The pilot called it in on his Satellite phone that they were all alive some with injuries. He gave their location then the phone cut out.
They even had the signal from the plane to track but apparently the cloud cover was THAT bad they were basically flying over them but the clouds were too thick.
Fuck me man. Can you imagine? You survive a plane crash, you know the call for help was received, they probably HEARD the planes above them too. But they still died.
The phone cut out before he could tell them more details about the passengers.
Maybe it was a case of that one head strong person who doesn't think staying in one spot is a good idea so he insisted he try to go & find help.
