You either have discipline in the ranks or you don't. I'd bet not punishing the Kid Rock incident pilots had an influence on this incident especially in the age of competing for clicks on social media.
I doubt it will be forever for all of them. One or two might see court martial. The rest will be on a fucking short leash and possibly suffer permanent harm to their career advancement goals.

Doesn't have to be public at all. In organizations
as big as the military, it takes constant, uniform codes of conduct and disciple to keep things humming along smoothly. Without it, things go south quickly.
