From Apollo to Orbit: Dr. Andrew Aldrin charts next era of space development

Space Base Delta 1 and the National Security Space Institute hosted a speaking event July 11, featuring Dr. Andrew Aldrin, executive director of space programs at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the son of Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin.
The event, titled, “Navigating the Next Era of Space Development: Lessons of the Past.
Guidance for the Future.,” focused on the evolution of commercial activity in space, the rapid expansion of the broader aerospace sector, and strategies for managing future industry risks and opportunities.
In his speech, Aldrin called particular attention to the space ecosystem, allowing Guardians and Airmen to better understand their position within the evolving space domain and tying their role in space defense to Aldrin’s space pioneering heritage.
“The Apollo era continues to serve as an inspiration and is why many Guardians choose to serve,” said U.S. Space Force Col. Kenneth F. L. Klock, SBD 1 commander. “Dr. Aldrin’s expertise in space helps to tie together that legacy and the future of the space ecosystem.”
Jokingly calling himself “the second son of the second man on the moon,” Aldrin kicked off the hour on what he calls the waves of space commercialization. He explored the history of space development, the rise of commercial space enterprises, and his perspective on what is yet to come.
“People out there want to learn about space, and they want to learn about more than the engineering,” he said. “We do a great job of teaching engineers.
We do a less great job of teaching people what the whole ecosystem is and what that means, so that is what I am going to talk about today.”
According to Aldrin, the space ecosystem is constantly shifting and evolving, making adaptability a crucial trait for Guardians and Airmen.
“Managing uncertainty is the most important task of the U.S. Space Force,” said Aldrin.
He also shared several of his “Curmudgeonly Quotations” which encompasses his reflections on exploration, innovation, and humanity’s future in space.
“A great idea at the wrong time is bad business and may not be a very good idea,” Aldrin said. “A bad idea at the right time may be good business, but not for long.”
He closed by acknowledging that space technology is going to be the key to winning the competition in space and emphasizing that the range of uncertainty for U.S. space technology has never been higher.
“The event was great because we were given an external view on commercial space,” said Tech. Sgt. Tanner Manosa, NSSI deputy director for the chief of plans and programs and event project officer.
“Guardians are generally more focused on military space and how we use it, but we also have commercial space available. Dr. Aldrin gave us a look into how we can integrate commercial space into military usage, not only for the Space Force, but all the branches.”

SpaceX will launch a trailblazing satellite-servicing mission today (July 21), and you can watch the action live.
A Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled to lift off from Florida's Cape Canaveral Space Force Station today during a nearly four-hour window that opens at 5:15 p.m. EDT (2115 GMT). You can watch it live via SpaceX beginning about 15 minutes before launch.
SpaceX calls today's launch MRV-MEV because it will send up a Mission Robotic Vehicle and three Mission Extension Pods (MEPs). These spacecraft will be operated by SpaceLogistics, a subsidiary of Virginia-based aerospace giant Northrop Grumman.
MRV-MEV is headed to geostationary orbit (GEO), 22,236 miles (35,786 kilometers) above Earth.
At this altitude, orbital speed matches the velocity of our planet's rotation, allowing spacecraft to "hover" over the same patch of ground continuously. For this reason, GEO is a popular destination for spy, communications and weather satellites.
The new mission will work to extend the lives of such satellites. The MRV is equipped with two 10-foot-long (3 meters) robotic arms, each built by the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory.
It will use those arms to attach the MEPs — the first three ever to launch — to three separate satellites in GEO.
"Once installed, the MEP uses electric propulsion to provide orbit control and momentum unloading for a client satellite," Northrop Grumman wrote in an MEP fact sheet.
"The MEP is controlled by the customer via a self-contained C- or Ku-band telemetry and command system, and [is] capable of providing up to eight years of life extension for a typical 2,000 kg satellite in GEO."
The Australian satellite operator Optus booked one of the MEPs, and Intelsat hired out the other two, according to Tech Times.
The MRV and MEPs will reach GEO separately. When it's rendezvous time, the robotic-armed spacecraft will grab an MEP and ferry it over to its client satellite, Tech Times reported.
The MRV will then remain in GEO after it has installed the third MEP, waiting for other such "satellite jetpacks" to reach orbit.
In addition to installing MEPs, the MRV "can relocate, inspect, repair and upgrade spacecraft while in orbit," Northrop Grumman's website states.
"MRV includes a Northrop Grumman-developed Passive Refueling Module (PRM), the first refueling interface standard approved by the U.S. Space Force, which enables MRV to be refueled in orbit," it adds.
"With advanced robotics technology and Northrop Grumman's proven experience in satellite servicing, the mission delivers an unprecedented capability and new class of system that can continuously evolve to support novel or increasingly advanced missions for our nation, making assets in space more resilient."
That "proven experience in satellite servicing" consists of two previous Northrop Grumman projects.
Mission Extension Vehicle-1 (MEV-1) — the first-ever commercial satellite-servicing spacecraft — launched in October 2019 and successfully rendezvoused with its target in GEO (the communications satellite Intelsat 901) four months later.
MEV-2 launched in August 2020 and docked with Intelsat 10-02 the following April.
Neither MEV-1 nor MEV-2 used Mission Extension Pods, however. Each of those previous efforts employed a single servicing craft, which made its way to the target satellite, docked and performed life-extension duties on its own.
If all goes to plan today, the Falcon 9's upper stage will deploy the MRV 35.5 minutes after liftoff and the three MEPs at 10-minute intervals after that.
In a departure from most Falcon 9 missions, there will not be a first-stage landing today.
"Due to the additional performance needed to launch these payloads to geosynchronous transfer orbit, this will be the 32nd and final flight for the Falcon 9 first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched CRS-24, Eutelsat HOTBIRD 13F, OneWeb 1, SES-18 and SES-19, and 27 Starlink missions," SpaceX's MRV-MEP mission description reads.
SpaceX's rocket-reuse record is 36 flights, set earlier this month during a Falcon 9 launch of the company's Starlink internet satellites.

UK and Florida forge new space partnership to back joint innovation

The UK and Florida have joined forces to help space companies and researchers turn innovative ideas into commercial reality, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the UK Government and Space Florida at the Farnborough International Airshow.
UK-Florida space agreement establishes a £300,000 joint fund to help turn innovative ideas into commercial reality.
Agreement supports collaboration between UK and Florida organisations and strengthens links with one of the world’s leading space ecosystems.
A formal call for projects will open in Autumn 2026, with selections anticipated in 2027.
A £300,000 fund - established between the UK Space Agency’s International Bilateral Fund (IBF) and Space Florida’s International Aerospace Innovation Fund (IAIF) - is designed to move projects from concept toward demonstration, opening doors to investment and access to the US market.
The fund reflects the UK’s commitment to building international partnerships that help translate innovative research into commercial success.
By supporting collaboration between UK and Florida organisations, it will help innovators access new expertise, facilities and customers, while strengthening links with one of the world’s leading space ecosystems.
Areas of particular interest reflect where UK-Florida collaboration is most likely to generate breakthrough results, including space transportation, satellite systems, in-space research, advanced exploration technologies, and in-orbit servicing and manufacturing.
The partnership brings together two natural allies. Florida is home to the world’s busiest spaceport and a statewide ecosystem of aerospace talent and infrastructure.
The UK space sector employs more than 55,000 people, generates £18.6 billion for the economy, and brings extraordinary depth in space science, research and commercial capability.
Together, the agreement creates new commercial and research opportunities on both sides of the Atlantic.

Ukraine behind drone strikes on Kazakh oil tankers – Moscow

Foreign-flagged vessels with international crews carrying crude were targeted near the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk
Ukraine was behind a series of recent drone strikes on oil tankers carrying Kazakh crude near Russia’s Black Sea port of Novorossiysk, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said.
She described the incidents as the fifth attack on the civilian infrastructure of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC).
Two tankers identified as the Asia and the Nissos were struck during loading operations on Sunday, according to the CPC and media reports.
A fire broke out aboard the Asia but was extinguished, while both ships remained afloat. No casualties or oil spills were reported, and the CPC did not publicly identify who carried out the attack.
The consortium said the vessels were sailing under Liberian and Marshall Islands flags. Oil loading at the terminal was temporarily suspended following the strikes. The attacks came as Kiev intensified operations against shipping and energy facilities in the Black Sea region.
In a statement issued on Monday, Zakharova said several foreign-flagged tankers with international crews were deliberately targeted between July 17 and 20 while loading oil at the CPC marine terminal in Yuzhnaya Ozereyka.
The vessels included tankers chartered by Kazakhstan’s Tengizchevroil and KazMunayGas.
“There is no doubt that the Kiev Nazi regime is behind this attack,” Zakharova said. Ukrainian forces were seeking to inflict “irreparable damage” on the consortium, she alleged, whose shareholders include major energy companies from Russia, Kazakhstan, the US and Western Europe.
“Deliberate strikes against facilities and civilian vessels in the consortium’s maritime terminal waters constitute an attack on the interests of its member countries,” Zakharova added. Some of those states continue to provide large-scale military and financial assistance to Ukraine, she noted.
Zakharova accused Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky of disregarding the damage inflicted on Kiev’s own Western backers. “The Kiev junta, like the snake in the well-known fable, mercilessly bites the hand that feeds it,” she said.
Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry separately condemned the drone strikes on vessels transporting oil via CPC infrastructure. Astana said attacks on civilian shipping threaten maritime security and the uninterrupted movement of energy resources and infringe on Kazakhstan’s economic interests.
The 1,510 km CPC pipeline links oil fields in western Kazakhstan with the terminal near Novorossiysk and carries around 80% of Kazakhstan’s crude exports. Its shareholders include Transneft, KazMunayGas, Chevron, Lukoil, ExxonMobil, and the Rosneft-Shell Caspian Ventures joint venture.

A fire broke out at industrial facilities in Russia’s western city of Lipetsk overnight on Tuesday, following reports of explosions and a possible drone attack, according to local monitoring channels.
Residents reported hearing blasts and seeing a large fire in the city, while a missile alert was active from the evening hours, independent channels Astra and Exilenova reported.
Lipetsk Regional Governor Igor Artamonov confirmed that a fire had broken out at industrial facilities but said authorities were investigating the cause. He did not confirm reports of an attack.
Videos and photos shared online by residents showed a fire near the area of the Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) plant and Lipetsk CHPP-2, a major thermal power facility, according to Astra.
NLMK is Russia’s largest steel producer, accounting for around 20% of the country’s steel output. The plant, located about 400 kilometers (250 miles) from the Ukrainian border, supplies steel products to companies involved in Russia’s missile production, Astra reported.
Lipetsk CHPP-2 provides heat and electricity to the city and nearby industrial sites.
Russia’s defense ministry claimed that its air defenses intercepted 209 Ukrainian drones overnight over Russian regions, occupied Crimea, the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
Moscow did not specify how many drones were intercepted over Lipetsk. No casualties or additional damage were reported by Russian authorities.
Ukraine has not commented on the reported incident. NLMK has previously been targeted in alleged Ukrainian drone attacks.

IDF kills several armed terrorists transporting weapons in Gaza Strip
The IDF killed several Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists in a targeted strike in southern Gaza on Monday.
Per the military's statement, Israeli troops identified several armed PIJ operatives loading a vehicle with weapons that were intended to be used against IDF soldiers operating in the area.
The Israel Air Force struck the vehicle, killing those who were in it and in its immediate vicinity.

Trump welcomes Lebanese President Aoun to the White House
US President Donald Trump and Lebanon's President Joseph Aoun met at the White House on Tuesday. This is the first visit by a Lebanese president to the White House in over 17 years.
The visit by Aoun comes as Lebanon is supposed to be sending troops to pilot zones in southern Lebanon near where IDF troops are deployed.
Aoun’s office said he would meet with Trump and hold “meetings and consultations with a number of American officials to discuss the situation in Lebanon and ways to consolidate the ceasefire [and] Israel’s withdrawal from the Lebanese areas it occupies,” UAE-based news site Al-Ain News reported earlier in the month.

IDF confirms building massive sand barrier dividing Gaza after satellite imagery emerges
According to the satellite imagery, more than 23 kilometers were built in recent months through areas where Palestinian communities once stood.
Without any public announcement, the IDF has been building a large sand-wall barrier separating the 50-70% of the Gaza Strip it controls from the areas controlled by Hamas, the military confirmed on Tuesday.
Earth imaging company Planet Labs PBC observed the topographical changes using satellite imagery and provided them to the Associated Press, which was the first outlet to break the news.
According to the satellite imagery, more than 23 kilometers were built in recent months, running throughout the Strip, often through areas where Palestinian communities once stood but have long since been demolished by the IDF.

PA's massive military build-up in West Bank poses October 7-style threat to Israelis, report warns
Making the situation of particular concern, the report highlighted, is the fact that the Palestinian force is now armed with what is understood to be tens of thousands of weapons.
The Palestinian Authority’s buildup of a military force, in violation of the Oslo Accords, presents an unprecedented threat to millions of people living in central Israel, a newly published report penned by Lt.-Col. (res.) Maurice Hirsch, published in the Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs, warned.
Outlining the scale of risk, Hirsch noted that the West Bank now hosts an armed force ten times larger than the number of terrorists who invaded Israel from the Gaza Strip on October 7, a force he wrote that was “simply awaiting orders to attack.”
Qalqilya lies just 14 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea. Within that narrow corridor are the cities of Kfar Saba, Ra’anana, Hod Hasharon, Herzliya, and countless other communities. As noted by Hirsch, terrorists penetrated 22 kilometers into Israeli territory, reaching Ofakim, on October 7, making a 14-kilometer incursion a possibility for which Israel is currently unprepared.

"President Trump recently directed the Department of War and the intelligence community to allow former government employees or contractors, that have relevant information about the disclosure of UAP, to come forward to meet with designated government representatives — AARO or the President’s UAP taskforce, ‘PURSUE’ — and have their prior NDAs abrogated," a senior administration official said, with AARO referring to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, the Pentagon office established to investigate UFOs and other unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs).
Another senior administration official emphasized the move was not a "declassification directive" and only allowed employees to come forward through government channels.
Officials say years of congressional inquiries, whistleblower allegations and newly declassified records have raised questions about whether additional witnesses have remained silent because they believed prior nondisclosure agreements prevented them from cooperating with government investigations.
"People who believe that they have information have expressed reluctance in coming forward," the official said. "We are eliminating that source of reluctance."
Like other government employees and defense contractors with access to classified information or sensitive national security programs, many witnesses would have signed nondisclosure agreements as a condition of receiving security clearances or access to restricted information. Those agreements generally prohibit unauthorized disclosure of classified or otherwise protected information and typically remain in effect even after an individual leaves government service.
Former officials and contractors who disclose protected information without authorization risk losing security clearances, facing civil penalties or, in some circumstances, criminal prosecution if classified information is improperly disclosed.
Under the new process, former government employees and contractors who believe they possess relevant UAP information would first meet with designated officials at the Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) or the president's UAP task force, PURSUE, who hold the appropriate security clearances. During those authorized discussions, any applicable nondisclosure agreements could be waived, allowing witnesses to share information without fear of violating prior agreements.

Information provided through the process would be reviewed through the administration's existing declassification procedures. "Any information that is received that sheds light on the UAP mystery will ultimately be made public," the official said.
The official said the administration does not know whether potential witnesses actually possess significant new information, but wants to remove any perceived legal barriers so investigators can determine whether previously undisclosed information exists.
"You don't know what you don't know," the official said.
The official said the focus is on incidents that remain unexplained, rather than known foreign technology, classified U.S. programs or natural phenomena.
The latest directive builds on the Trump administration's broader effort to declassify decades of government records related to unidentified anomalous phenomena.
Previous releases have included FBI and Pentagon records describing unexplained sightings reported by military personnel, law enforcement and astronauts, including accounts of glowing "mother orbs" that witnesses said released smaller objects near a sensitive U.S. national security site, mysterious orange spheres observed during military operations, and Apollo-era transcripts in which astronauts described unexplained lights and "jagged, angular fragments" drifting outside their spacecraft.
The latest tranche of UAP records included expanded details and imagery from a 2015 incident involving an unidentified object over the Pantex nuclear weapons facility in Texas, along with newly declassified infrared footage showing a mysterious six-pointed star-shaped object tracked by a U.S. military sensor over the Yellow Sea on Jan. 1, 2025.
The official said the next tranche of files will be made available "very soon."
The directive follows years of complaints from some lawmakers and whistleblowers that former officials with firsthand knowledge were reluctant to come forward because of secrecy obligations.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, then the vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said in 2023 that multiple individuals with firsthand knowledge had approached the committee but were hesitant to speak publicly because of potential repercussions.
"Some of these people still work in the government and frankly, a lot of them are very fearful — fearful of their jobs, fearful of their clearances, fearful of their career, and some, frankly, are fearful of harm coming to them," he said on News Nation in June 2023.
"Grant immunity to anyone who has already come forward, and everyone who will come forward. Open the door and let them speak," Rep. Eric Burlison, R-Mo., demanded during a June 9 press conference on Capitol Hill.
Public interest in UAPs accelerated in 2017 after The New York Times revealed the Pentagon had quietly operated a secret program to investigate unexplained aerial encounters and published Navy cockpit videos showing objects exhibiting unusual flight characteristics.
Since then, Congress has held multiple bipartisan hearings on the issue, lawmakers have pressed intelligence agencies for greater transparency, and former intelligence officer David Grusch's allegations that the government had concealed information about UAP programs renewed calls for additional disclosure, despite the government's denial of his central claims.
During the same event, former Air Force intelligence officer Grusch renewed his allegations that secret UAP programs had operated outside normal congressional oversight, calling it "a real fraud, waste and abuse issue" and claiming his investigation uncovered "slush funds to the tune of billions of dollars per annum for these activities."
The Pentagon has disputed Grusch's central claims, and AARO has said its investigations found no verified evidence of extraterrestrial technology or credible evidence that the government has secretly recovered or reverse-engineered craft of non-human origin.

On the Brink? UFO Disclosure Speech Believed to Have Been Prepared for Trump Amid Expanding White House Push

On the brink - or facing another false dawn.
It’s difficult to tell.
Liberation Times understands from multiple sources that a presidential speech confirming that some UFOs are of non-human origin has been prepared.
Whether President Donald Trump ever delivers it is anyone’s guess. Presidential teams have long prepared contingency speeches and statements for events that may never occur.
The existence of a draft therefore does not, by itself, mean that a final decision has been taken to deliver it.
Trump is understood to have little personal interest in the subject.
But this is a president deeply preoccupied with greatness and his place in history - whether through having a road named in his honour or seeking to bring Greenland under US control.
Faced with an opportunity to define his presidency and secure an unparalleled legacy, ego may ultimately outweigh indifference.
Liberation Times understands that several UAP disclosure advocates, some operating independently of one another, are lobbying the Trump White House to go beyond the measures announced so far.
So far, the White House’s disclosure plan appears to mirror one developed by retired Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet, who served as acting administrator of NOAA during Trump’s first presidency.
In early 2025, he met with officials from the Trump Administration to discuss a comprehensive, whole-of-government approach to UFOs, otherwise known as Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP)
Gallaudet had previously gone on record to outline his plan for UAP disclosure.
A White House-directed policy issued through an executive order or presidential memorandum
The establishment of an interagency group, chaired by a senior White House official or Cabinet member, to coordinate a strategy and lead efforts
Legislation passed in Congress aligned with White House policy, ensuring coordination between the executive branch and interagency efforts.
The first two elements of Gallaudet’s plan now appear to have materialised, at least in substance.
Trump directed agencies to begin identifying and releasing UAP-related records, while an interagency UAP Governance Board - supported by a new Science Advisory Council - has been created to coordinate the administration’s efforts.
The third element may now be taking shape in Congress.
The House is expected to consider a proposal from Congressman Eric Burlison that would create an independent review board with the authority to search across government for UAP records and determine what should be released publicly.
It would also empower the federal government to take possession - while providing compensation - of any technology of unknown origin or biological evidence of non-human intelligence held by private companies or individuals.
A broadly similar proposal has been introduced in the Senate, although neither measure has yet passed and their final form remains uncertain.
But events could yet overtake the congressional process if Trump chooses to act before any legislation is enacted.

But events may already be overtaking the congressional process.
According to Fox News, Trump has directed agencies to waive previous nondisclosure agreements for former government employees and contractors who share UAP information through authorised government channels.
Lue Elizondo, the former head of the Pentagon’s Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, has argued that those involved in alleged legacy programs may require amnesty, immunity and even witness protection.
It is not yet clear whether Trump’s directive provides broader protections such as amnesty or immunity.
Although it does not authorise public disclosure, it creates a formal route for insiders to approach investigators - meaning one of the conditions considered essential for accelerating disclosure may now be falling into place.
By allowing officials to test claims from purported firsthand witnesses, the process could also give Trump greater confidence in the evidence before deciding whether to deliver the disclosure speech understood to have been prepared.
Within the White House, Trump’s powerful deputy chief of staff, Stephen Miller, has emerged as a central figure in the effort. Congressman Burlison has described the administration, working through Miller, as “aggressively pursuing” UAP disclosure.
Given Trump’s preoccupation with legacy - and his inherent unpredictability - he may yet choose to deliver the speech prepared for him.
If he does, the announcement itself would be only the beginning. The White House would then face the far more delicate task of helping the public understand and absorb its implications.
One figure who could assist in that effort is television psychologist Phil McGraw, better known as Dr Phil. As a familiar broadcaster and prominent Trump ally, McGraw could provide the administration with a recognisable mainstream voice through which to explore the psychological and societal consequences of disclosure.
His team was recently given an early look at the fourth tranche in the administration’s continuing release of previously secret government UAP records.
According to the Need to Know podcast, McGraw told Christopher Mellon and Bryce Zabel that the material arrived with a handwritten message from Trump: “Have fun with this.” McGraw may not be the only outside figure being considered as part of any effort to prepare the public.
NewsNation journalist Ross Coulthart has reported, citing people inside the administration, that the White House is consulting spiritual leaders and seeking advice on how the public might absorb confirmation that humanity is not alone.
No participating religious leaders have been publicly identified, and the White House has not confirmed that such discussions are taking place.
There is also speculation that former Pentagon UAP investigator Lue Elizondo could be appointed to a senior White House role overseeing the issue.
Elizondo previously proposed the creation of an emerging-technologies ‘czar’ within the National Security Council, who would advise the President, coordinate policy across government and engage with Congress, the media and the American public.
If appointed, Elizondo could therefore play a central role in guiding both the government’s response and the wider disclosure process.
Whether it culminates in the speech Liberation Times understands has been prepared remains anyone’s guess.
But the machinery of disclosure is now taking shape across the White House, federal agencies and Congress.
It may yet unravel. Or it may be approaching the point at which demands for a definitive answer become impossible to contain.

UFO researcher says 'The United States has teleportation technology' as he issues public plea

One notable yet controversial UFO researcher has made the bold claim that teleportation technology is being hidden in the United States, issuing the declaration as a plea just in case 'something does happen to' him.
The threat has likely emerged from the recent concerning string of deaths or disappearances linked to scientists working in space- or nuclear-related fields, with some suggesting that these experts were 'silenced' by known forces due to the information and research that they had shared.
Unlike those who have disappeared, Ashton Forbes isn't a scientist and is predominantly a UFO-focused conspiracy theorist who has gained both notoriety and criticism on social media for his views – specifically relating to the MH370 plane incident – but his interest in the world of science has seemingly drawn him to this unexpected but potentially consequential conclusion.

He added in a follow-up reply that "the answer is Hal Puthoff's Spacetime metric engineering which he was nominated for a Nobel prize," yet the claim itself is merely conjecture and Forbes' own opinion, with no backing or evidence beyond the link to Puthoff's theory.
Originally outlined in the Journal of the British Interplanetary Society, Puthoff's theory of spacetime metric engineering offered a framework in which advanced civilizations were able to manipulate or adapt the quantum vacuum, shifting space geometry and transforming the speed at which we move through an area.
It was specifically related to the way in which a vehicle would move through outer space, operating somewhat similarly to how warp speed would afford vast distances to be covered in a short amount of time by constricting or compressing the space ahead of you.
In essence this would allow for the development of teleportation – something that would fundamentally change everyone's lives across the world – yet Forbes believes that this technology has not only been discovered but is being hidden from the public, presumably by the government.
Responding to a question asking whether you could use it to go immediately to a coordinated and precise location, the UFO conspiracy enthusiast asserted that "it works like a rail gun through an invisible dimension," adding in a separate reply that it would take advantage of a '5th dimension', including "three spacial dimensions, one time, and the final dimension, spacetime itself" to harness "zero point energy."

'Dinosaur Descendants': Harvard Study Claims Aliens May Be Hiding on Earth

A speculative paper revives the cryptoterrestrial hypothesis, proposing that some UFO sightings could be linked to hidden earthly civilisations.
Harvard researchers have revived a wild idea about UFOs, suggesting in a 2024 paper that unidentified anomalous phenomena could point to a hidden civilisation on Earth, not visitors from deep space.
The study, by Tim Lomas, Brendan Case and Montana Technological University professor Michael Masters, was published as a speculative argument for taking the so-called cryptoterrestrial hypothesis seriously enough to study it further.
Harvard UFO Study and the Cryptoterrestrial Hypothesis
The news came after years of renewed public attention on UAP, the modern label for what most people still call UFOs.
In their paper, 'The cryptoterrestrial hypothesis, A case for scientific openness to a concealed earthly explanation for Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena,' the authors argue that some sightings may be better explained by intelligent beings already here, hidden underground, underwater, or in other hard to reach places.
That is the startling part, and the one likely to do the rounds online until the next mad clip of something hovering over a runway takes over the timeline. The paper does not claim proof of aliens among us.
It says the topic deserves open-minded study because some UAP cases appear to resist tidy explanations, and because the default assumption, that everything unexplained must be extraterrestrial, may be too narrow.
Harvard UFO Study Explores Hidden Civilisations
The researchers set out several possibilities under the cryptoterrestrial umbrella. One is that a highly advanced ancient human civilisation survived some catastrophe and continued secretly.
Another is that a separate intelligent species evolved on Earth long before modern humans. A third, more eyebrow raising, possibility is that such beings could be descendants of intelligent dinosaurs or other non-human life forms.
The paper also entertains the idea that these beings might not be Earthbound at all in the ordinary sense, but could have arrived from elsewhere in the universe or even another time period.
In other words, the authors are not simply asking whether aliens exist, but whether the phenomenon labelled alien may be masking something stranger, and perhaps closer to home.
The authors go further still, suggesting that if a hidden civilisation existed, it might explain why sightings are often reported near volcanoes, caves, lakes or other unusual terrain.
They theorise that such places could serve as entry and exit points, though they acknowledge that this remains conjecture rather than evidence.
The paper is explicit that these ideas are highly speculative, which is a polite academic way of saying, yes, this is all a bit out there.
What the Harvard UFO Study Does Not Prove
The researchers are careful not to present their hypothesis as fact. It was reported that Masters described the paper as a speculative thought piece and said the authors were not claiming their ideas were 'absolutely 100%' the answer.
The Hill likewise reported that the team urged 'serious consideration' in a spirit of intellectual curiosity and openness, not certainty.
That distinction matters. A paper like this can open a door, but it does not walk readers through it.
It certainly does not establish that aliens are hiding in plain sight, disguised as humans, reptiles or anything else.
Those notions appear in the wider discussion of the hypothesis, but the authors themselves present them as possibilities to test, not discoveries to celebrate.
And that is really where the story sits now.
Not in proof, not in panic, not in some grand secret waiting to be exposed, but in the awkward middle ground where science occasionally finds itself, staring at a mystery and admitting, with some humility, that the neat answer may not be the right one.
The Harvard paper has not solved UAP, and it does not pretend to have done so. It does, however, ask whether the search for explanations has been far too small for the size of the question.

Does UFO disclosure have a “coming soon" problem?

“Something big is coming,” they say. But we’ve heard it all before.
Another countdown to UFO disclosure has begun. This time, however, the biggest debate isn't over what might be revealed, but whether the community has heard the same promise one too many times.
With UFO disclosure, there’s a whole load of concealment going on, as the tranches of evidence released so far have been pretty low-impact.
In his latest interview, Age of Disclosure director Dan Farah claims a new phase of declaration is already underway.
Speaking on The Karl Stefanovic Show, Farah was keen to point out that "there's another tranche of evidence being planned for release in the near future," and that the “rolling” disclosure process will continue until “the full truth is out.”
That’s why the UFO community is expecting a fifth installment, perhaps Episode V: The Observers Strike Back.
And the hype has strong propulsion, according to Farah.
"My sources tell me that they think by the end of the year… next-level extraordinary stuff is going to be released."
There seems to be a few stock phrases among whistleblowers, politicians, and other talking heads – “my sources tell me,” and “next-level” that feels like it’s either a case of UFO whistleblowers in lockstep, a la Capitol Hill, or flying solo with talk of CIA annihilation, or moon monoliths.
But when the timeline gets brought back in, in a “coming soon” narrative, it feels a bit like we’ve been here recently.
“We've heard this before”
Farah's comments quickly sparked debate across the UFO community, with many saying they've heard similar promises for years.
“It’s always just around the corner,” said one Redditor.
“Same as it ever was,” echoed another.
Rising podcaster Patrick Scott Armstrong even spotlighted Farah's interview on his Vetted: UFO Sleuth, arguing the cycle has become repetitive.
"Bring it out or shut up,” were his thoughts on the matter.
Armstrong doesn’t believe the public is waiting for some kind of surprise drop.
“A lot of people… are seeking the truth they already believe in," he explained.
Armstrong questions whether repeat countdowns without hard evidence, in fact, erode trust, similar to the “acculturation process” Steven Greer recently described as a “slow roll” of government releases, especially if presidents are trained on the job (as he seemed to imply).
Overall, it feels as if belief in disclosure isn't necessarily declining, but patience with repeated promises may be.

Pentagon investigating mysterious UAP event reported by the Navy near Virginia’s coast

The department’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office released its latest, annual UAP caseload analysis this week.
xperts in the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office are investigating a report from the U.S. Navy involving roughly 100 mysterious airborne objects and watercraft that were recorded operating off the coast of Virginia.
AARO’s Fiscal Year 2025 Consolidated Annual Report on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena, released this week, briefly discloses that modern military account of UAP swarming near a U.S. installation.
“A lack of timely and actionable sensor data continues to constrain AARO’s ability to resolve cases,” officials wrote in the 14-page review.
Launched under the Biden administration in 2022 to fulfill a mandate in that year’s National Defense Authorization Act, AARO is charged with detecting mysterious objects reported across the air, land, sea, and space domains that could threaten national security or endanger military operations — and resolving the intent and origin of those recorded UAP.
Congress made the directive to establish the office partly in response to mounting concerns that some UAP could be high-tech drones or other next-generation military platforms produced by U.S. adversaries.
The Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 required the director of national intelligence and the secretary of defense to jointly submit unclassified reports (with classified annexes) summarizing all UAP incidents and intelligence assessments for Congress annually, for four years thereafter.
All UAP-related events added into AARO’s caseload between June 2, 2024 and May 30, 2025, and incidents occurring within any past reporting period that were not recorded in previous reports, are included in the latest congressionally-mandated analysis.
Over the course of that year, AARO received 319 UAP reports in total — with 284 featuring UAP-related events from that reporting period, and 25 occurring between 2010 and 2024.
“AARO resolved 114 of the 319 UAP reports, each attributable to various prosaic objects such as balloons, birds, satellites, aircraft, UAS, and a single instance each of a rocket launch and a manned jet pack,” officials wrote.

They confirmed that the office’s case holdings contained 1,870 reports as of May 30, 2025.
Of the 319 new reports that came in over that fiscal year, officials confirmed that 274 UAP reports were observed or captured in the air domain, 44 in the space domain, and one in the maritime domain.
“The single maritime domain UAP case AARO received involved a report from U.S. Navy assets operating off the coast of Virginia. The report described approximately 100 airborne UAP and two, likely uncrewed, surface systems,” the report states. “AARO is actively investigating this event in coordination with the reporting unit.”
Though details are sparse on that investigation, it reflects how UAP-involved incidents continue to be routinely reported near U.S. military bases, testing ranges, nuclear power plants and other locations — heightening potential for a direct security breach.
A Pentagon spokesperson did not immediately respond to DefenseScoop’s request for more information on Tuesday.
“AARO received and analyzed several reports describing UAP in or near national security sites or critical infrastructure. Some narrative reports were suggestive of phenomena whose performance characteristics exceed the known state-of-the-art within a given domain.
No technical data accompanied these reports,” officials wrote in the newly released documentt. “If validated, the attendant phenomena underlying these reports may represent a currently unmitigated threat vector.
Part of AARO’s mission is to provide data and analysis that helps mitigate potential UAP-related national security threats or operational hazards.”
Notably, two cases in the current period “described electronic or avionic interference as attributable to UAP in proximity to an operational aircraft,” according to officials. The office has not yet determined whether — or to what extent — those reported effects were due to UAP.
In fiscal 2025, AARO kicked off several “multi-domain, multi-modal sensor and algorithmic prototyping initiatives” to find, track, characterize, and potentially attribute anomalous detections.
The hub also onboarded a new capability in the most recent reporting period.
The asset enables advanced three-dimensional modeling and simulation applications and helped analysts to resolve 238 reported UAP as satellite flaring, a well-documented phenomenon where sunlight reflecting off of shiny satellite surfaces becomes visible when viewed from certain angles.
“AARO is implementing a multi-year investment strategy to improve awareness across the space, air, and maritime domains,” the report states.
“These investments focus on augmenting existing [U.S. government] sensor architectures, prototyping and field-testing new technologies, and developing novel analytic techniques using proven technologies and methodologies.”
Similar to AARO’s prior annual reports, officials maintained that none of the UAP cases resolved by the office to date “indicate advanced foreign adversarial capabilities or breakthrough technologies in any domain.”
Among other new initiatives in the pipeline, AARO officials revealed that the office is currently developing a formalized process for handling UAP-derived materials by an appropriate line organization — “should such materials ever come into” the government’s possession.

Decades of documents provide evidence of UFO coverups

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – New batches of videos and government documents on UFOs continue to be made made public, but there was already a direct trail of documents proving a coverup.
In fact, KLAS’s George Knapp’s deep dive back in 1989 called “UFOs: the Best Evidence” brought the strongest evidence to date to light.

Well before the series began, UFO researchers had long suspected that a government coverup prevented the public from knowing the full story. But documents provided the proof. Some examples include:
A secret report done in 1948 by the Air Force and Naval Intelligence is among the most fascinating UFO documents ever to surface because it wasn’t supposed to exist.
A confidential memo at the end of the report ordered that all copies should be destroyed. But one copy survived and was taken from the Pentagon in 1985.
That study contains more than 200 of the earliest UFO sightings, including one that occurred in June 1947 near Lake Mead. An Air Force pilot saw a formation of six UFOs.
The report notes the UFOs are some type of flying craft, not weather balloons or hallucinations, and that the origin of flying saucers is not ascertainable.
In another case, the Washington Post reported UFOs visited five separate nuclear missile launch sites near the Canadian border during a two-week period in 1975, one right after the other. And in at least one case the UFOs tampered with the launch codes of ICBM missiles.
