Conflicting accounts suggest either a Houthi strike or an industrial accident caused the blasts

Several explosions were reportedly heard overnight at the Jebel Ali Free Zone, a major industrial and logistics district in Dubai, the UAE.

Online witness accounts described as many as seven loud blasts over a period of roughly 20 minutes. Videos and photographs purporting to show smoke and fires in the area circulated on social media, alongside reports that ambulances had been dispatched to the scene.

Some media outlets, including Iranian sources, claimed the explosions were caused by an attack launched by the Yemen-based Houthi movement, which is allied with Tehran. Other reports suggested an industrial accident had caused the blasts.

Jebel Ali, located southwest of central Dubai and beside the industrial zone, is home to one of the Middle East’s largest container ports. The area sustained damage earlier in the broader regional conflict that began in late February, when the US and Israel launched a bombing campaign against Iran.

Although the fighting has since subsided, the risk of renewed escalation remains high. On Monday, US President Donald Trump said he was giving Tehran a “last chance before decapitation” to accept a peace agreement on his terms.

The Houthis have for years been involved in a parallel conflict with Saudi Arabia and the UAE over political control of Yemen. Riyadh resumed attacks on Houthi targets last month after reportedly receiving encouragement from Trump.

Indian Government Moves to Seize Christian Churches.

Proposed legislation in India could allow government control over religious organizations receiving funding from overseas, sparking international and domestic backlash.

India’s government is facing criticism over proposed changes to the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA), with opponents saying they could allow authorities to take control of Christian churches and other religious organizations if their FCRA registrations are canceled. The Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill would create a “Designated Authority” to manage foreign-funded assets of organizations that lose their registrations, while requiring that any place of worship retain its religious character.

U.S. Republican Congressman Riley Moore (R-WV) called the proposal a “clear attack against Christians,” warning it could become a major issue in U.S.-India relations if enacted. The legislation would also reduce the maximum penalty for FCRA violations from five years in prison to one year. When many Americans think of Raytheon (now officially rebranded as RTX Corporation), they don’t envisage rockets and cruise missiles; they think of math. For decades, the second-largest arms manufacturer on the planet has bankrolled a wide range of organizations aimed at getting children excited about STEM subjects.

Since 2009, Raytheon has been the title sponsor of MATHCOUNTS, a non-profit organization that provides engaging math programs for middle school students in every U.S. state, as well as organizing math competitions to find the brightest children in America.

In 2005, Raytheon launched its MathMovesU program, aimed, in its own words, “to inspire middle school students to get excited about math and science.” In addition to the materials provided, it has also spent millions on scholarships, grants, and study awards to thousands of students, teachers, and volunteers.

And its MathAlive! traveling exhibit promises, in rather outdated branding, to take math “2theXtreme”. MathAlive! Has also traveled to several countries in West Asia, including Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia – all of them among the biggest purchasers of Raytheon weapons technology.

The company also enjoys a longtime partnership with the Girl Scouts of the United States of America (GSUSA). In 2017, for example, it launched the GSUSA’s first national computer science program and cyber challenge for middle and high school girls.“

The progress to diversify the STEM workforce needs to be accelerated… At a time when technology is transforming the way we live and work, we can – and should – show young women a clear path to taking an active role in this transformation,” said Thomas A. Iranian officials says Tehran has documented a pattern of oil market manipulation tied to Axios reports and Trump administration insiders, including evidence of a $9 billion insider trading operation linked to Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff.

Some of the documented timeline from the $9 billion insider profit:

Between April and May 2026, a series of suspiciously timed trades in oil futures markets preceded major Iran war announcements—each tied to reporting by Axios.

On March 23, approximately $500–580 million in shorts were placed 15 minutes before Trump announced he was postponing strikes on Iran. Oil dropped.

On April 7, roughly $950–960 million in shorts were placed hours before Trump announced a two-week ceasefire with Iran. Oil fell around 15 percent.

On April 17, around $760 million in shorts were placed 20 minutes before Iran’s foreign minister announced the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Oil dropped.

On May 6, nearly $920 million to $1.7 billion in crude oil shorts were placed approximately 70 minutes before an Axios scoop claimed the U.S. and Iran were near a “14-point agreement.” Oil dropped 12 percent. Traders made an estimated $125 million. Iran called the report “the Americans’ wish list.”

Recognizing that the area “has not seen its best days,” with families struggling to buy groceries and fill up their gas tanks, Bell stressed the importance of “coming together” in his victory speech. He also reached out directly to his primary opponents, stressing the “need to start rallying around one another.”

The primary is a déjà vu moment for St. Louis. The same pair of candidates also faced off in the district’s 2024 primary. At the time, the district was represented by Bush.

Bell prevailed that year in a clash that was largely defined by a $9 million influx of AIPAC cash supporting him. In this rematch, Bush made the American Israel Public Affairs Committee a central issue in her campaign, similar to other anti-Israel candidates affiliated with the Democratic Socialists of America.

In response to Tuesday’s election results, AIPAC posted its congratulations to Bell on X: “Our community was proud to support a strong, principled Democratic leader,” the lobby stated.

The Washington, D.C.-based Jewish Democratic Council of America, which had mobilized networks of voters to make phone calls in support of Bell, was quick to congratulate the congressman following his victory.

Preemptive pardons are making Washington look like a criminal syndicate

Nothing says confidence in clean government quite like giving someone a pardon before they’re even charged with a crime.

Think about what a preemptive pardon actually says.

“You are free for whatever you may have done in the past, and the federal government can’t prosecute you for it.”

That used to be an extraordinary constitutional power reserved for extraordinary moments.

Now it feels like it’s becoming standard operating procedure.

On his way out, President Biden issued preemptive pardons covering several family members, along with Anthony Fauci, Gen. Mark Milley, and members and staff of the January 6 committee, arguing they faced the risk of political retaliation.

Months later, President Trump issued preemptive pardons for dozens of people connected to efforts surrounding the 2020 election, including Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows, John Eastman, Sidney Powell, and Jenna Ellis. Earlier, he had also granted broad clemency to more than 1,500 people charged or convicted in connection with January 6.

The legal authority isn’t really the story.

The Constitution gives presidents broad pardon powers, and the Supreme Court recognized long ago in Ex parte Garland that a pardon can apply after an act but before charges are filed.

The story is what this says about Washington.

Both parties now seem to be working from the same assumption.

When power changes hands, protect your own first.

One administration says it’s necessary because the next administration can’t be trusted.

The next administration makes the exact same argument.

Then the cycle gets bigger.

Reports have suggested discussions inside the White House about additional large pardon packages, including ideas tied to the nation’s 250th anniversary. President Trump has also publicly discussed the possibility of extending preemptive pardons to aides before leaving office. Meanwhile, Reuters has reported that much of the second-term clemency process has increasingly bypassed the traditional Justice Department review process in favor of a more direct White House approach.

That should make everyone uncomfortable, regardless of which party they support.

Because once preemptive pardons become routine, they stop looking like rare constitutional safeguards.

They start looking like political insurance policies.

Even more important is what it will be and here are their thoughts on that.

Regarding the outlook for the CPI, risks are skewed to the upside. If we translate that from central banker speech to ordinary language they expect inflation to be over 2% and their response is open mouth operations ” pay due attention to keep such a risk from materializing” rather than raising interest-rates as they should. I pointed out on October 2nd 2023 that their policy would be driven by their balance sheet because each interest-rate increase raises their costs and mean they make bigger losses and even more crucially cannot deny it. I am not sure how I could have been more right about that.

‘Silent extermination’: Israel bombs medicine stores in Gaza, worsening the Strip’s dire healthcare crisis

An Israeli strike destroyed two major medicine warehouses in Deir al-Balah, the latest Israeli attack on Gaza's failing health system. Gaza’s Health Ministry says medicine shortages are now killing three cancer patients a day.

Before dawn on Sunday, August 2, the Israeli military struck a pharmaceutical warehouse adjacent to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, in what Palestinian health officials described as the latest step in a systematic campaign to dismantle Gaza’s healthcare system.

The attack inflicted extensive damage beyond the targeted facility. Two of the hospital’s four medicine warehouses were completely destroyed, while the remaining two sustained severe structural damage, the Gaza Ministry of Health said in a statement. The blast also tore through dozens of tents sheltering displaced families who had sought refuge inside the hospital compound after losing their homes.

According to the Health Ministry, the strike also caused significant damage to a nearby outpatient clinic building and destroyed already critically low stocks of medications and medical supplies.

“The attack came on top of months of restrictions on the entry of medical aid and the continued prevention of thousands of patients from traveling abroad for treatment,” the statement added, accusing Israel’s strikes as “systematic and deliberate.”

Since the beginning of Israel’s genocide in Gaza, the healthcare system in the Strip has been battered by overlapping crises. Medical facilities have come under repeated attack, with hospitals and clinics damaged or destroyed across the Strip. Of the hospitals that once served Gaza’s population, only a small number remain operational and continue to receive patients.

Dr. Khalil al-Daqran, spokesperson for al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, said that Sunday’s strike was part of that broader assault on Gaza’s health sector. “The occupation seeks the complete collapse of Gaza’s healthcare system,” he said. “The missiles completely destroyed the warehouse, leaving behind a massive crater and placing large numbers of patients in grave danger.”

According to al-Daqran, the destroyed warehouses contained medicines for patients with chronic illnesses, including kidney disease. With those supplies now destroyed, he warned, many patients face an immediate threat to their lives.

He noted that medicines reaching Gaza’s hospitals are largely supplied through international organizations such as the World Health Organization, but that Israel “shows no regard for international law or international organizations,” citing the destruction of the warehouse as evidence.

It Appears That the US Military Accidentally Killed Everybody on Board a Civilian Medevac Flight in New Mexico

When the Federal Aviation Administration shut down air traffic to El Paso Airport earlier this year, nobody could have guessed than an experimental high-energy laser weapon was the cause. After days of chaos and speculation, it was revealed that Customs and Border Patrol officials had fired off a laser volley from a US Army base adjacent the El Paso Airport.

Though the trigger-happy Border Patrol grunts evidently thought they were firing at drug-smuggling drones, their real target turned out to be a kids’ party balloon. Regardless, it was later reported that the cutting-edge weapon was taken for a test-drive a week before FAA and Pentagon officials had a chance to discuss how to safely implement the laser device, making it a small miracle that nobody in the air was killed.

Not every use of an experimental aerospace weapon goes off without a hitch, however.

New bombshell reporting by Wired reveals an incident in which the testing of an experimental GPS jammer resulted in a medical plane crashing into the side of a mountain.

The horrifying incident happened in May, the publication reports, when a small twin-engine medevac aircraft carrying two pilots and two medical workers departed from Roswell, New Mexico. Heading West for the small mountain village of Ruidoso, the crew became the victim of an electronic warfare exercise being conducted at the nearby White Sands Missile Range, a test which rendered their navigational system inoperable.

Due to a combination of low visibility and an air-traffic control that was stretched far beyond capacity — at least three other planes reported navigation disruptions due to the GPS jamming — the pilots failed to register a mountainous formation between their plane and the landing strip.

As airline pilot and aviation crash analyst Juan Browne told Wired, the visual effect of that approach would have been stupefying. “When those lights go out, man, you know you are in big trouble,” Browne explained.

Unfortunately, the disoriented crew ran straight into the side of a mountain they likely never saw, resulting in the loss of every life on board. It’s the first known instance where military GPS jamming played a role in downing a civilian plane in US airspace. Reported incidents of GPS jamming within the continental US have skyrocketed in recent years. According to the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the number of GPS interference events went from four in 2020 to 50 in 2024, and 40 across 2025.

Though the crew involved in the New Mexico crash was warned that GPS interference may be present, there evidently weren’t enough safeguards or air traffic control personnel in place to prevent a tragedy.

Background

For the last year, the Centre for Migration Control (“CMC”) has been locked in a battle at the Information Commissioner’s Office (“ICO”) – a non-department government body tasked with upholding public access to government data – with the Ministry of Justice.

In June 2025 the CMC requested via the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“FoI”) that the Ministry of Justice produce statistics on the total number of convictions between 2018 and 2024 ( broken down by nationality) for detailed offences within the following headline offence categories: “violence against the person,” “sexual offences,” “drug offences,” “criminal damage and arson,” “possession of weapons,” “theft offences” and “robbery.”

This information would have been the single biggest release of migrant crime statistics in British history and, for the first time, told us how many migrants are convicted every year of murder, rape, arson, the importation and supply of class A drugs, the sale of weapons, along with hundreds of other offences.

Unlike other European nations – including Denmark, Germany, and Sweden – the British government does not publish this information. This is despite the information being readily available on the Police National Computer.

The Ministry of Justice refused this FoI request and, on 10 July 2025, the CMC requested that the ICO make a ruling on whether it was appropriate for the data to be withheld.

On 22 June 2026, over 12 months after the initial FoI request, the ICO ruled unambiguously that the Ministry of Justicemust “disclose the requested information” to the CMC.

STOCK MARKET IS RUN BY AI

The Stock markets are now run by algorithms and machines and sentiment analysis models.

These Sentiment models do NOT read a sentence and decide whether it is true. They read who said it, then apply a source authority weight. A head of state carries the highest multiplier in the stack, and no analyst thread will ever match it.

So when the line is that the “Strait is open”, that talks are advancing, that normalization is close, the machine does not verify the claim.

It measures that the claim was made, by whom, and how fast it travelled.

Tens of millions of followers plus news channels pickup registers as breadth. Breadth gets read as confirmation. Crude, tanker rates, war risk premiums and defense names reprice inside seconds.

Verification lands hours later, sometimes days. By then the position is closed and the correction moves nothing.

Markets have always moved on information. What is new is that they now move on attribution, and the machinery, AI and sentiment analysis cannot tell the difference between a fact and a well sourced assertion.

Oil still cannot get through the strait of hormuz but the AI does not consider that, it considers that Trump (the actual President of the United States issued the statement and that statement gets ranked the highest, because all news channels and media channels start to report on it).
