Feds Flagged Daszak As 'An Extremely High Person Of Interest' - Then The FBI Told Them To Stand Down

Customs officers spent three days building a border examination for the man at the center of the COVID origins fight - until Biden's FBI put a stop to it with a single email.

On February 2, 2021, a national targeting security specialist at U.S. Customs and Border Protection's National Targeting Center circulated a referral to colleagues across the agency. The subject was Peter Daszak, president of EcoHealth Alliance, scheduled to land at John F. Kennedy International Airport three days later aboard Qatar Airways flight 701 from Doha, arriving 2:25 p.m. He was returning from the World Health Organization's mission to Wuhan investigating the origins of SARS-CoV-2.

The referral asked that Daszak be considered for a Tactical Terrorism Response Team examination - a secondary inspection that can include questioning and a review of electronic devices. Which, now we know, never happened.

Senator Rand Paul, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, released the underlying records Monday. They show CBP flagged Daszak as "an extremely high person of interest," built out a formal targeting event, and then stood down two days before his flight at the request of the FBI's New York Field Office.

US Ebola center operating in Kenya despite court ban – activists

The alleged move is deeply alarming and unacceptable, according to Katiba Institute, a constitutional watchdog

A controversial US-backed Ebola quarantine facility in Kenya is operating despite a court order suspending activities at the site, activists in the East African nation have said, accusing the authorities of defying the ruling.

The US-based Christian relief organization Samaritan’s Purse confirmed that seven of its employees who had worked in DR Congo were undergoing a 21-day quarantine in “large military tents” in Kenya. The group said none had shown symptoms but did not disclose their location.

Local media, however, reported that military tents at Laikipia Air Base in Nanyuki, about 200 km north of Nairobi, were intended to house the proposed US quarantine center.

The facility drew attention in May after Washington announced a $13.5 million initiative to strengthen Kenya’s Ebola preparedness amid an outbreak in DR Congo, where 2,344 confirmed cases and at least 930 deaths have been recorded.

The US has said the center would protect public health by quarantining Americans who had been exposed to Ebola abroad. Kenyan President William Ruto has defended the project as part of a broader network of 24 preparedness centers.

Opponents, including the constitutional watchdog Katiba Institute and the Law Society of Kenya, challenged the planned 50-bed center in court, arguing that it could pose a public health risk in a country that has never recorded an Ebola case. Protests against the facility have left at least two people dead.

Last month, the Kenyan High Court found Health Minister Aden Duale in contempt for violating an earlier order halting work at the site. Duale later said he had ordered a complete suspension of all construction and other site activities.

“It represents a flagrant and dangerous defiance of the active High Court conservatory orders that explicitly halted the establishment and operationalization of this secretive site,” the organization wrote on Facebook.

The Law Society of Kenya also told AP on Monday that a “deliberate” violation of the court ruling would amount to “impunity and lawlessness.”

Meanwhile, In Dearborn, Michigan…

A viral video from inside a Home Depot in Dearborn, Michigan shows department signs for the likes of Appliances, Paint, Plumbing now carrying Arabic script alongside the English.

This is not some minor accessibility tweak. It is another clear marker of demographic transformation in a city where Middle Eastern and North African ancestry already exceeds 54 percent.

The footage captures shoppers navigating orange-and-black signs that translate core retail categories into Arabic. A woman in full niqab walks the aisle as the camera pans across the bilingual displays. The same pattern has appeared at other major chains serving the area, including Walmart, Costco, Kroger and Albertsons.

Central bankers want WW3

IMF approves new Ukraine cash tranche despite anti-corruption ‘slippage’

The agency has released $690 million while acknowledging that Kiev hasn’t met structural reform benchmarks

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has approved another tranche of its loan to Ukraine despite acknowledging that Kiev isn’t on schedule implementing reforms aimed at tackling corruption.

In a statement issued on Monday, the IMF said its Executive Board had completed the first review of Ukraine’s 48-month Extended Fund Facility (EFF), approving the release of a $690 million tranche. The latest payment brings total IMF disbursements under the $8.1 billion loan program to approximately $2.2 billion, according to the fund.

The IMF said the program’s performance has been “broadly satisfactory,” but noted that reform implementation had slowed. It cited “slippage” in structural reforms, including governance and anti-corruption measures. “Several structural benchmarks [were] completed with a delay or missed,” it said, adding that revised timelines for key reforms had been agreed upon.

Anti-corruption reforms have long been among the IMF’s central conditions when lending to Ukraine. Under the loan program, Kiev pledged to strengthen anti-graft institutions, improve governance, and implement a series of structural reforms, with each tranche of funding contingent on regular reviews of its progress.

The IMF’s latest tranche follows a sweeping cabinet reshuffle that saw several senior officials replaced, including Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov, who acknowledged that he had failed to complete reforms of the corruption-hit ministry.

Ukraine’s military has been rocked by repeated graft scandals since the escalation of the conflict in 2022, with investigators uncovering procurement schemes involving inflated prices for food, ammunition, armored vehicle components, drones, and electronic warfare equipment.

A series of high-profile corruption scandals has also hit Ukraine’s energy sector. In November 2025, authorities uncovered a $100 million kickback scheme at state nuclear company Energoatom allegedly run by Timur Mindich, a close business associate of Vladimir Zelensky who was dubbed “Zelensky’s wallet” by the media.

In June, Ukrainian anti-corruption authorities announced that they had uncovered another Energoatom graft scheme involving the alleged theft of at least $3.8 million in public funds that investigators also linked to Mindich.

DOJ Has Been Hobbling New Mexico’s Epstein Ranch Investigation For Years, Former AG Says

New Mexico’s former attorney general is taking the Justice Department to task for slowing down his state’s renewed probe into Jeffrey Epstein’s Zorro Ranch, telling the Daily Caller News Foundation that the federal government “burned” his office in its investigation of the property.

Federal investigators made an informal deal with the New Mexico Department of Justice (NMDOJ) to provide evidence for New Mexico’s investigation into Epstein’s Zorro Ranch in New Mexico, former New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas told the DCNF. The U.S. attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY) failed to follow through on its informal agreement made on July 23, 2019, with the NMDOJ to refer any state-related matters of the Epstein investigation back to the NMDOJ, Balderas told the DCNF in an exclusive interview.

Balderas, who left office as New Mexico attorney general on Jan. 1, 2023, corroborated his statement by citing a newly discovered handwritten note and an email from James Comey’s daughter released with other Epstein files earlier this year.

Balderas sent a letter on Monday to the current New Mexico Attorney General calling out the “SDNY, and by proxy the U.S. DOJ” for their role in what he alleged was a direct impediment to his office’s investigation of Jeffrey Epstein’s Zorro Ranch in New Mexico.

It remains unclear exactly who wrote the July 2019 note, but Balderas believes it came from either a staff member or legal assistant in the New York office.

“Agreed NMDOJ will stop interviews + refer all matters to SDNY. SDNY will refer any state-related matters to NMAG @ [the] conclusion of SDNY case,” the handwritten note says.

An email in the Epstein files from Sept. 8, 2019, also appears to corroborate the handwritten note that Balderas just discovered. The email was sent by Maurene Comey, who was an assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York in 2019, to an undisclosed address.

“We spoke with the New Mexico AG’s office back in July 2019. In essence, they agreed to cease any investigation into sex trafficking and share whatever they had gathered to date regarding sex trafficking activity with our office,” Comey, the daughter of former FBI Director James Comey, wrote in the September email. “We have not communicated with anyone from the New Mexico AG’s office since that conversation in July 2019.”

The deal between New Mexico, New York and the DOJ was initially made public when a 2019 letter was published in the Epstein files. The letter was from Balderas to Comey and included attachments with all of the NMDOJ’s evidence and interviews.

Zorro Ranch first entered the national spotlight in a 2003 Vanity Fair profile that described Epstein’s sprawling New Mexico estate and private aircraft, but the Ranch became a focus of the sex-trafficking scandal after his 2019 arrest. Epstein was never charged with a crime in New Mexico, and the first publicly documented law enforcement search of the property occurred on March 9, 2026, The Associated Press reported.

Balderas’s letter came after Torrez accused the Justice Department of stonewalling New Mexico’s active Zorro Ranch investigation by withholding unredacted Epstein records. Balderas said the present dispute reflects the same pattern he encountered in 2019, when SDNY allegedly persuaded his office to halt interviews in exchange for a promise to return state-related evidence after the federal case concluded.

“The SDNY, and by proxy the U.S. DOJ, entered into an agreement with the Attorney General of New Mexico that they would provide the records, materials, and leads necessary to investigate New Mexico crimes,” Balderas’ letter from Monday says. “Certainly, the SDNY case has concluded, such that their obligation under this agreement has now materialized. I view this complete refusal to provide the materials your investigators need as a clear breach of our prosecutorial agreement.”

Republicans Promised To Put America First, Instead They’ve Betrayed Everyone For Money From Massive Agriculture Donors

It is an undeniable reality that immigration played a key role in the 2024 elections. Then-presidential candidate Donald Trump spoke on the issue every chance he had, and countless polls showed that Americans desperately wanted change following the disastrous immigration policies of the Biden era, which authorized the mass migration of illegal immigrants into our nation.

Given that, it would be natural to presume that Republicans in Congress would look to deliver on the mandate handed to them by the American people. You would be wrong.

In their latest kowtow to corporate megadonors, 48 Republican members of Congress, along with a few choice Democrats, have unveiled the Securing Agriculture’s Workforce Act of 2026, H.R. 9535.

What “workforce” are they securing, you might ask?

Well, none other than the hundreds of thousands of illegal alien farmworkers in the country.

But before you jump to conclusions, this legislation, while it does grant mass amnesty to illegal aliens, is by no means a handout to undocumented workers. No, this legislation is squarely aimed at advancing and protecting the profits of multimillion- and even billion-dollar corporations of the agricultural sector, all in exchange for generous campaign contributions to the Republicans morally depraved enough to support it.

It is hard to find words to describe this legislation other than “ethically corrupt.” The bill allows illegal foreign workers who can prove they worked as farm laborers — as defined in the bill — for at least six months in the last two years to receive special status by waiving certain legal bars to admissibility and effectively placing them on a fast track to H-2A visa status.

This means they would be considered legally present in the United States — hence the mass amnesty.

But the legislation does not stop there.

UK Government Launches Legal Battle to Prevent Release of Migrant Crime Rates

The left-wing British government has launched an appeal against a ruling ordering the release of the crime rates of migrant groups in the UK, sparking accusations that Labour is seeking to prevent the public from knowing the truth about the impacts of immigration.

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) is seeking to overturn a decision by the Information Commissioner requiring the government to publish crime rates by nationality between 2018 and 2024, The Telegraph reported.

This came after the Centre for Migration Control (CMC) submitted a Freedom of Information request for such data, amid a broader effort to increase transparency about the government-sponsored mass influx of foreigners into the country in recent decades.

The MoJ has argued that complying with the ruling could lead to the identification of some offenders and would represent a “disproportionate” cost to public finances. Both arguments were rejected by the Information Commissioner.

Director of Research for the Centre for Migration Control (CMC), Robert Bates, vowed to deploy “every available means” to compel the government to publish the data.

“It is clearly in the public interest for this information to be released,” he told the broadsheet. “It is astonishing that the government is going to the courts in an effort to fight against such important transparency, and raises serious questions as to what they are hiding.”

The government has previously released partial data on the nationality of sex offences, which showed that foreign nationals accounted for 14.1 per cent of convictions in 2025.

However, the information released by the government failed to include the breakdown of offences committed, such as rape, grooming, or child sexual abuse. The data also did not include migrants who had become naturalised as British citizens, therefore likely undercounting the true impact of migration on crime rates.

While the Freedom of Information request would also not reveal the crimes committed by foreign-born British citizens, campaigners argue the release of the data is necessary for the public to make a determination about the immigration policies they would support, and allow the government to tailor its immigration policies by cutting inflows from high-crime countries and bolstering immigration from low-crime nations.

Although the government has yet to provide such data, previous analysis has suggested stark disparities in crime rates among different nationalities living in Britain. According to a report last year from The Telegraph, which compared the prison rolls to 2021 census data, found that foreigners overall were 27 per cent more likely to be imprisoned than British citizens.

Certain ethnic groups were significantly more overrepresented, with Albanians having an imprisonment rate of 232.33 out of 10,000 people, compared to a rate of 14 out of 10,000 for British citizens. Other high crime rate groups included Kosovars (150), Vietnamese (148.88), Algerians (124.41), Jamaicans (110.77), Eritreans (110.7), Iraqis (104.43), and Somalis (100.37).

Conversely, some migrant groups had a lower imprisonment rate than their British counterparts, including Germans (4.68), Italians (4.96), Indians (6.24), Greeks (6.36), Americans (7.27), Sri Lankans (8.17), French (8.64), and Chinese (9.39).

Commenting on the refusal of the government to release full crime statistics, Reform UK MP Robert Jenrick said: “The cover-up continues. Successive Tory and Labour justice secretaries have refused to publish this basic information.

“A Reform government led by Nigel Farage would immediately blow the lid on what’s really happening and begin deporting these dangerous criminals.”

A Ministry of Justice spokesman denied the government is engaged in a cover-up, but said that it would not comment further amid an open legal proceeding.

Amazon data center in Bahrain struck and destroyed by Iranian cruise missiles, state media claims — attacks launched against AWS site in response to alleged US strikes on an under-construction nuclear plant

The Middle East is seeing escalating violence weeks after the two parties agreed to a ceasefire.

Amazon’s Bahrain data center was reportedly once again hit by missile strikes after the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) conducted an attack against the site. Iran state media claimed that the IRGC launched cruise missiles against the AWS facility and “destroyed it” in response to the U.S.’s bombing of a nuclear plant being built in Darkhovin, Iran, which is close to the Iraqi border.

This isn’t the first time that the American tech giant’s data centers have been attacked in the area. In fact, Iran used drones and missiles to hit several AWS Middle East regional data centers just days after the U.S. began its air strikes against the country. The damage to the sites has gotten to the point that Amazon put them in “hard down” status between late March and early April, with the last update on the AWS Health Dashboard saying that the Middle East (Bahrain) Region (ME-SOUTH-1) “is currently unavailable.”

It isn’t clear if Amazon has begun work on restoring its services in the region. The U.S. and Iran agreed to a ceasefire on June 17, 2026, but the entire thing collapsed after the latter allegedly attacked three ships in the Strait of Hormuz that were sailing in Omani waters on July 7. This led to an escalating series of retaliations, with one of the recent Iranian strikes resulting in American casualties in Jordan. Aside from hitting the nuclear powerplant that’s still under construction, U.S. Central Command said that it also “targeted Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces that launched attacks against U.S. service members in Jordan on July 17.” The IRGC said that this is what led to its most recent attacks on AWS Bahrain.

Despite the strikes, it seems that it had no effect on Amazon’s services — the company has long moved its customers to sites unaffected by the conflict, ensuring service continuity. While it’s possible that the tech giant is trying to repair the damage to its sites, it hasn’t released any updates about the AWS Bahrain data center. As long as the war between the U.S. and Iran hasn’t resulted in lasting peace, American infrastructure in the region is in grave danger of being attacked, especially as the IRGC has directly threatened American tech companies like Microsoft, Apple, Google, and even OpenAI’s $30-bilion Stargate data center in Dubai.

World Health Organization proudly announces childhood global vaccine coverage moves forward despite “hesitancy”

Zero-dose children fell by nearly 750 000 in the past year, but drop-out numbers high and stagnant, increasing risk of disease outbreaks

In 2025, 90% of infants globally – or nearly 116 million – received at least one dose of a diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis (DTP) vaccine, and 85% – or 110 million – completed the full three-dose series, according to the annual WHO-UNICEF Estimates of National Immunization Coverage (WUENIC) released today.

While both indicators rose by one percentage point from the previous year, global coverage remains one point below 2019 levels – hovering within the same narrow range since 2009.

According to the data, an estimated 13.5 million “zero-dose” children did not receive a single vaccine in their first year during 2025. While these represent nearly 750 000 fewer children than the previous year, progress is offset by a rising number of children who start the schedule and do not complete it. Most of these children live in countries where national immunization programmes receive support from Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.

Globally, 7.3 million infants are estimated to have received their first DTP dose but dropped out before receiving their first measles dose. This drop-out rate contributed to stalled measles coverage with 84% of children receiving the first measles dose (MCV1) and 77% receiving the second dose (MCV2). Both figures fall far short of the 95% threshold required to prevent outbreaks of this highly contagious virus. Consequently, 57 countries reported large or disruptive measles outbreaks in 2025.

Behind Closed Laboratory Doors the Search for a Genetic Copy Never Truly Ended

Every few years, the same cycle quietly repeats itself. A research paper appears in a respected scientific journal, a handful of headlines promise that humanity has moved one step closer to cloning itself, politicians issue carefully rehearsed statements about ethics, and within days the story disappears beneath the weight of newer controversies. The science never actually vanishes. It simply retreats back into laboratories where progress is measured in microscopic changes instead of dramatic breakthroughs. For nearly three decades, human cloning has occupied this strange space between documented biology and public imagination, becoming one of the few scientific subjects capable of generating endless speculation despite producing remarkably little verified evidence that reproductive cloning has ever crossed the threshold from theory into reality.

Most public discussions begin with the wrong question. They ask whether scientists can clone a human being, as though biology operates like engineering, where enough funding and enough time inevitably solve every technical obstacle. Developmental biology has repeatedly demonstrated the opposite. The closer researchers have examined the earliest stages of embryonic development, the more fragile the entire process has appeared. DNA may contain the genetic blueprint, but a blueprint does not construct the building. Countless biochemical instructions unfold in a sequence so precise that even slight disturbances can redirect development long before an embryo becomes recognizable as anything resembling life. That complexity explains why the scientific conversation surrounding cloning has remained cautious even as other fields of biotechnology have advanced at extraordinary speed.

Long before conspiracy theories attached themselves to the subject, laboratories around the world had already accumulated an uncomfortable collection of failed experiments. These failures were never hidden from the scientific community. They appeared in journals, conference presentations and technical reports, often buried beneath statistical tables that rarely reached newspaper headlines. Success attracted cameras. Failure remained locked inside supplementary data that few people outside molecular biology ever bothered to read. Yet those overlooked pages reveal a far more sobering story than popular culture has ever portrayed. Cloning has never been a sequence of spectacular victories. It has been a relentless lesson in how astonishingly difficult it is to persuade living cells to forget what they have already become.
