> 8N tractor

one of my neighbors has a newly painted, operational 8N in his front yard. It's been in his family for decades. All of farms around here sold out to real estate developers years ago, so there's not much work for it.

>Anon really wants to understand your point.

this anon thinks you do understand.

but just in case, here's an analogy.

you buy a set of 4 tires from xyz tire pros with a 5 year/50000 mile warrantee. 2 years/2000 miles later 2 of them blow out. you go back to the store, only now it's american tire depot. the owner says xyz is long gone and he doesn't honor xyz's warrantee.

400 years ago, there were british colonies here. the management did some bad stuff (slavery, taxes, tyranny). some of the people got together and kicked out the old management (many of which went to Canada), started a new government and a new name and said we don't honor the old government's liabilities.

and 80 years later, the new government figured out they were still doing something bad (slavery) and stopped doing it. so they only did it for 80 years, it was the british owners that did it before then.

now excuse me while anon parachutes out of this discussion.
