Has anyone actually the Fakaria "Post American world"? I did. It promoted the idea that American power "just wasn't going to be the same" because "other powers were rising". What he failed to address is the fact that a nation doesn't just give power away quietly. ESPECIALLY when it is very very great power. Which is exactly what has happened in the last few decades. The last thirty years have been UNNATURAL. The facts of POWER show this. There was more power in the hands of American leaders than anyone anywhere has ever had. And thus more temptation to corruption. The fact that nothing really seemed to happen except these weird, uneasy wars is a very very clear sign that something was happening behind the scenes.
