Khamenei’s burial is tonight. It is the end of an era. Regardless of whether there is a war or not, Iran is entering very shaky territory.
The economy is in shambles, there are serious divisions within the leadership, hardliners do not want Iran to reach a deal with the U.S., and anti regime citizens still want revenge for the January massacres.
The fight over Hormuz will likely continue. Iran is not willing to give up control.
Whatever happens next is very messy.
