With the volume and voractiy of information presented online the need to solidify one's sense of self becomes a greater challenge as well as an existential imperative in the struggle to not only surive the digitial age, but to thrive within it. To that end, consider the importance of how your identity is framed within your mind, that when you are presented with difficult situations you are capable of expressing yourself in a manner beffiting the legacy of the innumerable trials which were overcome to present you with the opportunity to create a future for yourself here and now.
Drawing upon the consideration of what your sense of self is built upon, pay special attention to how that internal identity is framed within your mind. Specifically, focus upon the good which you expect you will be capable of creating within your life as an expression of who you are. While it may indeed be true that you will find yourself coming into potential conflict with others as we are exposed more closely, and regularly with a greater variety of others than ever before, it only becomes more important to keep your eyes upon the prize.
When a person allows their sense of self to be defined in relation to others, they can become thrall to forces beyond their control. Should you spend a substantial time dedicated to supporting or opposing specific individuals or organizations, for example, you may find yourself bound to ideas or initiatives which you had never expected, should it occur that your perceptions of those individuals or organizations were lacking in some substantial manner. Yet if you had maintained a logos bound to principles rather than entities, you will often find yourself able to support those things which are aligned with your ideals without finding yourself later married to positions which conflict with your sense of self.
The enormity of the world and the scope of information which one is presented with through the Internet sings a strong siren's song compelling people to imagine themselves as actors on the grand stage of the whole of the world, which can easily deceive one to attempt action contradictory to their own advantage, in service to nebulous powers alien to human understanding. Yet if a person builds up their "self" carefully and thoughtfully outwards from their immediate experiences, they will find a firm foundation upon which to stand when presented with unexpected challenge.
