I like the ESV actually; it's easy to digest. They removed the passage about fasting but everyone ended up learning about the health benefits of fasting anyways. Past 10 years have been an explosion of awareness regarding health stuff.
King James was actually known to be overweight so maybe he had the passage about fasting omitted because he got offended that prayer wasn't working but it was in fact in his own hands to blame.
