NORAD fighter aircraft, always ready to respond, were not required this weekend to intercept any aircraft violating the FAA‑established VIP Temporary Flight Restriction in the vicinity of Washington, D.C.
Strong awareness and compliance from the civilian aviation community helped keep the airspace safe and secure. NORAD appreciates the professionalism of pilots who reviewed and followed the FAA‑published TFR.
