had captured the eastern Ukrainian city of Kostyantynivka, a key logistics hub on the route to the last major Ukrainian-held cities in the Donbas region.
The battle for the city has been ongoing since late 2025 and remains part of Russia’s broader offensive across the eastern front.

Turkey's Erdogan says Israel must not scupper US-Iran deal
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday that Middle East peace efforts could not succeed without regional backing and that Israel must not be allowed to "dynamite" the US-Iran peace deal.
Speaking alongside Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Istanbul, Erdogan said: "No solution that does not take strength from the will and contributions of regional countries can be lasting."
Turkey, a NATO member and Iran's neighbor, has repeatedly accused Israel of trying to undermine the US-Iran deal mediated by Pakistan, and has condemned Israeli operations in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria.

Hamas executes Gazan for 'collaborating' with Israeli intelligence - report
Hamas sources said that the man confessed to the charges immediately after his arrest following the assassination of Hamas commander Izz al-Din Haddad.
Hamas executed a Palestinian in the Gaza Strip on charges of collaborating with Israel, according to a report on Thursday by London-based Arabic newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat.
The report cited a statement on Wednesday by Gaza's Hamas-affiliated "Resistance Security," saying that the terrorist organization had executed a man identified as "M.M." for working with Israeli intelligence.
According to the statement, 47-year-old M.M.'s actions led to the death of several Palestinians, including former Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades commander Izz al-Din Haddad.
Hamas sources told Asharq Al-Awsat that M.M. was initially arrested following Haddad's assassination in May after he was seen communicating with Israeli intelligence.

Iran is seeking to mobilize millions of mourners for Khamenei’s week long funeral processions across Tehran, Qom, Najaf, Kerbala, and Mashhad.
Mourners thronged a vast prayer complex in Tehran on Saturday as the week-long funeral ceremonies of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei began with the national anthem, religious eulogies and readings from the Koran.

A WACKY couple have driven a flying saucer car 1,000 miles across the US to attend the planet’s biggest alien festival and celebrate World UFO Day.
The eager earthlings, named Steve and Marilyn, turned thousands of heads and were stopped for selfies as they made the mammoth road trip from St Louis, Missouri, to Roswell, New Mexico.
Millions of alien buffs celebrated all things extraterrestrial on July 2 to mark the infamous Roswell Incident, when a spaceship is said to have crashed in the New Mexico desert in 1947.
And now, almost 80 years on, punters still flock to the site to share their stories of UFO sightings, alien abductions and government cover-ups.
The Roswell UFO Festival takes place across the city, and includes a 5K/10K fun run, a drone show tonight, museum, car show, and parade.
Other highlights include the Roswell Galacticon, which features a Cosmic Cosplay contest, an alien pet costume contest and a team of Ghostbusters.
And Steve and Marilyn showcased their distinctive green Jetson UFO car at the event after clocking up almost 1000 miles.
Organisers said: “Steve and Marilyn are highway hazards of cosmic proportions. Driving a bright green, custom “Jetsons” UFO car to Roswell, they’re turning heads and blowing minds.”
Marilyn said: “People are going nuts over the car on the interstate”.
Fans even cheered as they docked in Roswell for the event.
The first UFO Festival took place in 2022 to mark the 75th anniversary of the famous flying saucer crash.
It was officially opened with the debut of Roswell’s UFO walk of fame, honouring the late Stanton Friedman and Jesse Marcel Senior.
Friedman, who died aged 84 in 2019, was the world’s top UFO hunter – despite never seeing one himself in 62 years of research.
One of his most famous sayings was: “Don’t be an apologist ufologist.”
The retired nuclear physicist was the first civilian investigator to probe the Roswell Incident and bring it to the attention of the world.
The crash is considered the holy grail for Ufologists after the US military is rumoured to have recovered two crashed flying discs and several alien bodies from a ranch in New Mexico.
Marcel was a US Air Force officer and key part of the military team that took custody of the debris found at the ranch site in Corona, New Mexico, about 75 miles from Roswell.
Years later, he stated he believed the materials he and other members of the team examined were extraterrestrial. Marcel died in 1986.

Trump UFO advisors accuse private corporations of operating alien craft-retrieval programs

Lawmakers and Trump UFO advisors are naming the private corporations who allegedly operate alien craft-retrieval programs — as they try to drag the government contractors into the administration’s disclosure push.
Avi Loeb, the leader of Trump’s UAP Science Advisory Council, shockingly revealed on Congressman Eric Burlison’s (R-MO) podcast “Fresh Freedom” that an executive of the $137 billion military contractor Lockheed Martin claimed the company operated a crashed-UFO retrieval program.
“I had a [former] high level executive from Lockheed Martin visit my home and I asked him, ‘Is there any truth to these claims?’ And he said ‘It’s not wrong,'” Loeb revealed on the podcast.
Loeb claims retrieved tech would be enough to prove humans are not the only intelligent beings on Earth — and believes private corporations are ready to participate in the Trump administration’s disclosure effort.
“If such materials exist, we would love to analyze them. With just a gram of material, we will be able to determine if it originated outside the solar system,” Loeb told The Post.
“Historically, the US government and its contractors were not willing to engage with leading scientists. President Trump’s directive to disclose UAP data that does not compromise National Security changes the narrative, leading to a mindset of cooperation,” said Loeb.
Former Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program member Hal Puthoff suggested on the same podcast that Lockheed was ready to transfer materials to AATIP between 2008 and 2012 — but that plan was killed by the CIA’s Directorate of Science and Technology.
Luis Elizondo, who had a leadership role in AATIP, similarly claimed in congressional testimony that a craft of unknown origin was being held in Lockheed labs and was set to be transferred to the Navy’s Pax River Facility in Maryland.
“Specifically, the PAX River hangar was designed to facilitate the transfer of future materials via air and river.
The hangar was purpose-built to meet the requirements of a Special Access Program Facility and was capable of accommodating materials at any classification level,” Elizondo said, adding the hangar had $10 million in funding.
Burlison, on his tour of government facilities rumored to be housing UFOs, visited Pax River earlier this year.
“I was able to see facilities that . . . explain some of the stories that I’ve heard,” Burlison cagily said on the Weaponized podcast in March.
Burlison further put Northrop Grumman, also rumored to have a UFO crash retrieval program, on notice — posting the viral meme of Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham with the caption “Me with Northrop Grumman.“
The Show Me State rep has also demanded specific documents from both MIT’s Lincoln Laboratory and the MITRE Corporation including a video of 1952 meeting where a US general supposedly briefed a room of scientists on a mass UFO sighting in Washington, DC, that same year.
Burlison said MIT’s Lincoln Laboratory and MITRE Corp. appear to be cooperating with his requests. “Its gonna take making it clear to our major companies that do business with the United States that it’s okay to come forward.
And I think we’re going to have to have a discussion on if they do have — if they’re reverse engineering stuff that they got because it was from non-human intelligence — we need to make sure we can have that conversation about intellectual property,” said Burlison.
Chris Mellon, the former deputy assistant secretary of defense intelligence during the Clinton and Bush administrations, claimed that the best evidence is still being held back by the government and by private corporations.
“We believe decisive UAP data remains hidden behind a wall of classification at the Air Force CIA, DOE and elsewhere,” Mellon said at the Disclosure Foundation event.
Neither Lockheed Martin nor Northrop Grumman responded to request for comment.

The comments came from Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God, a Brooklyn-born convert who now runs a monastery in Oklahoma and hosts a regular religious podcast.
In a recent episode, she took a listener's question about extraterrestrials and steered it somewhere far darker than science fiction, framing UFO lore not as harmless curiosity but as a front in what she called a 'great cosmic war.'
UFO Theories Pushed Into The Spiritual Realm
Mother Miriam did not hedge her words. Asked whether aliens were real or spiritual beings, she replied: 'I think sooner look at the demonic side than the extraterrestrial.'
In her view, reported UFO phenomena are less about distant galaxies and more about a centuries‑old struggle between good and evil.

In a YouTube video expanding on her remarks, Mother Miriam sketched a universe locked in supernatural conflict and suggested that UFO fascination is not neutral entertainment, but an intentional distraction.
She claimed these spiritual entities 'do all they can to deceive human beings and draw them into a belief system without God, without faith, and without the necessary graces for their salvation'.
If they can keep people 'wrapped up in theories of alien visitations and extraterrestrial visitors to Earth,' or absorbed by paranormal phenomena, she argued, they will have 'succeeded in their diabolical mission to deceive and to destroy.'
It is an unapologetically stark worldview. The sightings, the documentaries, the late‑night radio shows, even the more sober government reports on unidentified aerial phenomena are all taking place against a backdrop of invisible warfare.
'These extraterrestrial forces are involved in a great cosmic war. And human beings are a part of a conflict,' she said. 'Once that is understood, all that remains is for you to decide on which side you plan to do battle.'
None of this is official Catholic doctrine. Nothing in her description of UFOs as demonic has been confirmed by Church authorities, and there is no scientific evidence tying unexplained aerial sightings to spiritual beings of any kind, so her claims rest squarely in the realm of theology and personal conviction.
JD Vance, Tucker Carlson And A Growing UFO Suspicion
Mother Miriam's theory, however fringe it may sound to secular ears, does not stand alone. A similar suspicion has quietly migrated from religious margins into parts of the American right.
US vice president JD Vance, then still a senator, previously suggested on a podcast that UFOs might be 'demons' rather than visiting spacecraft.
Broadcaster Tucker Carlson has floated comparable ideas, musing that some unexplained aerial events look more like manifestations from another dimension than hardware from another star.
There is a certain pattern here: a deep scepticism of government disclosure narratives, a refusal to accept purely technological explanations and a readiness to slot UFO stories into a biblical frame of angels, devils and end‑times expectation.
Set against those religious and conspiratorial takes is the cooler perspective of mainstream culture. Even Hollywood's most alien‑curious voices tend to stay within philosophical lines.
Filmmaker Steven Spielberg, who has spent half a career imagining contact scenarios, has not called UFOs demonic. Instead, he has wondered aloud what genuine extraterrestrial life would do to human self‑understanding.
Ahead of the release of his film Disclosure Day, Spielberg asked: 'What does this do to the fundamental beliefs that many of us have? Is God our God only on this planet?
Or is God a god for every system where there's civilization and intelligent life, and even developing life?' Those questions, although profound, still assume that any beings out there would be part of a created universe, not fallen spirits masquerading as aliens.
Mother Miriam, for her part, leaves a narrow door open to a more conventional discovery. 'It's possible there are other planets,' she conceded. 'The church is not definitive on that.
If we find out one day that there is truly life on other planets, well, we'll know then. But so far, our Lord hasn't shown us that.'
Between the people watching the skies for spacecraft and those praying against demons in disguise, the same bright, inexplicable lights are being read in radically different ways, and nobody can yet prove whose interpretation is closer to the truth.

Mt Rushmore is made of granite, a piezoelectric rock, that generates electricity under pressure. It's known for high UFO reports. Black Elk had visions of higher beings there.

That's how long an alleged photograph of an alien remained visible on 4chan before it disappeared forever.
According to those who saw the image, it appeared on the paranormal board on 4-chan, during the early hours of the 22nd of February, 2017.
In less than two minutes, the thread vanished, the website reportedly went offline, and when the servers eventually returned, every trace of the original upload had disappeared.
