“What harm is there in having an independent committee look at the overall reporting?” she said.

 

“It doesn’t in anyway detract from their independence, in fact it might give them an extra verification, an extra boost, that what they are doing is absolutely fine, it’s just that it may not be fine.

 

“I just don’t know how they think they can set the rules, which are their standards, they can review them, which is their internal complaints system, it’s an ombudsman … appointed by the board, reporting to the board.

 

“They can mark their own homework. They are, with respect, judge, council and jury.”

 

ABC’s Gavin Fang fronts royal commission to defend national broadcaster

The ABC’s editorial director Gavin Fang is fronting the Bondi Royal Commission to provide testimony on the national broadcaster’s content strategy.

 

He was appointed to his role in January 2024.

 

Mr Fang said the ABC has covered a “variety of attacks on Jewish synagogues, graffiti and other incidences of antisemitism”.

 

The ABC’s editorial director said in his statement the national broadcaster has continuously reported from the Middle East for decades.

 

Mr Fang told the commission that the ABC’s coverage “scaled up or down” depending on the need of reporting and reallocated resources to ensure adequate coverage.

Oh, and by the way, because of the upcoming Great Taking, good luck with holding on to anything of value that isn’t buried in a theft-proof, fireproof, water-proof vault deep in the ground. So as for the MONEY game is concerned—✔

 

II. POWER: As for the power trip that many get caught up in—WOW!!! Where do we start? It’s well known (read the following disquisition) that during the Kali Yuga only those who lust for power will exercise a highly corrupt form of corrosive power, and will be given power, but at a great cost to the very soul. Epstein anybody?!?! And because falsehood is so much stronger than truth during the Kali Yuga, all people in power can only maintain that power by telling bigger and bigger lies (e.g. President Donald J. Trump). In other words, only the most pathological liars only ever make it into the most powerful positions on Earth (all are bribed and blackmailed Epstein-style or totally bought by AIPAC). The last point about the power trip is that whenever anyone sits in that hot seat, it ain’t no fun at all. Really, how does a leader please anyone in such wild and crazy times when the great majority have been Covid-vaxxed into zombiehood. ✔

 

III. FAME: Just go the front page of the Internet and then think about the stark reality of the fame game. First of all, the mainstream media is a tool of The Powers That Be so it does not take a big leap of understanding to properly comprehend how this extremely perilous game is really played. And the more that any soul proves itself to be a real “mover and shaker”, the more they will be set up high on a pedestal so that they can eventually be knock off—HARD! (And always when they least expect it—OUCH!!!) So why would anyone spend a whole lifetime chasing after something so fleeting and perishable as fame and celebrity, prestige and renown, honor and glory. One day you’re way up there… … …and the next day you’re down… … …for the count. What a terrible waste of precious time, energy, money, resources and emotional wherewithal. ✔

 

IV. SEX: We saved the best for last. Actually, it has often been observed by the wisest among us that the compulsive/obsessive/impulsive/instinctive sex drive is often the impetus for the preceding three. So take heed, you studs and stallions, vamps and tramps. But just think about this human race-wide curse for a moment, especially the sex addicts and porn addicts, hopeless womanizers and ever-flirtatious sirens. First of all, there are the unwanted pregnancies for both parties concerned—NOT GOOD! The ensuing problems right there can often wreck a whole lifetime. And when one does end up with Mr. Right or Mrs. Perfect, what then? If either party is only in the relationship for sexual gratification, they will find out real quick that it ain’t what they thought it was going to be, especially as both husband and wife start aging quickly on this extremely polluted plant—YIKES! ✔

Iran to close Strait of Hormuz, strike twice as many targets in response to any US attack: Source

 

Iran has issued a firm warning that it will not back down from its management of the Strait of Hormuz and is prepared to fight to maintain control over the strategic waterway, an informed security source told Press TV on Wednesday.

 

The source revealed that developments over the past 48 hours have solidified Tehran's resolve, with a new military and strategic doctrine now in place.

 

According to the source, Iran's updated strategy dictates that in the event of any fresh attack on Iranian soil or interests, the Islamic Republic will respond with overwhelming force.

 

The source elaborated on Iran's new retaliatory framework, stating that following any strike against Iran, two immediate actions will be taken: first, the Strait of Hormuz will be completely closed to all maritime traffic; and second, Iran will strike enemy targets at a ratio of at least two to one, meaning that for every Iranian target hit, at least two enemy targets will be struck in return.

 

"The memorandum of understanding signed on this matter clearly states that Iran will reopen the Strait in accordance with its own arrangements. Therefore, Iran will not permit the establishment of any new route outside the framework of its own arrangements," the source said.
