Angie's Prime Grille Appreciation Thread

Wanted to post here as they are opening new locations as we speak and most of their existing locations are now fully combined Prime Grille/Lobster.

Wife and I have been using the Pinnacle Peak/19th Ave location for our weekly takeout for a month or so now and incase anyone hasn't tried it yet - it's amazing food at 1/3-2/3rds the price of most every other corporate chain.

It's a breath of fresh air among huge chains that jack prices up for seemingly not reason other than profit. Angie's food is good quality, (relatively) healthy and CHEAP.

I'm originally from New England the lobster is consistent and pretty damn good given the price. It's not the best I've ever had - but it is by far the best $11.99 lobster roll I've ever tried.

The steak, shrimp and chicken are great and portions are generous. Drinks are either included or $1. Breakfast items are shockingly cheap.

Employees at the pinnacle and Thunderbird locations have been nice and my orders have been correct.

To anyone who has yet to try it, give it a shot and say f__k you to Chipotle, McDonalds and the like.

Cheers!

The founders of Salad and Go recently explained why the company has been closing stores, including the latest 32 locations that removed all remaining Texas and Oklahoma City locations.

They shared that after starting the brand in 2013 with a mission to make healthy drive‑thru food affordable, they eventually partnered with investors who later pushed for rapid expansion.

When they no longer agreed on the direction, the founders fully exited in 2021.

From the outside, they watched the company move away from the quality and values they built — removing organics, outsourcing proteins, adding preservatives, and raising prices. Seeing that shift, they created Angie’s Lobster and Angie’s Prime Grill to bring back fresh, premium, affordable food.

They say Angie’s is strong and growing, with around 17 new locations planned for 2026,

Angie's

Today is a bittersweet day for us. Thirteen years ago, we started Salad and Go with a simple belief that great-tasting, good-for-you food should be affordable for everyone. We dreamed that anywhere there was a McDonald's, there would also be a better and healthier alternative that people could afford. Although we exited in 2021, watching the company announce the closing of its remaining locations is heartbreaking. We’re grateful for every team member, customer, supplier and community that believed in our crazy mission.

When we started Angie’s, we didn’t set out to recreate the past. We set out to keep chasing the same dream that inspired us from the beginning - make better food more affordable to everyone. Whether it’s USDA Prime steak, antibiotic-free chicken, fresh-cut salads with organic romaine and seed oil free dressings, wild-caught seafood, premium pizza, or whatever comes next, our mission remains the same.

The best food shouldn’t be reserved for people of a certain income. It should be available to everyone. That’s why every decision we make starts with one question: What do people want to eat and need to eat and how do we make it better AND more affordable?

To everyone who was ever a part of the Salad and Go journey with us, we thank you. To everyone joining us at Angie’s…

We’re just getting started.

If you believe that better food should cost less - not more - we’d love for you to help us prove that this mission still matters. Come visit us at Angie's. Tell your friends. Share our story.

Together, we can build something even bigger than before. The mission was never just about salads. It was always bigger than that. It has always been about making great food affordable for everyone. That is Angie’s — The New Fast Food.
