Here's a random thought that is rattling around in my head…

Thune has called a recess with proforma sessions, which he kind of has to unless he has the agreement of the house (Article I, Section 5, Clause 4 - three day limit without consent of other house) so what if on one of the proforma forma sessions one of the SAVE act supports stands up and does a quorum call? The senate is technically in session during one of those things so a quorum call would be in order as I understand it, and nothing else can happen until there is a quorum present, like adjourning again. Also I think that once they are in session, even for a few seconds, they usually call for unanimous consent to adjourn again, so Lee or one of the others could object.

Whole point would be to snarl up the senate until a bunch showed up to close it back down again. Then three days later you do it again, and again. kind of a no talking filibuster of the adjournment.
