The 5 victims are the pilot, identified as Scott Shepherd, the pilot's wife Lara Shepherd, realtors Floria Hakimi, her son Navid Hakimi, a musician/DJ and 29-year-old employee Nasim Ghanadan. (pics attached)
The 4 passengers all worked for Pacific Union Realty, which specializes in high end transaction. Pilot Scott Shepherd was the owner of a San Francisco real estate consulting firm Category III Aviation Corp. His wife Lara was a top consultant at Pacific Union along with the other three victims of the crash.
Important background material to put these people in context of their work life:

Pacific Union had lately been emphasizing reassembled parcels—basically, the old LA and Bay Area estates that had, years ago, been divided up into multiple residential lots, “flipping” them by demolishing the smaller structures, and selling the larger consolidated parcel of land at super premium prices.
“Pulling out a color-coded spreadsheet that he said included the names of about 2,800 billionaires, he explained that by his calculation, roughly 50 to 100 of the people on that list would be in the market for such a property — Middle Eastern royalty or a Russian oligarch being a few of the possibilities he bandied about.” Anons, it’s not difficult to imagine how tightly companies and some individuals would protect data like that.
OK, keep that in mind, and now read Floria Hakimi’s bio from the Pacific Union web site:
https://floriahakimi.pacificunion.com/resume
“Floria went to school in Tehran, Iran. She graduated from the National University of Iran with highest honors in Political Science and received a full scholarship for her graduate studies. She continued her education in Psychology and got a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology from Pahlavi University which was affiliated with Harvard.
While going to school, Floria worked at the language departments and taught English to staff and was also the head of a political party and the University. Being very active in political scene, it was clear that she had to leave her country during the riots prior to the Revolution in 1978…
Floria is involved with many local National and Global communities through supporting organizations such as, the Child Foundation, American Cancer Society, School of Practical Philosophy, and the Persian Center.”
I’m wondering what Floria Hakimi might have been doing that would have made someone angry enough to want to kill her. She was everything the mullahs despise: beautiful, successful, westernized, and politically active.
