Ode to Good Mornings
Good morning, steady light,
Breaking through the fading night.
The world awakens, calm and new,
Under skies of morning blue.
Yesterday has passed away;
New purpose rises with the day.
With grateful hearts, we stand once more,
Before another open door.
Good morning to the work ahead,
To daily needs and daily bread.
To lessons learned and chances given,
And quiet prayers directed toward Heaven.
The morning does not promise ease,
Or guarantee a life of peace.
It simply offers one more start—
A gift of time, a hopeful heart.
So let the sunrise find us strong,
Prepared to work and right each wrong.
Each morning brings this truth in sight:
God’s mercy rises with the light.
