Remember when President Erdogan fled for his life from his own country? Remember when he was on a helicopter and no EU nation would allow him to land and take refuge? I remember, and I am sure he does. Why did this happen? Who was behind it? Think about how Turkey deployed troops into various theaters of operations and think about whose plans he was interfering with and you will find who was behind it all. There is a difference between holding ground for a duration verses annexation.
