Police Came to My House Because I Spoke About Beagles

Two police officers arrived at my home after Britain's largest breeder of beagles for laboratory research complained about one of my Instagram videos.

I was accused of an offence under the Online Safety Act 2023 and invited to accept a Community Resolution that would have required me to admit responsibility for a criminal offence.

I refused.

Why?

Because everything I said was based on evidence I genuinely believed to be true. I had a Stericycle hazardous waste consignment note, corroborating information and Home Office correspondence relating to the disposal of animal anatomical waste. I believed I was speaking honestly about a matter of significant public interest.

After my solicitor challenged the allegation, Cambridgeshire Police took no further action and closed the investigation.

But this story is about far more than me.

This video exposes the reality behind Britain's laboratory beagle industry, including procedures such as terminal blood collection, where dogs are placed under terminal anaesthesia before blood is collected and the animal is killed. It asks difficult questions about animal testing, transparency and whether campaigners should fear police involvement simply for raising concerns about animal welfare.
