President Donald Trump departed Michigan aboard a newly redesigned Air Force One on Monday, unveiling a fresh paint scheme for the presidential aircraft featuring a dark blue exterior, gold stripe, and red trim, The Hill reported.
The updated appearance was spotted as Trump's motorcade arrived at Oakland County International Airport before the president's flight back to Washington, D.C., according to a pool report from Los Angeles Times Washington correspondent Ana Ceballos.
The redesign gives the Air Force One 757 a color scheme that closely resembles the exterior design of a Boeing 747-8 aircraft gifted to Trump by Qatar.
The newly painted aircraft replaces the traditional light blue and white design that has been associated with Air Force One for decades.
