Jul 14, 2026 #ICE #Maine #News
An ICE officer fatally shot 26-year-old Joan Sebastian Guerrero in Biddeford, Maine. Guerrero was from Colombia, a neighbor said. He was authorized to work in the US and was issued a Social Security number, the Maine Immigrants’ Rights Coalition said. He wasn’t the target of the immigration operation, Sen. Angus King said. An ICE officer opened fire “fearing for public safety” as the victim “attempted to flee the scene” in a vehicle, the Department of Homeland Security said without detailing why the officer believed Guerrero posed a risk.

Iran executes 2 Daesh members convicted of armed rebellion
TEHRAN, Iran: Two members of the Daesh group were executed after they were convicted of armed rebellion against the Islamic Republic, Iranian state television reported Tuesday.
The report identified the men as Mohieddin Abdollahi and Hossein Palani. It said they belonged to a Daesh cell that formed after the group’s territorial defeat in Iraq and Syria and had planned attacks inside Iran.
According to the report, Iranian security forces identified the cell’s hideout in the Bamo mountain area near the Iraqi border before it could carry out its plans. Several militants were killed and others arrested during the operation, in which three members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard were also killed. Authorities said they also seized weapons, ammunition and other equipment.
The two men were convicted of armed rebellion against the Islamic Republic, and were hanged after the Supreme Court upheld their death sentences. The judiciary did not disclose where the executions were carried out.

Iran secretly executes two Kurdish prisoners in Kermanshah
The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that the two prisoners were executed in the early hours of Tuesday, July 14, 2026, secretly and without being granted the right to a final visit with their families.
On July 14, Mizan News Agency, the official outlet of the Iranian Judiciary, reported the execution of these two prisoners, citing their charge as “armed uprising against the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
The KHRN had previously warned of the risk of their execution in a report published on June 3, 2026, regarding the high-security ward of Kermanshah Central Prison, where the two were being held.
Mohyedin Ebrahimi and Hossein Palani Jaf were arrested in February 2018 following a clash between individuals affiliated with ISIS and the IRGC’s Najaf Ashraf Base in the Bemo mountains. During the incident, 16 people were arrested, and three IRGC members were killed.
Following their arrest, they were transferred to a security detention center in Tehran, where they were subjected to torture for months without access to legal counsel or family visits. At least 11 of these individuals were sentenced to death by the Tehran Revolutionary Court on charges including “Moharebeh (enmity against God) through Baghy (armed rebellion)” and “possession of military weapons.”
On June 10, 2025, Mizan News Agency reported the execution of nine of these prisoners without disclosing their identities or the location of their execution.
