Pete Hegseth:

Although these are great methods, why can't we make clothing for sailors that is actually inflatable, instead of taking off pants to use them as a floatation device. This subject subjects lost at sea sailors to hyperthermia. If we could design clothing such that they are dual layers with a releasable plug to use the natural breath to exhale into the clothing without the need to remove them, then I think you would get the best of both worlds. Also, something like a neck pull string inflatable should be the minimum for all if not full jacket. As far as sharks go, when going for a swim, maybe a semi submersible fake orca or some type of orca sound generation would keep sharks at bay. You must experiment with that, may also be used as part of an integration with a beacon. Sorry, cannot stop thinking about those that were recently lost at sea, and the thought of air force one being threatened overseas today made me think of those cold waters. We need 100% coverage and multiple layers of security. ThankQ.
