‘Burning children alive’: Russia releases files on WWII-era Ukrainian massacres of Poles

The UPA insurgents behind the ethnic cleansing campaign in Volhynia are hailed as heroes in modern-day Ukraine

Published 10 Jul, 2026 23:53 |

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has released newly declassified documents detailing the massacre of Poles by Ukrainian nationalist militias during World War II in what is now western Ukraine.

The release comes as Poland marks its National Day of Remembrance on Saturday honoring the victims of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), the armed wing of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN). The ethnic cleansing campaign in the Volhynia region between 1943 and 1944 claimed the lives of at least 100,000 civilians, according to Polish estimates.

Poland recognizes these tragic events as a genocide. Ukraine, however, celebrates the UPA as freedom fighters, a stance that has led to a high-profile diplomatic dispute between the neighboring countries.

The Soviet archivalfiles released by Russia describe the activities of the OUN unit led by Dmytro Kupyak, known by the nom de guerre Kley, who is believed to havebeen responsible for killing at least 200 Polish and Soviet nationals, as well as burning and looting eight villages.

On May 16, 1944, during a raid on the village of Kupche, Kley’s unit killed residents “solely because they were ethnic Poles,” the files say. On August 17 that year, the nationalists raided the village of Grabovo, where they locked nine women and children in a shed before burning them alive.

One of Kupyak’s former associates, Andrey Moroz, described him in a Soviet court as a “simple bandit” without any ideological convictions. After the war, Kupyak fled to Canada, where he ran a restaurant in Toronto until his death in 1995. In the 1960s,the Canadian government denied Soviet requests to extradite him.

The OUN collaborated with Nazi Germany during the early stages of the invasion of the Soviet Union and participated in anti-Jewish pogroms. The UPA was created in 1942 after the OUN split with the Germans. Many UPA members were defectors from Nazi-led units, including its eventual leader, Roman Shukhevich, who had previously served as deputy commander of the Nachtigall Battalion.

Last month, Polish President Karol Nawrocki stripped Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky of Poland’s highest honor, the Order of the White Eagle, after Zelensky named one of Ukraine’s commando units after “heroes of the UPA.”

Several Ukrainian officials responded by returning their own Polish decorations to Warsaw.

EXCLUSIVE: Los Angeles Gives Free Pass to Illegal Alien Food Vendors While Restaurants Must Comply Or Get Fined and Even Shut Down

Lowell Cauffiel11 Jul 2026

In Mayor Karen Bass’s Los Angeles, the rule of law is separate and not equal when it comes to street food —with illegal immigrants and rogue vendors getting a free pass on violations while citizen restaurateurs and licensed food stands are subjected to fines, high costs, burdensome regulations, and even closures.

In short, L.A. and the surrounding counties have two sets of rules.

Other progressively-run cities like New York and Minneapolis also are catering to “vulnerable” and undocumented immigrant street vendors. But California is leading the way in sanctuary food practices.

The Los Angeles County Health Department, citing immigration enforcement efforts by the Trump administration, last fall suspended all enforcement of thousands of noncompliant street food vendors who have proliferated with the massive influx of illegals under the Biden administration.

With the labor market flooded with cheap migrant labor and the increasingly high cost of living in the Golden State, migrants were already ignoring regulations and licensing requirements to openly prepare and sell their native countries’ meals on sidewalks and curbsides.

The health department suspended enforcement despite nearly 3,000 food poisoning complaints reported to the county in 2025, with health officials suspecting many more went unreported. If someone gets seriously ill from unlicensed street food, undocumented operators are typically uninsured and can easily disappear before being held accountable.

Meanwhile, compliant restaurants and food stands are subject to a myriad of sanitation rules, labor costs, insurance coverage, bureaucratic paperwork, regular inspections, and ratings posted in their windows as well as having to pay permit and operating fees.

“Imagine putting your life savings into opening a restaurant,” one Angelino named KingOf98580 wrote on social media. “You do everything legally, pay rent, employees, taxes, business licenses, and a street food vendor pops up across the street with no overhead, no license, cash only, and undercuts your business. L.A. city officials suck.”

One of the first to publicly point out the double standard was Anthony “Reed” Deugenio, community activist and owner of Big Dix Hot Dogs, a gourmet mobile cart in West Hollywood.

“I follow the rules — inspections, health standards, permitted areas,” Deugenio told the California Post in February. “Meanwhile, unlicensed vendors break the rules openly.”

“I had to register a business, pass a criminal background check, get a seller’s permit, tax ID — everything,” the vendor explained. “This cost a lot of money to set up. I pay inspection fees, taxes to the city. And now I’m losing half my profits to people who don’t follow the same set of rules.”

Deugenio told Breitbart News his revenue has dropped from $100,000 to $30,000 a year. He also said Latin gangs are extorting migrant street vendors in his business district and elsewhere, requiring tribute to do business.

“It’s sad to see some of them crying at the end of the night because they haven’t sold enough food,” he said. “They’re exploiting illegal aliens.”

Street vending is a tradition and a $504 million industry in Los Angeles where the temperate climate produces up to 300 sunny days a year. Every year, 50,000 “microbusinesses” set up shop on the sidewalks of the city, according to the city’s Bureau of Street Services.

In 2024, the city opened up street sales to seven previously prohibited tourist hot spots that included the Hollywood Bowl, Dodger Stadium, and the Walk of Fame. Duegenio says “hundreds” of scofflaw vendors populate those spots now.

Breitbart News talked to a dozen both legitimate and noncompliant street food vendors during its investigation of the practice. Almost all asked for anonymity. Illegal operators feared arrest by federal immigration authorities. Legitimate food vendors feared reprisals, even violence, from rouge vendors or gang-controlled operations.

In fact, for raising the illegal food issue, Big Dix owner Deugenio had to file a police report in June after a competitor threatened his life and twice flattened his tires.

Last fall, L.A. County made the following announcement: “At this time, Public Health’s enforcement activities for unpermitted vendors have been temporarily paused in the areas within its jurisdiction due to safety concerns for our staff arising out of federal immigration enforcement actions.”

decriminalizednoncompliant street vendors everywhere in the state.

Long article but good read

England Star Harry Kane’s ‘Surreal’ Golf Trip with President Trump Sparks Heated Debate

Dylan Gwinn11 Jul 2026

Star England striker Harry Kane recently revealed details of a “surreal” golf outing with none other than U.S. President Donald Trump, and his, in some cases, former fans are none too pleased.

“I played all right,” Kane told reporters. We played about 18 months ago… he invited me to play when I was down in Palm Beach,” Kane told The Telegraph. When the President invites you somewhere… it was a pretty surreal experience just to meet him andobviously play golf with him.

His golf is pretty good. I hope I can play golf as good as him when I am his age, that’s for sure. So, a unique experience, I was just grateful that he invited me down to play with him…”

After England’s stunning victory over Mexico,Trump took to Truth Social to praise his golf buddy, saying, “Harry Kane of England is a GREAT player!!!”

The evidently good relationship between the twohas earned Kane the ireof many online, including many of his own countrymen, who seem to feel he is no longer worthy of the same degree of their affection. Though many also came to Kane’s defense.

“I’ve lost a bit of respect for him. What the fuck,” one user wrote.

“Only those with TDS would see this as anything other than a great opportunity for Kane to spend a little time with the U.S. President. Probably a once in a lifetime opportunity,” countered another.

“Random guys from their parents’ basement lost respect for Kane. How will Kane live with himself now?” another user asked.

“If the President invites you to play golf, you go. That is what respect for the office demands,” wrote another.

“disappointed in Harry here ngl. First time I’ve lost some respect for him,” an England fan sadly wrote.

“Ewwww I can’t believe that Harry Kane agrees with his politics, he is talking as if he met his celebrity crush. I guess u really can judge a book by its cover cuz he looks like the kind of person that would support Trump. Played with Son all those years but praises someone that hates immigrants.”

England and Harry Kane take on Norway at 4 PM EST.

January 6 Capitol Riot: Judge Agrees to Dismiss Convictions of Four Proud Boys

Amy Furr11 Jul 2026

A federal judge appointed by President Donald Trump in 2017 has agreed to dismiss the convictions of four Proud Boys regarding the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.

In light of a U.S. Department of Justice request, U.S. District Judge Timothy J. Kelly granted the motion to toss the convictions of Ethan Nordean, Joseph Biggs, Zachary Rehl, and Dominic Pezzola, NBC News reported on Friday.

The news came after President Trump pardoned all of the January 6 protesters earlier this year, according to Breitbart News. Biggs was initially sentenced to 17 years in federal prison, while Pezzola and Nordean were sentenced to 10 and 18 years in prison respectively, and Rehl was sentenced to 15 years.

“U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly determined Biggs qualified for a terrorism sentencing enhancement because he tore down a fence at the Capitol that stood between police and rioters,” the outlet said.

Per the NBC article, the judge granted the motion to dismiss with prejudice, which meant the case cannot be reopened.

On the five-year anniversary of the capitol riot, House Democrats and former members of the now-defunct January 6 Committee held a hearing and brought in a “posse of scandal-ridden, far-left lunatics for their circus,” Breitbart News’s Olivia Rondeau reported.

The outlet reported on January 7 of this year:

President Trump urged his supporters to protest “peacefully and patriotically,” and disgraced former House Speaker Nancy “Insider Trading” Pelosi (D-CA) refused Trump’s request for additional security on that day. Nevertheless, the organized left is still trying to blame Trump for the unfortunate violence that broke out on January 6, 2021, in what was a mostly peaceful protest at the U.S. Capitol calling for election integrity.

For this reason, the Trump administration is using the White House website to set the record straight about what really happened five years ago, and how the Democrats exploited their own security failures to prosecute, persecute, and destroy even those who protested peacefully on that day.

Breitbart News reported in March 2023, “Revelations of the sheer number of FBI informants involved in the January 6, 2021 Capitol riot have shaken a trial of members of the Proud Boys in Washington, DC, as one FBI informant had infiltrated the defense team.”

Justice Department officials in April asked for the case against the Proud Boys to be dismissed in order to end “these years-long, Biden-era weaponized prosecutions,” the NBC article stated.

According to Judge Kelly, “President Trump’s views about the prosecution of those who attacked the U.S. Capitol on January 6 — whether those views are based on fact or fiction — are well known, as is his intention to extend clemency to them through the Executive Order. The Government’s request to dismiss this case is consistent with that general approach.”

REPORT: Iran Privately Admits Strait of Hormuz Attack Was a ‘Mistake,’ Pushes to Resume Negotiations

Mariane Angela10 Jul 2026

Iran reportedly told Trump advisersthe Strait of Hormuz attacks were the work of a rogue hardline group and not a deliberate government decision.

Iran has reportedly told the Trump administrationbehind closed doors that the attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz were not intended as official government actionand were instead carried out by a rogue hardline factionseeking to derail ongoing negotiations, according to senior U.S. officials cited by CBS News senior White House reporter Jennifer Jacobs.

The White House, however, is pushing Tehran to publicly admit it was responsible, arguing the incident breached the ceasefire agreement. Despite the incident, President Donald Trump hasinstructed Vice President JD Vance, Jared Kushner, Steve Witkoff, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio to press ahead with diplomatic talks, which are expected to take place in Oman.

U.S. officials also warned that Washington is prepared to use both military force and economic pressure if Iran launches further hostile actions.

The United States and Iran appear to be steering back toward the Memorandum of Understandingdespite recent military action, after U.S. forces struck Iranian military targets following Trump’s confirmation that the ceasefire had ended.

According to Axios reporter Barak Ravid, Qatari officials traveled to Tehran in coordination with Washington to hold talks with Iranian leaders aimed at easing tensions and reopening negotiations. A diplomat familiar with the discussions said themeetings were still underway but indicated both Washington and Tehran are looking to return to the framework outlined in the MOU.

“Qatari negotiators have travelled to Iran, in coordination with the US, to meet with Iranian officials in an effort to de-escalate the situation and create the conditions for negotiations to resume, according to a diplomat with knowledge of the visit,” said in a post on X. “The diplomat said meetings in Tehran between Qatari and Iranian officials are still ongoing, ‘but it’s clear both sides want to come back to the MOU.’”

DHS Investigators Weigh Criminal Referral of Corey Lewandowski: Report

Kathryn WilkensJul 10th, 2026

Investigators with the Department of Homeland Security haveuncovered evidence suggesting former Trump advisor Corey Lewandowski may have improperly influenced the awarding of government contracts during his time at the agency, according to a Friday reportfrom The Wall Street Journal.

The Journal reported thatHomeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullinand White House officials have already been briefed on the inquiry, with investigators now considering whether to refer the matter to the Justice Department for possible criminal review. According to the article, the investigation remains active, a referral is not expected in the immediate future, and Mullin’s department is cooperating.

Lewandowski, who served as President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign manager, worked as an unpaid senior advisor to then-Homeland Security Secretary KristiNoem before both were oustedfrom the department earlier this year. Although he served as a “special government employee,” the Journal reportedthat Lewandowski wielded unusually broad authority inside DHS, including involvement in personnel matters and contracting decisions.

According to sources cited by the outlet, investigators are examining numerous contracts approved during Noem’s tenureand are looking into the extent of Lewandowski’s role in those decisions. The report said some department officials were surprised by how directly involved he appeared to be in the contracting process, with people familiar with the approvals sayingLewandowski personally signed certain contracts despite not serving as a full-time federal official.

In a statement to the Journal, a representative for Lewandowski disputed the allegations, sayinghe denied issuing contractswhile at DHS and that he had not been contacted by investigators regarding the ongoing inquiry.

A White House spokeswoman referred the Journal’s request for comment to DHS, while a DHS spokeswoman declined to comment.

DHS Inspector General Joseph Cuffari leads the probe, with a spokesman for his office telling the Journal that the office follows “a longstanding policy of neither confirming or denying specific investigations,”but pointed to previously announced audits examining DHS contracting practices.

‘Patch and Pray’ IT Culture is a Dangerous Game Cybersecurity is one of the only sectors where failure is not only expected, it has actually been normalized. 1/2

Julio Rivera | July 11, 2026

Cybersecurity is one of the only sectors where failure is not only expected, it has actually been normalized.

Every month, software vendors dutifully release another round of security patches. IT departments scramble to test and deploy them. Businesses cross their fingers that nothing breaks in production. And somewhere, cybercriminals are already exploiting the vulnerabilitiesthat prompted the patches in the first place.

We've accepted this ritual as if it's an immutable law of technology. It isn't.It's the predictable consequenceof an industry that has spent decades placing the burden of cybersecurity on customers instead of software manufacturers.

Imagine buying a new car only to receive an email every few weeks warningthat your brakes, steering column, or airbags contain newly discovered defects. You're instructed to install fixes immediately because criminals have already figured out how to exploit them. If you fail to act quickly enough, your insurance company may refuse coverage, regulators may investigate, and your business could suffer catastrophic losses.

Consumers would never tolerate that model in the automotive industry. Yet it has become standard operating procedure in software.

The federal government has begun recognizing that this approach is fundamentally broken. Through its Secure by Design initiative, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency hasurged software developers to prioritize security during developmentrather than relying on customers to compensate for insecure products after deployment.

It's an important first step. But voluntary pledges won't solve a structural problem. The United States needsto move beyond encouraging secure software development and begin requiring it.

For too long, software companies have operated under an economic model that rewards speed, feature development, and rapid market entry while treatingcybersecurity as a downstream responsibility. If vulnerabilities emerge and they inevitably do the expectation is that customers will install patches, security teams will detect attacks, endpoint protection vendors will block malware, and incident responders will clean up whatever slips through.

That's not accountability. That's outsourcing risk. The costs are staggering. Ransomware attacks have disrupted hospitals, municipalities, manufacturers, and schools. Supply chain compromises have exposed thousands of downstream organizations through a single vulnerable vendor. Every new critical vulnerability forces businesses into emergency response mode, diverting resources away from innovation and toward crisis management.

Meanwhile, attackers continue to capitalize on known weaknesses.Recent campaigns deploying

CryptoClippers demonstratehow cybercriminals exploit compromised systems to silently redirect cryptocurrency transactions, stealing assets before victims even realize they've been targeted. Likewise, newly disclosed vulnerabilities such as CVE-2026-50656 serve as another reminder that attackers are constantly searching for flaws that should never have reached production in the first place.

These aren't isolated incidents. They're symptoms of an industry that still too often treatssecurity as an optional enhancementinstead of a foundational engineering requirement.

That mindset has to change.Congress should establish legal standards thathold software manufacturers accountablefor preventable security failures caused by negligent development practices. Companies that consistently ship products riddled with avoidable vulnerabilities shouldn't be able to externalize the financial consequences onto customers, insurers, and taxpayers.

2/2

This isn't about punishing innovation. It's about creating incentives that reward responsible engineering. Manufacturers already face liability when defective products harm consumers. Pharmaceutical companies must demonstrate safety before medications reach the market. Aviation manufacturers follow rigorous certification processes because failure carries unacceptable consequences.

Software increasingly powers our hospitals, power grids, financial institutions, transportation systems, and military infrastructure. Why should it be held to a lower standard?

The federal government possesses another powerful tool that remains underutilized: procurement. Washington purchases billions of dollars in software every year. Those contracts should go exclusively to vendors that can demonstrate meaningful compliancewith Secure by Design principles. Security shouldn't merely influence purchasing decisions; it should determine eligibility.

Government procurement has long shaped private industry. Federal safety requirements transformed automobile manufacturing. Defense contracts accelerated technological innovation. Environmental standards reshaped industrial production.

Cybersecurity should be no different. When the federal government establishes rigorous baseline expectations, the private sector follows.

Secure by Designalso complements another principle that organizations increasingly recognize as essential: Zero Trust Architecture. Rather than assuming users or devices can be trusted simply because they're inside a network,Zero Trust continuously verifies identities, limits privileges, and assumes compromise is always possible.

It's a far more resilient approach than perimeter-based security alone, but even Zero Trust cannot compensate for softwarethat is fundamentally insecure by design. Organizations shouldn't have to build elaborate defensive layers simply because vendors failed to write secure code.

At the same time, government agencies must continue preparing for the inevitable threatsposed by emerging technologies. CISA's artificial intelligence cyber incident exercise demonstrated the importance of coordinated response planning before AI-enabled attacks become commonplace. That kind of forward-looking preparation deserves praise – but preparedness alone cannot substitute for preventing vulnerabilities before they reach customers.

We cannot exercise our way out of insecure software. Nor can we patch our way to resilience.Cybersecurity has reached an inflection point.Artificial intelligence is accelerating software development, but it's also accelerating vulnerability discovery and exploitation. Nation-state actors have become more sophisticated. Criminal organizations now operate like multinational corporations complete with customer support, affiliate programs, and profit targets.

The defenders are improving. The attackers are improving faster.Continuing to rely on endless patch cycles while hoping organizations keep pace is no longer a strategy. It's wishful thinking.

The era of "patch and pray" should come to an end. Secure software should be the default expectation – not the premium option.

If software manufacturers know they will be held accountable for avoidable security failures, they'll invest more heavily in secure development, rigorous testing, and resilient engineering. If the federal government uses its purchasing power to reward companies that embrace Secure by Design principles, the marketplace will respond accordingly.

America doesn't have a cybersecurity problem because we lack talented defenders. We have one because we've spent too long accepting insecure software as an unavoidable cost of doing business.

It's time to shift the burdenwhere it belongs – back to the companies that build the digital foundations on which all of us depend.

‘So F*cking Stupid!’ James Carville Explodes on Far-Left Democrats Attacking Their Own Party

Zachary Leeman Jul 11th, 2026

Democratic strategist James Carville raged against far-left and “insurgent” Democrats, warning they could be setting the party up for a loss similar to 2016, when President Donald Trump was first elected.

In a Friday video for Politicon, Carville went off on the recent wave of far-left and Democratic socialist election victories, which includes some who have toppled longtime party incumbents.

In New York, Brad Lander defeated Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) and Democratic socialist Darializa Avila Chevalier toppled Rep. Adriano Espaillat (D-NY) and in Colorado, Democratic socialist Melat Kiros beat U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO).

Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO)

Carville argued far-left Democrats, specifically Michigan’s controversial candidate Abdul El-Sayed, are running against both parties.

He recalled the 2016 presidential election, calling it the “most catastrophic event of this century,” blaming it entirely on Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), whom he called “insurgent” liberal.

Sanders ran for the Democratic Party presidential nomination in 2016, but ended up dropping out and by July 2016 had endorsed Hillary Clinton.

The campaign between the two, Carville argued, had already become too bitter.Carville blamed Sanders for turning “working” voters in states like Pennsylvania off from Clinton, and Democrats, by staying in the race so long.

This new wave of Democrats, he added, are hitting the party with a similar Sanders problem. Carville dismissed liberals who believe there is no “difference” between “establishment” Democrats and “establishment Republicans.”

“These people are so f*cking stupid I don’t know what to say about it,” he said. “So now we have this idea that these insurgent Democrats — and what is their solution?”

“Is their solution to beat Republicans, to run against Republicans? No! Their solution is to beat Democrats like they’re part of the problem. You are part of the problem because you’re a f*cking idiot!”

Carville warned Democrats not to “fall for the allure of false prophets” and accused far-left candidates of simply wanting to sell themselves as “superior” to both parties, a strategy he argued can backfire.

“It’s not both parties’ faults! One party expanded health insurance, all right? Another party destroyed it. One party balanced the budget and created economic prosperity. The other party destroyed it. One party brought about a deal to with Iran’s nuclear program. Another party destroyed it,” he said.

Media Apoplectic at DOJ and FBI Investigating Four New York Times Reporters for Compromising President Trump Security During Turkey Visit 1/2

July 11, 2026 | Sundance |

Generally speaking, CTH is against the Dept of Justice filing warrants and subpoenas against journalists. However, in this case the actions are warranted. If this was the Obama or Biden DOJ taking action against journalists, yes, CTH would support the govt side –on this specific point.

The issue surrounds four journalists for The New York Timeswho filed a public report that President Trump’s new Airforce One airplane did not have anti-missile defense systems at the time it was used in the trip to the 2026 NATO Summit in Ankara, Turkey.

Beyond the issue of the reported leak to the media, the FBI requested the NYT not to publish their article as it would compromise the presidential security detail in a designated hostile environment. The NYT refused to withhold their reporting and did sospecifically with the intent on compromising the security of a United States President. There is no circumstance where that type of journalistic motive is okay; regardless of who is President.

From the Times perspective, their report reflected an opportunity to cast snark at President Trump’s decision to convert a gifted Airforce One from Qatar. Additionally, the New York Times knew their report would put the lives of those aboard the airplane at risk. The journalists went forward specificallyknowing the report could lead to a severe security compromise.

• NEW YORK TIMES – The Trump administration issued subpoenas on Friday to several journalists for The New York Times, after the news outlet reported this week on security concerns involving President Trump’s new Qatari-donated Air Force One.

The subpoenas — which seek to force the reporters to testify before a federal grand jury in Manhattan on Wednesday — were an extraordinary escalation in President Trump’s efforts to threaten and intimidate independent news organizations.

In some cases, the subpoenas were delivered by federal agents who showed up at reporters’ homes.

[…] “Our journalists report the facts and advance the American public’s right to know how their government is operating and their taxpayer dollars are being used,” Mr. McCraw wrote. “This brazen act should be seen as nothing more than an attempt to prevent the public from knowing what is happening in their country by intimidating journalists from doing their jobs.”

The subpoenas contain few specifics, asking only that the journalists testify “in regard to an alleged violation of federal criminal law.” They were issued by Jay Clayton, the U.S. attorney in Manhattan.Mr. Clayton, who leads one of the country’s most prominent law enforcement offices, was recently nominated by Mr. Trump to serve as director of national intelligence.

[…] The Times reported that the new Air Force One, a Qatari-donated Boeing 747-8, lacked some of the advanced security features of the older aircraft, including antimissile capabilities. Both articles cited sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive security issues.

Before the Wednesday article was published, a senior official at theFederal Bureau of Investigation contacted The Times to ask that the article be held, calling it an issue of national security, according to a person familiar with the conversation. The F.B.I. official spoke with a reporter and a senior editor in The Times’s Washington bureau;the official declined to explain the security issue when asked. (A spokesman for The Times, Charlie Stadtlander, confirmed the account.) (read more)

There is a point at which severe opposition to the President needs to be moderated in the interests of national security and common sense (decency). There was/is no value in publishing the article at the time it was made public, except to compromise the security of President Trump.

The escalating resistance to President Trump from American media is increasingly, intentionally crossing a line.

The Trump administration is right to take all appropriate measures against such reporting.

Guaranteed if this was Xi, Putin or other world leader the reporters would already disappeared!

U.S-Canada Strike Deal on New Gordie Howe International Bridge – Opening Date July 27th

July 11, 2026 | Sundance |

The issue was never really about Canada tolling;the real issue was about ‘cost overruns’ against the backdrop of how the tolling revenue was being usedfor repayment to the govt of Canada. It’s a rather sticky situation.

The Canadian government backstopped the financing of the bridge construction. The deal wasthat Canada would use tolling to pay the govt back and subsequent tolls would split 50/50 with U.S.. However, cost overruns made theCanadian payback a little less clearas the govt expected more revenue than originally proposed.Sketchy.

The deal currently beingrevealed as a compromise includes an immediate 50/50 split where Canada gets 50 per cent of the toll profits— after operational expenses — and the other half will go to a U.S-run regional development project for a 15-year time frame.

According to Global News, “The agreement also requires the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority to consult the U.S.on any toll changes greater than 10 per cent, the source said, or if it’s looking to lower tolls below those of comparable regional averages.”

Additionally, in Politico“they will guarantee and ensure that we’re not pouring Chinese cars over that bridge.”
