If Platner drops out prior to July 13th another Dem can fill his spot. After the 13th, the Dems are stuck with him. So we pretty much know that the Dems are more likely to release damaging info at this time. The Republicans would have waited until it's too late to replace him. Whatever it is must be pretty bad.
