The title “Nessun Dorma” means “None shall sleep.”It is the famous tenor aria from Puccini’s opera Turandot.
In the story, Prince Calaf has survived deadly riddles and is waiting through the night for dawn. He is under threat, but he is completely confident that he will prevail.
The aria ends with the famous word “Vincerò” — “I will win.”
So the plain symbolic meaning is:
No one sleeps. The night is not over. Dawn is coming. Victory is assured.
