Is all the Flock camera news smoke and mirrors? We're building massive data centers, and looking to create a next generation AI. Humans learn from audio/visual stimuli the most at an early age. It wouldn't be the first company set up to "accidentally" leak access to it's data at a later time.
I understand what it is probably being used for. That doesn't mean it couldn't also be being used to teach a general AI without needing access to everyone's cell phone and having to explain where you got your data.
I'm aware of the compromises. I heard about them when they happened. I was thinking bigger picture. What if all this mess is just a distraction from training a large scale general AI?

That reminds me, I'm a little surprised no one has tried to revive the old 486 architecture on a modern node.
If the final CIA decommissioning involves an A10 run on CIA HQ I'll get a good chuckle.
The 486 is the last x86 architecture without a backdoor in it. To my knowledge anyway. Intel uses the architecture for it's ME for a reason. The software side is completely different, why you would even try to run windows on it is beyond me.
