Curious Cometary Knots in the Helix Nebula
What causes unusual knots of gas and dust in planetary nebulas? Seen also in the Ring Nebula, the Dumbbell Nebula and NGC 2392, the knots' existence was not initially predicted, and their origins are still not well understood. Pictured here is a fascinating image of part of the Helix Nebula by the James Webb Space Telescope showing tremendous detail in infrared light. The cometary knots have masses similar to the Earth but have sizes typically several times the orbit of Pluto. One hypothesis for the fragmentation and evolution of the knots includes existing gas being driven out by a less dense but highly energetic stellar wind of the central evolving star. The Helix Nebula is one of the closest examples of a planetary nebula created at the end of the life of a Sun-like star. Given a technical designation of NGC 7293, the Helix Nebula lies about 650 light-years away towards the constellation of Water Carrier (Aquarius).

'Doomsday' fears explode as three chilling cosmic events collide on same day next week

Apocalypse fears have swept social media as three spectacular celestial events are set to unfold within hours of each other on one day next week.
Social media has erupted with dramatic "doomsday" predictions after three major astronomical events are set to unfold within hours of each other on August 12.
A total solar eclipse, the peak of the Perseid meteor shower and a six-planet parade will all take place on the same day, creating what many online users have dubbed the universe's "triple feature."
The unusual timing has fuelled a wave of speculation across social media, with some claiming the celestial line-up could signal everything from the Rapture to a fictional zombie apocalypse.
"That's literally doomsday," one user wrote, while another joked: "If y'all hear trumpets, mind your business."
Others quipped that the universe was about to "initiate a soft reboot" and that "astronomy got a season finale."
Despite the online frenzy, there is no scientific evidence linking the three events or suggesting they are a sign of any impending catastrophe. Their appearance on the same date is simply a coincidence, scientists insist.
The total solar eclipse will cast parts of Greenland, Iceland, Spain and Portugal into temporary darkness, while observers across some parts of the United States will experience a partial eclipse, reports the Daily Mail.
Later that night, the Perseid meteor shower will reach its annual peak beneath dark, moonless skies as Mercury, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune appear together in a broad planetary parade.
A total solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly between the Earth and the Sun, completely blocking the Sun's face for people within the narrow path of totality and briefly turning day into darkness.
Western Iceland and northern Spain are expected to provide the best views, with Látrabjarg in Iceland forecast to experience the longest period of totality.
Spain could prove the more popular destination because the eclipse crosses a larger land area and August weather is typically warmer. Bilbao, Valencia, Zaragoza and Palma all lie within the path of totality.
Across North America, viewers will instead witness a partial eclipse, with coverage ranging from around nine percent in New York City to roughly 53 percent in St John's, Newfoundland.
Once darkness falls, attention will turn to the Perseid meteor shower, which is expected to peak overnight between August 12 and August 13.
The highest activity is forecast during the hours before dawn, when up to 100 meteors per hour could be visible under clear skies.
A new moon will provide ideal viewing conditions by eliminating bright moonlight, although the meteor shower itself will remain active until August 24.
Astronomers say the best viewing time will be from around 11pm local time through to dawn.
Completing the celestial line-up will be a six-planet parade, during which Mercury, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune will appear spread across the pre-dawn sky.
Mars and Saturn should be visible without optical equipment, while Mercury and Jupiter will be harder to spot because they will sit low above the eastern horizon shortly before sunrise.
Binoculars will likely be needed to observe Uranus, while Neptune will require a telescope.
Across much of the Northern Hemisphere, the ideal viewing window is expected to be between 30 and 60 minutes before sunrise, although local weather conditions and a clear horizon will play a major role.
Although astronomers say the three events are unrelated, that has done little to stop speculation online.
"This sounds like the intro to a disaster movie," one X user posted.
Another wrote: "Well, the ancient Mayans would interpret an eclipse, star alignment, and meteor showers as apocalyptic omens.
"So maybe a massive war, massive crop failure, or the wrath of god. Good luck, everyone!!"

Spacewalk Preps, Health Research on Station as NASA Introduces SpaceX Crew-13

Spacewalk preparations and health research awaited the Expedition 75 crew aboard the International Space Station at the beginning of August.
The next crew to visit the orbital outpost, NASA’s SpaceX Crew-13, introduced themselves today during a news conference from Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
Station commander Jessica Meir and flight engineer Anil Menon, both from NASA, continued reviewing the procedures planned for a spacewalk scheduled to begin at 8:35 a.m. EDT on Thursday.
The duo also configured the tools and supplies they will use to build the platform upon which a roll out solar array will be installed later this year. NASA+ and a variety of other platforms will stream live spacewalk coverage beginning at 7 a.m.
Flight engineers Jack Hathaway of NASA and Sophie Adenot of ESA (European Space Agency) joined the duo for the spacewalk procedure reviews and practiced installing emergency jetpacks on the spacesuits.
The jetpacks, officially known as Simplified Aid for EVA Rescue, or SAFER, can be operated by a spacewalker to maneuver back to the station in the unlikely event they became untethered from the space station.
Hathaway began his shift inside the Kibo laboratory module removing hardware that supported a pair of technology studies to demonstrate advanced computing and imaging in the vacuum of space.
Afterward, Hathaway tested rope pulling and resistive exercises on the new European Enhanced Exploration Exercise Device (E4D) installed in the Columbus laboratory module.
The E4D is optimized for working out in microgravity and is being evaluated for use on future space exploration missions.
Adenot tried on the EasyMotion-2 workout suit that sends electrical impulses and triggers muscle contractions to supplement her jogging session on the COLBERT treadmill in the Tranquility module.
Afterward, Adenot configurated components inside the advanced resistive exercise device that mimics the forces of free weights on Earth to maintain muscle and bone health in microgravity.
Roscosmos flight engineers Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina took turns wearing a set of arm, wrist, and finger cuffs measuring their blood pressure to track how weightlessness affects the circulatory system.
Afterward, the duo took a computerized hearing test in the Quest airlock to check for hearing changes that may occur in the operational environment of the station.
Roscosmos flight engineer Andrey Fedyaev kicked off his shift checking out communications and electronics hardware. Fedyaev wrapped up his day testing artificial intelligence tools to boost crew efficiency.
The four SpaceX Crew-13 members, the next crew to visit the space station, introduced themselves today from NASA’s Johnson Space Center and discussed their upcoming mission planned to launch no earlier than Sept. 12 aboard a Dragon spacecraft.
Commander Jessica Watkins of NASA mentioned she is looking forward to returning to the station and “flying on Dragon on a second time.” Watkins will lead first-time space flyers Pilot Luke Delaney of NASA and Mission Specialists Joshua Kutryk of CSA (Canadian Space Agency) and Sergey Teteryatnikov of Roscosmos when they join the Expedition 75 crew aboard the orbital outpost.

Nathan Vassberg To Head Office of Safety and Mission Assurance

Amit Kshatriya Just issued this memo: NASA Team Members, I am pleased to announce that Nathan Vassberg has been selected to serve as NASA’s chief of the Office of Safety and Mission Assurance (OSMA).
Nathan has served as acting chief since December 2025, demonstrating the steady leadership, sound judgment, and deep expertise needed to lead OSMA. His extensive understanding of mission assurance and safety across the agency makes him exceptionally well qualified for this role.
Nathan is a NASA veteran, who began his career at Johnson Space Center in 1995 as the International Space Station (ISS) safety lead and international partner liaison.
Over the past three decades, he has held various positions of increasing responsibility, including serving for 15 years as chair of the ISS Safety Review Panel, the final five years of which he also chaired the ISS Payload Safety Review Panel.
He served as ISS Safety Manager from 2012 to 2013 before becoming Chief Safety and Mission Assurance Officer for NASA’s Commercial Crew Program, where he served from 2014 to 2021.
From 2021 to 2023, Nathan served as deputy director of Safety and Mission Assurance at Johnson Space Center.
Most recently, as Safety and Mission Assurance director for the Moon to Mars Program Office, where he led the integrated safety and mission assurance efforts across the agency’s six Moon to Mars programs.
Nathan’s experience and unwavering commitment to mission success will continue to strengthen NASA as we continue to achieve our nation’s space policy.

NASA Chief Jared Isaacman Outlines Plan To Rebuild Agency, Reduce Outsourcing

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman has outlined plans to rebuild the agency's workforce, reduce reliance on outsourced staffing and redirect resources toward national space priorities.
In a post on X, Isaacman said NASA is refocusing on technical excellence, engineering capability and mission delivery while pausing programs that are not on a path to success.
NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman has outlined a broad vision for reshaping the US space agency, saying NASA will rebuild its in-house workforce, reduce dependence on outsourced staffing and redirect resources toward national space priorities.
In a post on X, Jared Isaacman said the agency is returning to an approach centered on technical excellence, engineering capability and mission execution, while moving away from programs that have struggled to deliver results.
The remarks build on a series of workforce and organisational initiatives announced since Isaacman took office, including efforts to strengthen NASA's core competencies, streamline operations and align investments with the administration's national space policy. NASA has also outlined plans to increase mission cadence, expand lunar exploration and support long-term goals for Mars exploration and a growing commercial space economy.
NASA Will Restore Core Competencies and Accelerate Space Goals
In his statement, Isaacman said NASA's global reputation was built through ambitious achievements and argued that the agency had, at times, moved away from the pace that defined earlier programs such as Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and the Space Shuttle.
"The NASA logo is recognizable around the world because of the near-impossible feats we have accomplished and all we are still capable of achieving. NASA’s Curiosity Rover Discovers Vast Field of Honeycomb-Like Textures on Mars (See Pics).
In some years past, we became comfortable moving at a different pace, one inconsistent with Mercury, Gemini, Apollo or Shuttle.
We started outsourcing capabilities that should be essential to any organization built around technical, operational and engineering excellence."
He added that efforts to satisfy multiple priorities often delayed projects and increased costs.
"For a period of time, we tried to make everyone happy. In most cases, that means no one is happy, because the headlines the interested public was waiting to read took far too long, cost way too much and, in many cases, were never realized at all."
Workforce Rebuilding and Program Changes
Isaacman praised NASA employees and said the agency is working to restore the culture that enabled many of its historic accomplishments.
"The best and brightest across NASA show up to work each day looking to change the world, and that meant dusting off the playbook from decades past and getting after it."
He said NASA is increasing its in-house capabilities while reassessing projects that are not meeting expectations. "We are rebuilding the workforce after a level of outsourced staffing that was indefensible.
We are pausing and pivoting away from programs that were not on a path to success, freeing up billions of dollars in resources, and refocusing on the President’s national space policy and the objectives outlined through Ignition, including the missions no other agency, company or even nation is capable of achieving. And we are off to a good start."
Isaacman concluded by saying the agency intends to follow the approach that previously led to many of NASA's landmark achievements. "This is how NASA made the history that inspired so many of us, and this is how we will do it again."
The comments are consistent with NASA's recently announced strategy to strengthen internal engineering expertise, reduce reliance on contractors for core functions where appropriate and concentrate funding on high-priority exploration programs.
Agency leadership has said the changes are intended to improve efficiency, accelerate mission delivery and support long-term objectives, including sustained lunar exploration, future Mars missions and commercial partnerships.

A 9,000-pound SpaceX rocket will crash into the moon tonight. Will you be able to see it?

A discarded SpaceX Falcon 9 upper stage is on a collision course with the moon, and skywatchers may be wondering whether they'll be able to witness the rare event firsthand when it slams into the lunar surface early Wednesday morning (Aug. 5).
The 45-foot-long (13.8-meter), 8,000-pound (4,000-kilogram) rocket stage, left over from the January 2025 launch of Firefly Aerospace's Blue Ghost and ispace's Hakuto-R lunar missions, is expected to strike the moon at about 2:35 a.m. EDT (0635 UTC) on Aug. 5.
Traveling at roughly 5,400 mph (8,700 km/h), the impact will occur near the moon's western limb, close to Einstein Crater on the moon's Earth-facing side.
While the collision itself is unlikely to be visible from Earth, observers may have a chance to spot what's known as an ejecta plume rising above the lunar surface. Depending on the force of the impact, debris could be blasted high enough above the moon to stand out against the blackness of space, making it briefly visible to observers on Earth, according to Project Pluto. "Maybe we'll see the flash. Maybe we'll see rocks ejected from the crater.
Maybe we'll even see both," astronomer Bill Gray, who first identified the rocket stage's eventual lunar collision, wrote on his Project Pluto website.
The rocket is expected to strike a sunlit portion of the moon near its edge as seen from Earth. Any flash from the impact itself is expected to be washed out by the bright lunar surface.
However, material blasted high above the lunar horizon could briefly become visible against the darkness of space, creating a faint plume that advanced amateur astronomers may be able to capture with sufficiently large telescopes and cameras.
Recent simulations suggest the central ejecta plume could climb as high as 60 miles (100 kilometers), though whether it will be detectable from Earth remains uncertain.
Even if conditions cooperate, viewing won't be ideal for much of North America.
At the time of impact, the moon will sit only about 40 degrees above the southeastern horizon for observers along the U.S. East Coast, giving skywatchers a relatively low viewing angle before dawn.
Observers in parts of South America may have more favorable viewing conditions, with the moon higher in the sky during the event, according to Project Pluto.
Regardless of whether the impact can be seen from Earth, several spacecraft will be watching from much closer vantage points.
South Korea's Danuri lunar orbiter is expected to observe the impact in real time, offering a unique view from lunar orbit.
Meanwhile, NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) will photograph the impact site before and after the collision, allowing researchers to measure the newly formed crater and compare it with other human-made impacts on the moon.
Whether or not the ejecta plume is spotted from Earth, researchers say the accidental crash represents a valuable scientific opportunity.
Unlike natural meteoroids, the hollow aluminum rocket stage will strike the moon with well-known size, mass and velocity, giving scientists a rare chance to test models of how impacts excavate lunar material and create craters.
The observations could also help researchers better understand the hazards posed by space debris as both crewed and robotic missions to the moon become increasingly common, if all goes according to plan.

Leadership carried forward: STARCOM marks change of responsibility

Space Training and Readiness Command bid farewell to Chief Master Sgt. Karmann-Monique Pogue and welcomed Chief Master Sgt. Jason Childers in a change of responsibility ceremony Aug. 3 at The Tides on Patrick Space Force Base.
A change of responsibility is a military ceremony where the outgoing senior enlisted leader formally transfers responsibility to the incoming senior enlisted leader, symbolized by the passing of custodianship of the unit’s colors.
“For a command senior enlisted leader, that responsibility is especially personal,” Maj. Gen. James E. Smith, commander of STARCOM, said.
"The CSEL is the voice of the force, an advisor to the commander, an advocate for Guardians, Airmen, civilians and families, and a leader who must see the command from the strategic level without ever losing sight of the individual Guardian doing the work.
Chief Pogue has carried that responsibility with professionalism, strength and purpose.”
During Pogue’s two and a half years at STARCOM, she helped cement the Guardian Training Leader program, codify the Space Force Military Training Instructor pledge, stand up the Basic Military Training course, establish and launch the Space Force’s only Enlisted Professional Military Education center, and bring the Guardian Values Statement to initial training environments. She also implemented six directions from the chief of space operations that created service-level courses, ensuring the development of more than 15,000 combat-credible Guardians.
“When I think about what I am most proud of from my time as STARCOM’s CSEL, it is not any single accomplishment,” Pogue said. “It is the impact we have had on people and on the institution.
“I had the privilege of serving during a formative period for STARCOM and for the Space Force,” she continued. “And I am proud that we helped build things that will outlast any one of us. … As Taylor Swift said, ‘Long live all the magic we made.’ That is how I will remember this chapter.”
Pogue will move to work on a special project on behalf of the vice chief of space operations in partnership with Brig. Gen. Dave Yates.
“Chief Pogue, thank you for your leadership, your counsel, your candor and your commitment to our Guardians,” Smith said. “Thank you for helping this command navigate a consequential chapter in its history. Thank you for leaving STARCOM stronger than you found it.”
Childers comes to STARCOM having served as the command senior enlisted leader for U.S. Space Forces – Indo-Pacific, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, where he partook the command’s first-ever change of responsibility ceremony in July 2024.
Prior to transferring to the Space Force in 2020, he served in a variety of roles, including as an aircraft electrical and environmental systems technician and in space systems operations in the Air Force.

At least five people have been killed and ten others wounded in an overnight Ukrainian drone strike in Moscow Region, local governor Andrey Vorobyev has said.
The strike comes as Kiev has intensified long-range attacks on Russian civilian infrastructure. On Monday, a Ukrainian drone struck a crowded beach in the Black Sea resort city of Gelendzhik, killing at least seven people, including three children, and wounding dozens more.
In a post on Telegram on Tuesday morning, Vorobyev said air defenses in the region had repelled another Ukrainian drone raid.
An industrial area in the village of Novoselki near the town of Chekhov, located some 74 km south of Moscow, was affected the most as a result of the attack, he added.
“Sadly, there have been fatalities and injuries… I extend my sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased,” Vorobyev wrote.
One of the wounded remains in serious condition, with doctors describing the injuries of seven others as moderate, the governor said. Two more people declined hospitalization after being examined by doctors, he added.
The victims sustained shrapnel and blast injuries, fractures, and soft-tissue and chest wounds, Vorobyev wrote.
Fires broke out at several locations in the industrial zone, including at a warehouse, while a power substation and an administrative building were also damaged by drone debris, the governor added.
In the village of Solnyshkovo, a drone damaged a private home and a vehicle, the governor said. No one was injured, he added.
Air defenses also intercepted incoming UAVs in several other parts of Moscow Region, according to the governor.
The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday morning that 320 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones had been destroyed inside Russia in the previous 12 hours. The interceptions took place in more than a dozen regions as well as in Crimea.
A total of 49 civilians have been killed and more than 340 others wounded in Ukrainian attacks inside Russia over the past week, Russian Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik said on Tuesday.
The majority of the victims – 95% – were hit by drones, he stressed. It’s not clear if the figures included the fatalities and injuries from the strike in Novoselki.
The Russian authorities have decried Kiev’s drone raids as terrorist attacks deliberately targeting civilians.
One of the deadliest incidents in recent months happened in May, when several waves of Ukrainian UAVs struck a student dormitory in the Donbass town of Starobelsk, partially collapsing the five-story building and killing 21 people, mainly teenage girls.
Russia has responded to the raids by stepping up its long-range missile and drone strikes on Ukraine’s military-industrial and logistical infrastructure. Moscow maintains that it never targets civilians, only military sites and infrastructure supporting Kiev’s forces.

Zelensky Says Russians Are Carrying Out a Drone ‘Safari’ Against Civilians in Kherson After Video of an Attack Spread Online

Stephen Silver reports that Kyiv has accused Russia of a war crime after video from Kherson circulated online, with Zelensky describing a drone ‘safari’ against civilians.
Ukraine is also preparing what the Sunday Times calls the first trial of Russian officials for crimes against humanity, to be held in absentia while the war continues.
Ukraine has accused Russia of a war crime after video emerged of a drone chasing down and ultimately wounding a street vendor.
According to Reuters, the incident took place in Kherson, a city in Southern Ukraine. Reuters confirmed the location of the attack, noting that buildings, vegetation and the road layout “matched satellite and archive imagery” of that location.
Video of the incident, which was widely distributed on social media, shows the man in his 50s running away from the drone and, eventually, an explosion. The man survived, but suffered shock and shrapnel injuries, the Reuters report said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed outrage in a social media post.
“Today, many were shocked by yet another video of the drone ‘safari’ Russians are carrying out against civilians in Kherson,” Zelensky said on X.
Ukraine’s police and Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha went on to denounce the attack as a “barbaric Russian war crime” and demanded international condemnation of it, while noting that “thousands of similar crimes never come to the public eye.”
The operator of that drone, the foreign minister argued, must have known that it was chasing a civilian.

Is There Justice for “War Crimes” in This War?
The U.N. Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, as cited by Reuters, counted 1,396 civilian deaths and 7,978 injuries in the first six months of this year, a 37 percent increase over 2025 and a doubling of the figures from 2024.
The increase has been attributed to “intensifying Russian long-range missile and drone strikes,” which have extended further beyond the front lines.
In April of 2022, just weeks after the start of the war, the Council on Foreign Relations was already sounding the alarm about war crimes by Russia in the war, and asking whether Russian leaders could ever be tried for such crimes.
Beyond individual killings, the CFR analysis referenced the Russian invasion itself, which it said: “constitutes the crime of aggression under international law,” along the lines of charges filed against both the leaders of Nazi Germany at the Nuremberg trials and those of Japan in the Tokyo war crimes trials.
In March of 2023, a bit over a year into the war, the International Criminal Court issued warrants for both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova, the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in Putin’s office.
Both were accused of the “war crime of unlawful deportation of population (children) and that of unlawful transfer of population (children) from occupied areas of Ukraine to the Russian Federation.”
The warrant on Putin was the first ever issued for a sitting leader of a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council. In 2024, additional warrants were issued for several Russian military officers.
However, at least in part because Russia does not recognize the International Criminal Court’s jurisdiction, the warrants were never served, and no trial has taken place for Putin or any of the other officials.
A War Crimes Trial
However, Ukraine is preparing for one such trial that accuses Russians of drone-related crimes against humanity.
According to the Sunday Times, Ukraine, with some British legal help, is planning the first-ever trial of Russian officials for crimes against humanity, for “the alleged systematic use of drones to kill civilians,” in a way similar to the attack this week in Kherson.
Ukraine had previously brought charges against 912 Russians for different war crimes in recent years, the Times said, but this is the first trial in this war to allege crimes against humanity.
The Russians will be tried in absentia, in a rare war crimes trial to take place without the war being over. Ukrainian lawyers have been appointed to represent the Russian defendants.
One aim of the trial, the Times article said, is to collect legal documents and evidence and eventually pass them on to a body such as the International Criminal Court.
“If there are successful prosecutions in Ukraine, using sustainable evidence and a proper application of the law, it will spread to other territories,” Sir Howard Morrison, a former British judge at the ICC and a participant in the prosecutions, told the Times.
Kherson, where the attack took place this week, has been described as the “worst-hit area” in Ukraine.

The dramatic rundown in precision, long-range missiles means US President Donald Trump may have to rely more on riskier, piloted bombing missions if he relaunches large-scale attacks on Iran.
The US Army has used up much of its stockpile of highly accurate long-range missiles during its five-month war with Iran, according to three people familiar with the data, raising concerns about the military's readiness for future conflicts.
The missiles are principally the Army's surface-to-surface weapons, known as Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) and Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM). The US has used "virtually all" of these weapons, according to two of the sources.

Liberia-flagged dry bulk ship Minoan Pioneer was hit by an unknown projectile close to Oman’s coast while sailing through the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday, with the crew abandoning the vessel and one seafarer missing, maritime security sources said.
"The projectile reportedly struck the engine room, while a fire broke out in the accommodation area. The crew are fighting the fire and require assistance, while the third engineer is reported missing," British maritime risk management group Vanguard said separately.
The vessel’s Greece-based operator, Modion Maritime Management, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Snowden Documents Proving “US-Alien-Hitler” Link Stuns Russia

A stunning Federal Security Services (FSB) report on the nearly two million highly classified top-secret documents obtained from the United States Department of Defense (DOD) run National Security Agency-Central Security Service (NSA/CSS) by the American ex-patriot Edward Snowden states that this information is providing “incontrovertible proof” that an “alien/extraterrestrial intelligence agenda” is driving US domestic and international policy, and has been doing so since at least 1945.
Edward Snowden is a computer specialist, a former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) employee, and former NSA/CSS contractor who disclosed these classified documents to several media outlets in late 2012 and was granted temporary asylum in Russia in 2013 after his designation by the Obama regime as the “most wanted man on earth.”
This FSB report further states that Snowden, in December, 2012, contacted the highly respected American columnist, blogger, and author Glenn Greenwald by an email headed with the subject line stating, “I and others have things you would be interested in.?.?.?.”
In Snowden’s own words, this report continues, he outlined to Greenwald the reason for his highly secretive group obtaining and releasing these documents by warning that that there “were actually two governments in the US: the one that was elected, and the other, secret regime, governing in the dark.”
As to who is running this “secret regime” Snowden and his cohorts were warning about, FSB experts in this report say, was confirmed this past weekend by former Canadian defense minister Paul Hellyer who was given access to all of Snowden’s documents by Russian intelligence services and stated they were, indeed, “accurate.”

Even though Defense Minister Hellyer’s exact statements to the FSB in regards to Snowden’s documents remain classified, shortly after his “extensive electronic interview” by the FSB he was allowed to appear on Russia Today’s program SophieCo this past fortnight [see video HERE] where he shockingly admitted that aliens have “been visiting our planet for thousands of years” and described several types of these extraterrestrials, including “Tall Whites” who are working with the US Air Force in Nevada.
Of the many explosive revelations in this FSB report, the one most concerning to Russian authorities are the Snowden’s documents “confirming” that the “Tall Whites” (further revealed by Defense Minister Hellyer as noted above) are the same extraterrestrial alien race behind the stunning rise of Nazi Germany during the 1930’s.
In just one example of the many outlined in this FSB report, it shows that with this “alien assistance,” at the end of the 1930’s, when Nazi Germany possessed just 57 submarines, over the four years of World War II it built 1,163 modern technologically advanced submarines at its dockyards and even put them into operation.
Snowden’s documents further confirm, this report says, the “Tall Whites” (Nordic) meetings in 1954 with US President Dwight D. Eisenhower where the “secret regime” currently ruling over America was established.
Most disturbingly, this FSB report warns, is that the “Tall White” agenda being implemented by the “secret regime” ruling the United States calls for the creation of a global electronic surveillance system meant to hide all true information about their presence here on earth as they enter into what one of Snowden’s documents calls the “final phase” of their end plan for total assimilation and world rule.
Unbeknownst to the FSB, this report confirms, are those still in the US government backing Snowden, but whose presence Russian intelligence experts note is “unmistakable” and shows a cataclysmic power struggle is currently underway against this “secret regime” now headed by Obama by “forces unknown.”
Most to be feared by Russian policy makers and authorities, this report concludes, is if those opposing the “Tall White” “secret regime” ruled over by Obama have themselves aligned with another alien-extraterrestrial power themselves.

The Uruguayan Air Force continues to strengthen international cooperation in aerospace research
Through the Commission for the Reception and Investigation of Complaints of Unidentified Flying Objects (CRIDOVNI), the FAU held working meetings and technical workshops with the Office of Resolution of All Domain Anomalies (AARO) of the United States Department of War, with the aim of exchanging experiences and strengthening research capacities on unidentified anomalous phenomena (FANIs).
During the meeting, scientific methodologies for the analysis of cases, the exchange of procedures aimed at ruling out conventional phenomena and the evaluation of future technological and logistical support tools that contribute to optimizing the investigation capabilities of the Uruguayan Air Force were addressed.
Likewise, progress was made in the projection of Uruguay as a possible venue for an upcoming South American regional workshop, aimed at the standardization of data collection and analysis processes, promoting international cooperation and the strengthening of air safety.
With these exchange instances, the Uruguayan Air Force reaffirms its commitment to scientific research, international cooperation and the development of capabilities that contribute to the surveillance and protection of our sovereign airspace.

🚨UKRAINIAN ASTRONOMERS CLAIM THE MOON MAY BE A UFO BASE
A new paper from researchers at Ukraine's Main Astronomical Observatory claims high speed telescope footage captured more than 20 unidentified objects near and apparently moving across the Moon.
The authors divide them into two groups of stationary objects that flash in repeating patterns, and larger disc or toroidal objects that appear to travel over the lunar surface.
Some of the disc shaped objects are said to measure between 25 and 40 km across. The toroidal objects are estimated at roughly 36 km wide, moving at speeds of up to 11 km per second. The researchers also report repeating brightness fluctuations and rotation patterns that they interpret as signs of structured, technological behaviour.
The authors of the paper openly propose that the Moon may serve as a base for UFOs, that such objects could reach Earth in around 20 minutes, and that what we call UAP may be the Earth side manifestation of the same phenomenon.
These conclusions aren't established fact. The distance, size and speed estimates depend heavily on the assumption that the objects were genuinely associated with the Moon rather than foreground objects, atmospheric effects or image processing artifacts.
However the raw footage and methodology deserve serious independent review because if even part of this analysis holds up, we need to know exactly what is moving there.

Good to see video evidence of UFO activity above the Moon, and the likelihood that these come from bases there is getting mainstream scientific attention. The large size of some of the craft (25-40km) suggest these are NHI motherships.
Reverse-engineered space carriers belonging to Solar Warden were just over a mile long in the 1980s, according to William Tompkins. Solar Warden has several Moon bases that are now controlled by US Space Command.

UK government rejects Sauchie's Malcolm Robinson's call for UFO probe

The UK Government has rejected a Sauchie man’s call for an inquiry into “UFO activity” over Scotland.
Paranormal investigator Malcolm Robinson has been campaigning for “greater transparency” on the topic for years, recently pointing to a tranche of files released in the USA.
But in response to his letter to then-prime minister Keir Starmer, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said: “In over 50 years, no sighting reported to the Department has indicated the existence of any military threat to the UK and it is deemed more valuable to prioritise MoD staff towards other defence-related activities.”
It went on to explain that the department ceased to investigate reports of sightings in 2009, but that all files relating to them from before that point are available to view in the National Archives.
The response also stated: “We would however like to reassure you that the UK air defence community continuously monitors UK airspace to maintain a complete ‘recognised air picture’ as part of the national security posture and our commitment to the integrity of NATO airspace, allowing us to deter, track and react if necessary to any credible threats to the UK and its civilians.
“We are aware that the United States (US) has recently disclosed files relating to unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAP) however, the MoD do not comment on US security arrangements, including their handling, disclosure, or publication of related material.
“The MoD has not produced any new material on the investigation or reporting of UFOs or UAPs and has no plans to establish a dedicated team or resume research in this area.”
Mr Robinson has published a long list of books on the subject, along with others such as poltergeists and monsters.
He has documented the fact that for a period in the 1990s, an area of Central Scotland became known as the “Falkirk triangle” due to a large number of mystery objects that were said to have been spotted.
“While it is reassuring that the MoD continually monitors British airspace for threats, their official stance leaves us with two possibilities. Either they are quietly investigating behind closed doors with a dedicated team, or they are simply refusing to follow America's lead in being open with the public,” he said.
“Having petitioned multiple prime ministers over the years demanding answers, it often feels as though no amount of public pressure will shake the tree of power. However, with Andy Burnham now as prime minister, perhaps one final throw of the dice is in order.”
He urged the newly-appointed Labour PM to: “Launch a government inquiry into UFOs over British airspace and, like the US, finally show transparency regarding an enigma that clearly demands answers.”
