Actor James Woods called Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani being elected Mayor of New York City “the most dangerous event” in modern American history, andwarned that the United States is at risk of a “Muslim invasion.”

“I think the election of Mamdani was the most dangerous event to happen in the country” in modern history, Woods told conservative commentator Benny Johnson during a Monday appearance on his The Benny Show podcast.

“Look, I think America is the greatest human endeavor in the history of human kind — I think it’s in terrible trouble,” the Casino actor continued.

“The city where the World Trade Center was and the people in it were slaughtered, destroyed — how you could ever allow this Muslim invasion and cancer?” Woods asked.

“And [people] say, ‘Well, what are you? Are you prejudice?’ Well, yes. I’m sorry to say it,” he added.

Woods then told reporters watching the show that if they decide to quote his last remark, to clarify that what the actor means is:“I’m prejudiced against a religion — that’s really a political jihad — that actually has, in its revered text, that you will kill every non-believer.”

“I’m a Catholic. I believe certain things. I don’t think certain other religions share my view, but they have a right to do it, this is America. And I’d say you have a right to do it anyway,” the Vampires star continued.

“But you don’t have a right to practice something where part of — I’m not going to sign up for ‘Team Muslim’ or ‘Team Islam,’ when Team Islam says, ‘Oh, and by the way, we want to kill every one of you who’s not us.’ Now you got a problem,” Woods added.

The Salvador star then offered an ominous prediction for what could transpire in the United States.

“They’re going to outbreed us and kill us, and it’s gonna be done,” Woods said, before noting that “they’re doing it in other places.”

“Christians in Sudan and other places, they’re being slaughtered — they’re being eradicated,” he said.

“What’s going to happen on September 11? Is Mamdani gonna go speak at the World Trade Center site?” Woods asked with incredulous laughter, at which point Johnson pointed out that some of the 9/11 families have been “asking him not to.”

Notably, this year’s anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks will mark 25 years since nearly 3,000 people lost their lives in the greatest foreign attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor, on December 7, 1941.

Fauci gave off ‘signals of deception’ during Senate hearing, body language expert says

Dr. Anthony Fauci’s demeanor gave off “signals of deception” during Wednesday’s Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing, a renowned body language expert told The Post.

“When he wasasked poignant questions, his autonomic nervous system took over, and he became flushed, his breathing changed, hunched over, paler, squirmed around, blinked a lot [and] licked his lips — all signals of deception,” Florida-based Dr. Lillian Glass wrote in an email.

Glass added that Fauci’sbody language changed significantly at certain points of the hearing, shifting from confident and arrogant to “guarded” and “weak.”

“During Senator [Josh] Hawley’s questioning, Dr. Fauci’s shoulders rose again, and he squirmed visibly,” she noted. “His face became red. His voice weakened further and sounded increasingly shaky.He appeared emotionally strained and at moments looked as though he might cry.”

Hawley, the former state attorney general of Missouri, accused Fauci of using taxpayer resources to pursue cash prizes for himself, including coveted recognition like the Dan David Award, the Adelson Prize, and awards from the Smithsonian Institution, the National Academy of Medicine, and more.

The Missouri Republican also trolled and taunted Fauci over his decision to plead the Fifth, peppering him with softball questions such as asking about his tie and the color of the carpet, all of which the former White House COVID-19 czar declined to answer.

At one point, Hawley had cited Supreme Court precedent to argue that Fauci doesn’t “have any rights under the Fifth Amendment because you’ve been pardoned.”

But perhaps Fauci’s most famous clash of the hearing came from Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio), who dropped multiple f-bombs while scolding him.

“During Senator Moreno’s questioning, Dr.Fauci’s face became flushed and red,” Glass recapped. “He looked downward and appeared unable or unwilling to look directly at the people behind him. He swallowed hard,continued manipulating his pen, and squirmed more noticeably in his chair.”

“His breathing appeared heavier,” she observed. “His voice became much softer and weaker. By this point, he sounded meek and increasingly difficult to hear.”

Glass has been an expert witness in federal as well as state courts on behavioral analysis and touts over four decades of experience. She has experience studying instances where individuals have refused to speak and stressed that in those circumstances, “the body continues to communicate.”

Fauci invoked his Fifth Amendment rights some 111 times throughout the hearing.

The only window into his mindset during the questioning came from his opening statement when he laced into Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and underscored how the senator once called for him to be arrested.

“At the beginning, he appeared confident and sat upright. His tone then became more arrogant and defensive when he accused Senator Rand Paul of being out to get him and said that Senator Paul had made slanderous comments and publicly released his personal diary to embarrass him,” Glass assessed.

“When the questioning became less confrontational, andDr. Fauci was being defended, his body appeared more settled. His posture looked less tense, and his breathing appeared steadier.”

Todd Blanche won’t get Thursday vote in Senate Judiciary Committee

The panel postponed a planned meeting as key GOP holdouts press for concessions.

The Senate Judiciary Committee has abandoned plans to advance Todd Blanche’s nomination as attorney general Thursday, asignificant speed bump that will make it difficult for Republicans to confirm him before the chamber begins its August recess next week.

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) held firm Wednesday in his demand thatBlanche revise a controversial settlement agreement between President Donald Trump and the IRS.

Cornyn, who was defeated for renomination earlier this year by a Trump-backed primary challenger, was explicit on the legal language he needed from Blanche — even providing the Justice Department with a revision to the agreement that would address his concerns — but an agreement could not be reached in time to have the Thursday morning vote.

“We actually sent them a red-line strikeout of what we need, and they just need to make a decision,” Cornyn said earlier Wednesday,adding that he was “trying to make it easy for them.”

Just one GOP “no” vote on the Senate Judiciary Committee would effectively sink Blanche’s nomination. Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), another member of the panel with concerns about the settlement, said he would follow Cornyn’s lead.

Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), along with Tillis, met late afternoon in Cornyn’s office to hammer out the issues on Blanche, but with no resolution.

“We made it clear that we need the language to move forward with the markup,” Tillis said of the meeting.

The vote could still be rescheduled if Cornyn and Tillis are satisfied, though it might not happen in time to get Blanche across the floor before the recess begins at the end of next week.

A DOJ official granted anonymity to describe the negotiations said the department sent “new language” to the two senators and remains “in discussion” with them.

A spokesperson for Grassley, who declined to be named, also said the discussions continue.

“Chairman Grassley works to set President Trump’s nominees up for success in committee, not failure,” the person said. “Tomorrow’s markup is postponed as work continues to secure sufficient support in committee to favorably report [Blanche], who is highly qualified for the job.”

His answer:It made things WORSE.

BURNETT: "112 times to invoke the Fifth Amendment. I mean, you can't even string all that together… Will that strategy work? Because he says, well, 'I had to do that because, you know, they're looking for perjury traps,' or does that just make it worse and is he in real trouble?"

GOODMAN: "I think it makes it worse. It's even a curious way in which you wonder what his legal advice was, why they decided to do that. Because he does not face criminal jeopardy for the pardon. In all likelihood, he's pardoned for all actions before January 2025. But that also means that you're forced to testify."

"That's how prosecutors use immunity or pardons. And they say now you're forced to testify because you don't have any criminal liability… So then to plead the Fifth is actually he could then be held in contempt. There could be theoretically, at least, a Justice Department that goes after him for not answering when he is not really facing that criminal charge."

BURNETT: "And also when the reason [to plead the Fifth] is perjury traps… to the layperson, it's saying, well, 'Why wouldn't you just say the truth? What would be the problem in that?' So… it doesn't sound good."

I asked John Burklow to call up Bill Hall and find out what the heck is going on and what the reason for all of this is. John told me that CDC complained to Bill Hall and HHS that I was getting all of the publicity on an issue (influenza "tracking") that they considered was their issue I do not know who at CDC did this. It could be anyone from Tom Frieden (I doubt this) to more likely Tom Skinner (CDC PR person). In any event, it has nothing to do with my use of the word "epidemic" on Wolf Blitzer Show and everything to do with pure lealousy that am a "rock star stealing their thunder. Shaon the CDC.
