Pedophiles find Ukraine a good place to roam

Ukraine has been known for many years as a leading source of child pornography.

Asked whether he had something with under-age actors, he said, with his eyes shifting: โ€œWell, it goes for Hr 250. And it depends on what you need.โ€

Asked what age the children were, he said: โ€œThere is stuff with 8- to 12-year-olds, and 12 to 14. The price is the same.โ€ He said the children were from Dnipropetrovsk, Moscow and St. Petersburg.

For his efforts suppressing Native Americans, the Susquehannock gave John the nickname of "Town Destroyer". Some eight decades later, during the French-Indian War, the Seneca would bestow the same title upon Washington's great-grandson, George, for both his own prowess in warfare against the tribes, and in remembrance of the destruction incurred by his ancestor.

Following raids by the Doegs on Virginian settlers, the colonial militia responded by tracking down and killing both Doegs and Susquehannocks. Colonial officers invited five Susquehannock chiefs to parley under a flag of truce, but when they denied their responsibility for the earlier Doeg raids, the colonial militia murdered them. Following this incident, the Susquehannock gave Col. John Washington an Algonquian name that translated to "town taker" or "devourer of villages." The elder Washington's reputation was remembered and when they met his great-grandson in 1753 they called George Washington by the same name, Conotocarious.

The journey had been particularly severe and wearing upon the animals, and their food supply was found insufficient. Arriving about 6 miles (10 km) north of Fort Reid on September 24, 1779, they were obliged to dispose of a large number of sick and disabled horses. The number of horses was so great that they were quite noticeable, and the native Iroquois collected the skulls and arranged them in a line along the trail. From that time forward, that spot was referred to as the "valley of the horses' heads" and is still known by the name.

In my 10 years as a criminal prosecutor, I have not seen a case like this

and if not for the hard work of the New York State Police that would still be true

Casella was joined by members of the New York State Police on Monday. It was a tip received by that agency in October of last year that launched the investigation by the Horseheads barracks. The investigation centered on 49-year-old Andrew Daugherty, a Level Two sex offender who lived in Starkey. He was alleged to have sexually exploited a minor over the span of seven years at various locations in Yates County and the Southern Tier. 17 other people were also indicted in connection with the exploitation of the same minor.

18 people charged with sexually abusing same child in Yates County

State police announced on Friday that a months-long investigation found the child was abused over the course of seven years and in multiple locations. That investigation led to the indictment of 18 people after the Yates County District Attorneyโ€™s Office presented the case to a grand jury on March 16.

The charges filed include rape, sex trafficking, and predatory sexual assault against a child. The people arrested are from across upstate New York and one is from Florida.

The investigation began on October 13 when Andrew Daugherty, 49 of Dundee, was accused of sexually abusing the child.
