Mom never hit me. Hers was pure emotional/psychological. Dad, on the other hand, he was a sadist. Never touched his daughter (at least not THAT way), but being adopted, I got the worst of it. Sister hated me for taking her spot as the "baby" but if I defended myself, I'd get the shit kicked out of me.
Dubs chkt. I broke the cycle. Wife did too. We don't hit our kids and our kids never stay overnight at their Paw Paw and Maw Maw's house on either side of the family, ever.
