Finland Plans to Build a New Iron Curtain and block Russian Internet Traffic
July 29, 2026 | Sundance |
We have been warning for several years about the “new democratic norms”being established on a very totalitarian system of control; specifically, the control of information.
The need for control is a reaction tofear.
Finland is announcing that they will sever their international internet link that is connected to Russia, seemingly wanting to build a virtual wall between Russia and the ‘west’, or at least part of a virtual Iron Curtain they can control.
Four decades ago, thevoice of freedomwas heard saying, “tear down this wall.” Today, the modern version of European democracy istaking action akin to saying, “we must rebuild these walls.”
This is a verydangerous approach because a desire to stop discussion, a demand to stop the free flow of challenging ideas, an approach to silence – as opposed to winning the argument,is the exact opposite of freedom; it is the activity of totalitarian dictatorships.
We used to have Radio Free Europe in order to send ideas and information about the inherent value of freedom over the walls to what we called ‘oppressed’ people. Now, the baseline of modern western values is to do exactly the opposite, ==to block information that may come from the other side of the curtain.=
Reasonably intelligent people might ask, what exactly is it the Europeans fear?
It looks like both JDVance and Marco Rubiowere correct in 2025 when they warned Europe what lay at the end of this censorship slope they are chasing. The era of ‘western values’ being understood by both Europeans and Americans has certainly come to an end.
I doubt very muchthat Russian Federation President VladimirPutin is against the ideaof having Europe sever the internet in an attempt to isolate the people of Russia.
Every dictatorial step the ‘west’ makes from covid passports to vaccine mandates, to quarantine camps and beyond, only makes the Russian Federation look more open and freer by comparison.
There is a reason why the Russian COVID-19 vaccine uptake was one of the lowest in the world, and that reason stands as a stark contrast to the claims of the ‘west’.If Russia is such a control state, such a totalitarian state, then why didn’t the Russian people face forced masking or vaccination compliance?
Wait, that doesn’t make sense, right?….
Be careful comrades or you may find yourself asking the questions that all good compliant citizens are not supposed to ask.

Senate Fan Girls for Zelenskyy then Advances Russian Sanction Bill 86-12
July 29, 2026 | Sundance |
The behavior of the U.S. senators clamoring to be with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyyreflects a certain level of disconnect that needs to be witnessed to be realized.
Senators, grown adults awaiting Zelenskyy’s arrival, clinging to every word, clamoring to be first in line for his reception, competing against each other for time standing next to him, the entire event was grotesque and creepy. WATCH:
BREAKING: Zelenskyy Meets U.S. Senators as Russia Energy Sanctions Bill Gains Momentum | AC1Z
17:07
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with U.S. Senators in Washington, D.C., as the U.S. Senate considers legislation that would impose additional energy sanctions on Russia.
Following the closed-door meeting, Zelenskyy and U.S. lawmakers held a joint news conference to discuss continued support for Ukraine, the proposed sanctions package, and the ongoing conflict with Russia.
The sanctions bill, championed by the late Senator Lindsey Graham, is aimed at increasing pressure on Russia's energy sector while reaffirming U.S. support for Ukraine.
Shortly after the guided tour of the upper chamber, the Golden Child was carried on a gilded chariot into the viewing chamber while trumpets blared, senators took turns bringing forth their taxpayer funded indulgences, and Senator Jeanne Shaheen knelt down at his feet and peeled Zelenskyy’s grapes. Yeah, that’s the vibe.
The “Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026” was then advanced by the Senate in an 86 to 12 procedural vote teeing up the bill for final passage in the Senate later this week. However, I would challenge people to READ THE BILL, it’s only 61-pages.
Within the bill you will note almost everything within the law is left to the enforcement discretion of the President; which normally would not be of great concern, however, given the punishment for violations – things may get sketchy depending on who is in office.
A foreign person who “undermines the peace, security, political stability, or territorial integrity of Ukraine;” and/or “undermines the democratic processes of Ukraine,” will be in violation of the U.S. law and subject to fines, travel or visa restrictions.wtf? [Page 13, page 28]As a consequence, any person who may be critical of Ukraine -undermining the democratic process via criticism- can be punished by the U.S. President.
=Page 36 applies a 100% U.S. tariff against the import of any country’s goods into the USA if that country purchase energy products from Russia== (with qualifiers). The intent of that section is to stop China and/or India from purchasing Russian oil and gas.
As noted by Politico, ‘the revamped bill expands the number of Russian entities that would be subject to mandatory sanctions — including Russia’s shadow fleet of ships ferrying oil —but it also grants Trump broad waiver authority.’
The House is in summer recess, so things may stall even if the Senate (very pro-Ukraine) passes the bill.

West pushing ‘ultimatum’ on Russia over Ukraine – Lavrov
Moscow will not accept a truce that preserves the Kiev regime and allows foreign troops into Ukraine, the top diplomat has said
Published 29 Jul, 2026 10:19 |
The West is trying to force Russia to accept an “ultimatum” on the Ukraine conflict by demanding a ceasefire before peace talks, , Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said.
In an interview with TASS news agency on Wednesday, Russia’s top diplomat argued thatWestern countries first want Moscow and Kiev to agree to a ceasefire, after which a multinational force led by France and the UK would be deployed before real negotiations begin.
“What does this mean? It is an ultimatum,”Lavrov said.
According to the minister, such a scenariowould effectively freeze the conflict while leaving “the Nazi regime” in power in Kiev, with Western countries refusing to recognize the former Ukrainian territories that voted to join Russia in referendums.
Lavrov said Russia would not accept such conditions, adding that the country has not abandoned its principles, despite external pressure.
Moscow has repeatedly rejected proposals for an immediate ceasefire, arguing that any pause in the fighting would allow Kiev to regroup and rearm with Western military assistance. Russian officials have also consistently opposed the deployment of foreign troops to Ukraine, warning they would be treated as legitimate military targets.
The diplomat also arguedthat Western countries have been waging a “ferocious”proxy war against Russia by supplying advanced weapons to Ukraineand backing anti-government Russian activists living abroad. He described the situation as “unprecedented” and “serious.”
“The entire ‘civilized’ world, as it calls itself, has turned against us,” Lavrov said.
According to him, the West’s covert aim is to turn the Russian public against the government.
“We launched the special military operation at a time when society was generally calm, comfortable, and broadly satisfied with its standard of living. That did not suit the West. They did not want society to remain calm. They wanted to turn the public against the authorities,” he said.
Lavrov went on to describe the Ukraine conflict as a war “imposed” on Russia by the West, saying many countries were closely watching how it would end.
Speaking more broadly about the country’s foreign policy,Lavrov said its national interests lie in preserving sovereignty. He said Russia’s priority is to remain “an independent power” with secure borders and the ability to determine its own domestic affairs without outside interference.
There has been renewed diplomatic activity around the Ukraine crisis in recent days. Last week,Lavrov met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, where he reaffirmed Moscow’s readiness for diplomacy while insisting that arms deliveries to Ukraine must end.
On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump met Vladimir Zelensky at the White House. Trump said that “many things were discussed” without elaborating. Zelensky wrote on X that it was “important that the diplomatic process be reinvigorated.”However, no format or timetable for new talks have been announced.

Russian monk killed by US-made drone in Ukrainian attack – Russian Orthodox Church
The Ukrainian military targeted a car carrying two clergy members in Russia’s Lugansk People’s Republic, the Church reported
Published 29 Jul, 2026 17:28 |
A Russian Orthodox monk was killed by a Ukrainian drone strike that targeted a car in Russia’s Lugansk People’s Republic, according to a statement from the Russian Orthodox Church. A priest in the same vehicle was also injured in the attack, the Church reported.
The incident took place in the northwestern part of the region on Tuesday. The 68-year-old monk, identified as Rafail, was acting as a sub-prior at a garrison churchin Russia’s northwestern Leningrad Region but volunteered to travel to Russian troops in the combat zone. The statement also identified the other victim as a priest, Ilarion, who was Rafail’s father superior.
A US-made Hornet drone was used in the attack, the Russian Orthodox Churchsaid. The attack came on the day the church celebrated theanniversary of the Baptism of Kievan Rus,which is considered to be a predecessor to modern Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus.
Back in the 10th century, Prince Vladimir the Great officially converted to Christianity and initiated the mass baptism of Rus.Kiev had claimed that Ukraine is the only rightful heir to Kievan Rus even before the escalation of the Ukraine conflict, while branding Russia as a “distant relative.”
The government of Ukraine led by VladimirZelensky has been persecuting the Ukrainian Orthodox Church for several years, alleging that it has connections to Moscow, despite the Church having severed all ties with it in 2022. The crackdown has included raids on monasteries and dozens of criminal proceedings on collaboration charges, as well as property seizures. Kiev also supports the rival Orthodox Church of Ukraine, which the Russian Orthodox Church considers schismatic.
Ukraine has routinely targeted civilians with drone strikes over the past months amid battlefield setbacks. It has sharply intensified its long-range drone campaign in recent weeks, targeting oil facilities, warehouses, residential buildings, and other infrastructure deep inside Russian territory.
Moscow has branded the attacks as terrorism and stepped up strikes on Ukraine’s military-industrial and logistical infrastructure in response.

Sen. Tommy Tuberville Explodes at Fauci Hearing: ‘He Should Be LOCKED UP Before He Leaves This Building Today… He KILLED PEOPLE!’ (VIDEO)
by Cassandra MacDonald Jul. 29, 2026 11:20
In a fiery interview during Wednesday’s Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee hearing, Sen. Tommy Tuberville unloaded on Dr. Anthony Fauci, demanding the former NIAID director be arrested and imprisoned on the spot for his role in the COVID-19 pandemic response.
Sen. Tuberville made the comments during an appearance on Newsmax from Capitol Hill.
“He should be locked up before he leaves this building today and put in prison and then put on trial in front of the American people!” Tuberville declared. “We lost 20,000-30,000 people in Alabama alone, and I hope every damn one of them sues this Dr. Fauci and puts him in court. If we can’t put him in prison, lets put him in court every day for the rest of his life where he has to be punished and listen to the death he caused!”
Tuberville later added, “He killed people!”

"He KlLLED PEOPLE
Tuberville noted that people are still dying because of Fauci’s actions.
The hearing, chaired by Sen. Rand Paul, is ongoing at the time of publishing and has been extremely contentious.
Paul had released more than 1,100 pages of Fauci’s personal diary notes from late 2019 through 2022 in the days leading up to the hearing.
Those entries covered Fauci’s private thoughts on virus origins, his public profile, interactions with the Trump administration, lockdowns, and other matters.
The private writings deeply contradict Fauci’s public statements.
Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, appeared with multiple attorneys.
In his opening statement, Fauci accused Paul of an “unhinged obsession” and claimed the hearing’s sole purpose was to try to get him to say something that would put him “behind bars.” He then repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment, declining to answer questions on the advice of counsel.
Chaos erupted early when one of Fauci’s attorneys, David Schertler, repeatedly interrupted proceedings and insisted on sitting at the witness table despite instructions to sit behind.
Paul warned him multiple times, “You are not recognized… If you are unruly, you will be removed… Another word and you’re gone.”
When Schertler continued, Paul ordered Capitol Police to eject him from the room.
Gallery members applauded.
Paul noted for the record that Fauci still had the advice of his remaining half-dozen lawyers.
Ranking Member Sen. Gary Peters, a Democrat, objected and said he wanted to hear the attorney, but Paul insisted the testimony was from Fauci alone.
Throughout the hearing, Fauci declined to answer questions on gain-of-function research, Wuhan lab funding and oversight, the Proximal Origin paper, lockdowns, school closures, vaccines, and other topics.
Republicans noted the Biden autopen pardon does not shield against lying to Congress or certain state-level actions.

I begged my brother and sister in law don’t get the vaccine. My oldest brother, he had a healthy life, but they both got the vaccine. They both died and week from each other. The fear for them was awful.
Fuck you!
Thank you, I think there are a lot of anons had the same experience I remember being on the board, and how awful it was with my stories like mine. I actually think there was a lot more a million died.
Fauci cannot get off the hook and all his corrupt people that pushed this.
None of them should get off, but they do.

Mike Benz explains why Fauci pleaded the Fifth and how it can’t save him… 7/29/26. 1/2
Anthony Fauci stumbled into the Senate chamber today, shaking and looking like he hasn’t slept in weeks, carrying one enormous shield: the Fifth Amendment.
But that shield may not be as strong as he thinks it is.
Fauci repeatedly refused to answer questions, apparently deciding that silence was safer than explaining himself under oath. And honestly, that choice tells you plenty all by itself, right?
After years of smug lectures and insisting that anyone who questioned him was somehow questioning “science,” Fauci suddenly has very little to say when the questions come with legal consequences.
Mike Benzbelieves the reason is very simple.
Fauci has backed himself into a corner where every available option right now is dangerous. Tell the truth, and he could destroy what little shred of “reputation” he has left. Lie, and he gets an all-new legal problem that Biden’s autopen pardon can’t touch.
So Fauci chose door number three: say nothing and hope the Fifth gets him out of the room alive.
But thanks to that sweeping Biden pardon, that 5th escape hatch may eventually slam shut.
The autopen pardon might protect Fauci from prosecution for certain past conduct, but it can’t protect him from whatever he says under oath today. That leaves Fauci trapped between answers that could expose what really happened and new testimony that prosecutors tear apart, word by word.
That autopen pardon doesn’t hand Mr. Fauci a free pass to commit perjury or make false statements years later.
So even though Fauci invoked the Fifth today, that doesn’t end the matter. It willlikely begin the next legal fight over whether he had a legitimate right to refuse each question.
And Revolver readers have heard this argument before… we published a piece on this very topic just a couple of weeks ago.
The basic legal principle is that the Fifth Amendment protects you from being forced to give testimony that could be used to prosecute you.But when a pardon removes the threat of federal prosecution for the conduct being discussed, the argument for remaining silent is a helluva lot harder to make.
Revolver:
As you likely know by now, Senator Rand Paul says Fauci will testify publicly before his committee on July 29th, and this time, the “fifth” escape hatch might not be so easy to open…
That’s because Biden gave Fauci that sweeping preemptive “autopen” pardon before leaving office. The pardon was supposed to protect him.But legally, it screws up Fauci’s ability to sit there, twiddle his thumbs, and plead the Fifth when the questions get uncomfortable.
A lot of Americans believe Fauci should’ve faced real legal consequences a long time ago for what he did to humanity. They look at COVID, the lockdowns, deaths, mandates, ruined businesses, lost years, and all the sketchy questions about Wuhan and the endless array of smug lectures from “experts,” and they don’t see a humble public servant who deserves yet another theatrical political hearing…they see a criminal.
A criminal who got protected.
https://revolver.news/2026/07/mike-benz-explains-why-fauci-pleaded-the-fifth-and-how-it-cant-save-him/
2/2
And let’s be honest here, ablanket pardon doesn’t exactly scream “innocence,” does it?Normal people see something like that and ask the obvious question: if nobody did anything wrong, why did Biden’s autopen feel the need to pardon him before anyone was even charged with anything?
And again, that’s what makes this hearing interesting.
Because if Fauci can’t hide behind the Fifth, then he may be forced into a very ugly corner. He can tell the truth or risk lying to Congress (again). And if Republicans actually have the balls to press hard, follow up, and refuse to let him bluster his way through the hearing, this could become more than another useless Swamp show.
Rand Paul’s position is exactly what we described. Biden removed Fauci’s risk of prosecution for the federal conduct it covered, so he should answer questions freely.
And that’s exactly what Republicans should force.
Rand made it clear that he doesn’t consider this finished.
Fauci is running out of places to hide.
One of his former senior advisers, David Morens, has already been indicted on charges involving the concealment and destruction of federal records during the COVID era. Fauci hasn’t been charged in that case, but the investigation surrounding his old circle of ghoulish pals is real.
Now, with this “fifth” nonsense,Fauci has placed himself squarely in the middle of a new legal mess.
What could happen next? Likely, contempt of Congress. That means the committee or entire Senate could vote to hold him in contempt for refusing to answer after a subpoena, then refer the matter to the DOJ for possible criminal prosecution, and then take it from there.
Many folks also believe that Fauci should be the “test case” for challenging Biden’s autopen pardons. And don’t forget, presidential pardons are federal. So the states could still file separate charges.
Maybe Fauci never sees the inside of a courtroom, time will tell.
But after watching him plead the Fifth rather than answer the American people,if Republicans don’t fight this tooth and nail, they will have hell to pay.
