Midtown tower is stable, but these buildings and streets are still closed

 

A handful of streets and buildings in Midtown remained closed Wednesday afternoon as emergency crews continued working on the tower at 235 E. 42nd St., though officials said the building is now stable and restrictions across much of the surrounding area have been lifted.
