Whistleblower Says Native Americans Were Drugged, Locked in Fake Rehab Houses So Criminals Could Steal Billions From Medicaid — Up to 2,000 Feared Dead or Missing
‘They were traps’: Woman blows whistle on fake sober living homes
A Navajo advocate who has blown the whistle on fraudulent “sober living” homes in Arizona says she began shining a light on the Medicaid scam targeting Native Americans after her own cousin was kidnapped by operators who plied her relative with drugs and alcohol.
“They told her she would go to Phoenix for the day and (they would) take her home. All throughout the ride they gave her alcohol,” Reva Stewart told “Jesse Weber Live” on Friday.
She said the people who took her cousin demanded personal information from her as they tried to persuade her to stay at a residence. When her cousin refused, Stewart said, they gave her a fentanyl pill and “told her that she would have to find her way home.”
Up to 2,000 Native Americans dead or missing in Medicaid fraud scheme: Attorneys
When Stewart learned of her relative’s ordeal, she realized there was a connection between other missing Native Americans and white vans that were observed cruising around tribal communities.
A civil lawsuit against the Arizona government says state officials enabled what essentially was a plot to divert as many as 7,000 Native Americans to fake sober living homes in Phoenix.
Operators allegedly charged billions in Medicaid services that were not provided as handlers plied residents with drugs. An estimated 2,000 victims are still missing, attorneys have said.
Stewart says some were able to escape the residences, which were locked from the outside.
“They weren’t treatment homes. They were traps,” she said.
State officials in 2023 announced crackdown efforts against the fraud, but critics say little justice has been meted out, considering the crimes that occurred against vulnerable people.
Stewart says the scam continues, based on reports she still receives about missing Native Americans. She said she feels she may be in danger for her efforts to publicize what has happened.
“I’ve been followed. I’ve had all four of my tires slashed on my vehicle,” she said. “I do carry a gun — I have to.”

Epstein-linked modeling scout found dead outside Paris
Daniel Siad was under investigation by French police specializing in combating human trafficking
A French fashion industry scout with ties to the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein has been found dead outside Paris, prosecutors told AFP on Wednesday.
Daniel Siad, who was 69, was reportedly found unresponsive in his kitchen by a 28-year-old woman who lived with him on Monday.
“An investigation to determine the cause of death was opened on Monday evening following the discovery,” French prosecutors said in a statement cited by local media. An autopsy is to be carried out as part of the probe.
At the time of his death, Siad was the subject of an investigation by French prosecutors following several complaints, including rape allegations. The investigation had been assigned to a specialist office responsible for combating human trafficking.
Several former models have accused Siad of using his position as a scout to target young women with promises of careers in fashion before sexually exploiting them or introducing them to powerful men.
Siad’s name appears in the Epstein files published by the US Justice Department more than 2,000 times. They contain correspondence between Siad and Epstein, in which the French scout suggests multiple models to the late pedophile, asks for money and trades sex jokes.
The former scout was not the first of Epstein’s former associates to die before they got to testify in court.
Jean-Luc Brunel, the founder of a modeling agency established with financial backing from Epstein, was arrested in 2020 on allegations including rape and child sex trafficking. He died in prison in 2022 while awaiting trial. French authorities ruled his death a suicide.
Epstein was found dead in his jail cell in New York in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. His death was officially ruled a suicide, although it has continued to fuel public scrutiny and speculation because of his connections to wealthy and powerful figures.
Despite years of government investigations, witness depositions and disclosures, no Epstein ‘client list’ has been made public, and none of his high-profile contacts have been charged with any crimes related to the sex trafficker’s case.

Who is Miatta Fahnbulleh? New UK PM’s Far-Left ‘Net Zero’ Secretary Comes From Family of Powerful African Radicals.
Miatta Fahnbulleh, appointed as Andy Burnham’s Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, has a family history intertwined with radical politics and government upheavals in her native Liberia.
Former asylum seeker Miatta Fahnbulleh has been appointed as Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero by newly installed British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, drawing attention to her family’s controversial past in Liberia.
Fahnbulleh’s family, known as “Vai aristocrats,” were involved in multiple government overthrow attempts in Liberia, fleeing to Britain in the 1980s. Her father, Henry Boimah Fahnbulleh Jr., served as foreign minister under Liberia’s former dictator Samuel Doe, who took power in a violent military coup in 1986 and suspended the constitution. By 1989, the country had fallen into civil war. Soldiers loyal to Doe massacred 600 civilians in a church in 1990, with the dictator being captured and put to death by insurgents later the same year. Fahnbulleh’s grandfather, Henry Boimah Fahnbulleh Sr., was convicted of treason over connections with Chinese communists in the late 1960s. This background draws parallels to figures like Rep. Ilhan Omar in the U.S., whose family also fled a regime they once served in Somalia.
The appointment of Fahnbulleh could influence the direction of the British government’s net zero agenda under Burnham, potentially aligning them with more radical leftist ideologies. She was previously Director of Policy and Chief Executive of the left-wing Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) and the New Economics Foundation, respectively, and has advocated for harsh windfall taxes on energy firms, a wealth tax, and imposing tax hikes on capital gains and higher earners, as well as pensioners. The commitment of Burnham’s predecessor, Sir Keir Starmer, to net zero was a source of significant friction with the Trump administration in the U.S., with the President urging the then-Prime Minister to reopen the North Sea to oil and gas exploration to bring down the country’s sky-high energy prices.

Cheating the System: How AI Data Centers Bypass Water and Air Pollution Laws and Permits
Dozens of data centers are sidestepping water pollution permits and exploiting air permitting loopholes meant for small-scale polluters, according to Politico and Floodlight investigations. “It’s not even about data centers anymore at this point,” local resident Nikki Gerber told Politico. “It’s like, what’s happening to our democracy and what’s happening to our right to clean water and clean air.”
In the race to build infrastructure for artificial intelligence (AI), companies are constructing massive data centers that could have devastating consequences for the environment — all while sidestepping water pollution permits and exploiting air pollution permitting loopholes, according to separate investigations by Politico and Floodlight News.
Environmental advocates say regulatory changes and permitting strategies are letting projects move forward with minimal oversight and no input from the communities where they’re built.
A 2023 U.S. Supreme Court ruling eliminated federal permitting requirements — and with them, the public consultation those permits required — for many streams and wetlands that were previously protected, according to Politico.
A separate Floodlight investigation found that developers in Texas — where roughly 300 data centers already operate and 200 more are in development — have used “minor” air permits intended for small-scale polluters to build large-scale gas turbine and diesel generator operations with far less environmental review than the major permits they should be applying for would require.
The new regulatory landscape for data centers and waterways
The Clean Water Act requires federal water pollution permits for construction projects in areas under its jurisdiction. The permits regulate the amount of pollutants that can be discharged into a waterway and require the developer to conduct ongoing monitoring and reporting of all water pollution.
However, in May 2023, the Supreme Court ruled that the Clean Water Act extends only to wetlands that qualify as a “relatively permanent body of water” that has a continuous surface connection with “waters” of the U.S., defined as traditional interstate navigable waters.
As a result, many data centers that previously would have fallen under the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) jurisdiction — and thus would have required permits — can now be built without those permits. This allows the projects to fill in or pollute streams and wetlands that were previously protected.
But even data centers built in areas that are protected under the law are getting rapid approval with minimal requirements, thanks to recent Trump administration mandates, according to Politico.
Rather than having site-specific reviews, many data centers can now apply for a “nationwide permit,” typically given to projects anticipated to have “minimal” impacts on waterways. The Trump administration opened AI data centers to this type of permitting earlier this year.

Another Citizen Surveillance Tech Company Is Giving Flock A Run For It’s Money
A lesser-known tech company called Axon is giving Flock a run for its money when it comes to installing license plate-reading cameras powered by artificial intelligence (AI) into streetlights in the name of “public safety.”
Axon is behind the “Axon Lightpole” — which uses already erected, everyday infrastructure to add AI surveillance components to keep an eye on Americans — akin to the ones manufactured by Flock, which have recently come under fire. The newer technology from Axon that is added on top of streetlights came about as part of a partnership between another law enforcement tech company called Ubicquia.
Given that the Flock units have caused citizen backlash, which has resulted in local governments canceling contracts with them, some governing bodies have gone on to hire Axon to essentially do the same job that the Flock tech did, according to Gadget Review.
A key example of a city that ended contracts with Flock and opened a massive nearly $23,000,000 account with Axon is Denver (as well as Douglas County, Colorado at large), where 100 Axon Lightposts are set to replace 50 Flock devices, the Denver Gazette reported.
In fact, up until about a year ago, Axon and Flock were partners for years in sharing LPR (license plate reader) data. Axon ended that partnership and traded it for a new one with AI infrastructure firm Ubicquia. The new Ubicquia partnership resulted in the Axon Lightpole.
When the Axon Lightpole was announced back in April of 2025, Axon CEO Rick Smith, alongside Ubicquia CEO Ian Aaron, revealed their collaboration efforts on this product could easily add an array of watchful eyes for state entities by adding cameras to millions of common streetlights.

Iran strikes on CIA facilities in Gulf prompt questions about possible Russian role — sources
Iranian drone attacks on CIA facilities in the Gulf have prompted US intelligence analysts to investigate whether Russia assisted by providing targeting information or advanced drone technology, say four people familiar with US intelligence.
These people, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss national security matters, say US intelligence officials have not yet reached firm conclusions about the possible Russian involvement in the attacks on CIA facilities. But they cite the strikes’ effectiveness and apparent precision, as well as Russia’s broader technical support for Iran, as possible evidence.
Reuters and other media have reported — and US officials have acknowledged — that Russia has provided targeting and other support for Iran in its strikes on US targets in the Gulf region generally, but the intelligence community’s investigation of possible Russian involvement in supporting the CIA facility attacks has not been previously disclosed.
At least two CIA sites were struck in March, Reuters and other outlets have reported. One of the facilities was the CIA station in Saudi Arabia, which is located in the US embassy in Riyadh, and a separate site was located in eastern Iraq. Some of the sources said additional CIA sites had been hit, but they did not disclose details.

Israel‘s Secret Sales Pitch to Provide Surveillance Drones to the UAE
Internal emails and documents reveal how Israel’s Elbit Systems worked to supply the UAE with drones and other weapons.
On May 12, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee publicly disclosed a significant development in the military relationship between Israel and the United Arab Emirates amid the war in Iran.
“Israel just sent [the UAE] Iron Dome batteries and personnel to help operate them,” Huckabee said at an event in Tel Aviv. Huckabee described the deployment as a fruit of the Abraham Accords, calling the Israeli-Emirati relationship “extraordinary.”
The deployment—as Iranian missiles and drones targeted the region in response to a joint U.S.-Israeli attack—marked the first publicly acknowledged presence of Israeli military personnel and air-defense equipment inside a Gulf monarchy. But the integration of Israeli weapons into the UAE’s defenses did not begin with the Iran war.
An archive drawn from the email account of Vered Haimovich, a former Israeli military officer who became vice president of Elbit Systems’ UAV Systems Business Unit in January 2021, shows how the arms company worked in the aftermath of the Abraham Accords to create a channel for the sale of drones and aerial surveillance equipment to Abu Dhabi.
The email archive includes internal documents from Elbit and its Emirati subsidiary, as well as documents identified as request lists from the UAE military to Elbit in the context of negotiating weapons deals. Drop Site conducted cryptographic verification on the email address signatures and also verified non-public contact information for parties referenced in the documents.
The email archive was published by Distributed Denial of Secrets and released by Handala, an online hacking group presumed to be tied to the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence. The archive consists of personal messages, newsletters, and advertisements from Haimovich’s Gmail account. But it also contains a smaller collection of Elbit correspondence that executives from the company sent to her personal account—along with Elbit documents Haimovich forwarded to her own Gmail account from her Elbit address.
The Elbit emails, dating from late 2021 through early 2023, include a detailed April 2022 proposal from Elbit Systems Emirates subsidiary to provide a suite of Hermes 900 drones with supporting equipment and logistical support to Abu Dhabi. The proposal lays out the terms of a deal that would see the Israeli defense manufacturer provide the UAE two Hermes 900 systems comprising six aircraft, SkEye wide-area surveillance sensors, ground-control equipment, training, and logistical support.
The proposal identifies Elbit Systems Ltd. as the seller and says the package was intended to meet an “Urgent Operational Requirement” of the UAE. The initial package offered six aircraft and supporting systems for $154 million with additional upgrades that would raise its total value to approximately $225 million.
