My son is in attendance for this 2026 National Scouting America Jamboree, his two parents and two siblings attended the opening ceremony tonight and these were the highlights from tonight's show. Paid roughly $500 for 4 tickets, arrived early for security check, the buses were late, but only 150 or so guests bought tickets. We got bussed in and immediately escorted to a giant empty red square of grass, no trading post, no food, no vending, waited on the grass for nearly 2hours for the show to start. It was awesome watching the scouts march in and find their spots, all troops had an American flag and those were awesome, and they recited the pledge of allegiance, but NO STAR SPANGLED BANNER?? Nothing America 250, NO flyover, nothing truly patriotic at all, but that wasn't the best part.. the band choosen to headline was terrible IMHO, singing greatful dead and Taylor shit, but they ended with a song called PINK PONY CLUB, I had never heard but my significant other knew too well.. when I learned what it was about I was disgusted. So disappointed, I wanted to leave, but couldn't. Had to sit thru a scripted speech from some girl who wants to restrict access to the Internet because her grandfather got scammed something, it was pathetic, and then a drone show that was both underwhelming and couldn't get a single US flag correct.

Tomorrow we return for a visitor day, but already I am disgusted, disappointed, and angry.. they are not correcting their ways, they are flipping the bird to our great nation, and I am saddened and will speak loudly to anyone who will listen.
