The DSA Communists are claiming election rigging in Wisconsin as Francesca Hong has been defeated byDNC party approved candidate David Crowley.

The current status of the race is Crowley with 39.78% (313,321) and Hong with 39.37% (310,110).Crowley leading by more than three thousand votes.

The reason for the apoplexy is that all polling showed Hong with an easy 20-to-25-point lead heading into election day.

State Navigate polling had Francesca Hong +22, Public Policy Polling had predicted Hong +18, Marquette University polling (the gold standard) had Hong +25, then State Navigate polling had Hong +29, and finally Public Policy Polling had another easy win at Hong +20.

Therefore, the only way the DSA Communists can reconcile the outcome of Hong losing is to believe that some other malevolent force was involved in the actual counting of the ballots.

Hopefully this will be a lesson to multiple people, including President Donald Trump.There is no room for softness on the topic of deporting illegal aliens.

In one of the biggest examples of a mistake in Republican campaigning, three weeks before the primary election Minnesota Governor candidate Mike Lindell made the fatal mistake of advocating for greater leniency for illegal aliens, with inferred amnesty in his immigration platform. The backlash was fierce, righteous and directly targeted. Lindell was blasted.

Last night, despite the support and endorsement from President Trump, Lindell was resoundingly defeated by Lisa Demuth, the speaker of the Minnesota House.

Lindell said this would lead to an increase in tax revenue. "You take that money and you use it to legalize people," he said.

Lindell's primary opponent, Lisa Demuth, said she "would expect this from Amy Klobuchar and Tim Walz, but I’m surprised to see it coming from a fellow GOP candidate for governor."

"I will work with the federal government to deport criminal illegal immigrants instead of giving them amnesty,” she said.

Trump-Backed Mike Lindell Refuses To Concede Governor’s Race, Alleges Voting Anomalies

Mike Lindell, the CEO and founder of MyPillow, is refusing to concede Minnesota’s Republican gubernatorial primary.

Lindell, who was endorsed in the race by President Donald Trump, lost to state Rep. Lisa Demuth, the speaker of the Minnesota House of Representatives.

With more than 95% of the expected vote in, Demuth led Lindell 43% to 32%.

Lindell is a longtime supporter of Trump and a 2020 election denier. Like Trump, the pillow man has falsely alleged the 2020 election was rigged against the president. In 2025, Lindell was found liable for defamation against a former employee of Dominion Voting Systems, which Lindell, Trump, and others falsely claimed helped rig the election for Joe Biden. Lindell was ordered to pay the employee, Eric Coomer, $2.3 million in damages.

“I’m down by 20,000 votes with 277,00 votes left to count,” Lindell said as votes were being counted on Tuesday night. “Now, would you give up if you got 277,000 left to count? And these are the day-of votes, which haven’t been counted yet.These were all mail-in and early votes for Lisa Demuth.So, I mean, why would I say here and go, ‘Ok, I can’t make up 20,000 [with] 277,000 left to count?’ So, that’s where we’re at.”

Moreover, Lindell suggested something nefarious was afoot.

Kirsten Swanson of KSTP TV in St. Paul reported that Lindell had alleged there were irregularities in the vote count.

“Lindell will not concede,” Swanson said. “Claims there are anomalies in the numbers that his teams will be looking into overnight.”

In a Truth Social post hours before Lindell’s defeat, Trump made one last push for his preferred candidate.

“Mike Lindell deserves a BIG WIN IN MINNESOTA today,” the president wrote. “Nobody has worked harder, and given up so much, in fighting for free and fair Elections. Go out, NOW, and VOTE for Mike Lindell for Governor. He will not let you down.”

Demuth will go on to face Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D), who coasted to victory in Tuesday’s Democratic primary.

Within hours, U.S. forces said they had fired missiles at a container ship that allegedly attempted to breach Washington’s blockade of Iranian ports in the Gulf of Oman.

The twin incidents illustrate how the war, stretching into its sixth month, is inflicting a widening toll on two of the world’s most critical shipping lanes, even as diplomats signal progress toward reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

Yemen’s Transport Ministry said the casualties included four crew members aboard the vessel — identified as the Egyptian-owned, Tanzania-flagged Tihamah — three of them Pakistani nationals and one Indonesian. Separately, Yemen’s coast guard reportedly said two members of the Yemeni government-allied National Resistance Forces were also killed in a follow-up strike as they carried out a rescue.

Yemen’s Transport Ministry said in its statement that it holds “the Houthi terrorist militias fully responsible for the deaths, injuries and damage inflicted on the commercial vessel “Tihamah” as well as for the serious consequences resulting from these attacks,” according to a Google translation of Arabic.

A Houthi-aligned media outlet later said the group’s forces had targeted a ship carrying Saudi military equipment, though the Houthis haven’t addressed the casualty figures officially.

The Iran-aligned group declared a naval blockade against Saudi Arabia in the Red Sea on July 20, breaking a years-long Yemeni civil-war truce, calling it retaliation for a Saudi “siege” on Yemen, an allegation Riyadh has denied.

Separately, the U.S. Central Command said late Tuesday that a Navy helicopter fired two missiles at the Panama-flagged Vela Nova, disabling its steering and propulsion,after the crew ignored warnings while transiting the Gulf of Oman.

Centcom said the ship had tried to run past the naval blockade Washington reimposed on Iranian ports in mid-April. There were no immediate reports of casualties. U.S forces have redirected 55 commercial vessels attempting to breach the blockade since it took effect, disabled three non-compliant ships and boarded two, according to Centcom.

The hostilities at sea come as U.S.-Iran diplomacy has stalled. Iran’s Supreme National Security Council laid out sweeping demands over the weekend for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, including an end to the U.S. naval blockade, sanctions relief, American troop withdrawals and war reparations.

President Donald Trump has countered by demanding Iran pay compensation of its own. The impasse has pushed a return to normal shipping further out of reach, even as Iran and Oman edge toward an agreement on a new transit corridor through the Hormuz Strait.

Traffic through the strait, which saw 20% of the world’s oil trade before the conflict began in late February, has been barely trickling. The war-induced tumult in the waterway has caused a global energy supply shock, sharply raising oil prices and causing broader economic consequences.

Oil prices have been rising on the back of renewed tensions. Brent crude futures

for October delivery added 0.6% to $89.44 a barrel on Wednesday, extending a rally that has added more than 7% this week, according to LSEG data. U.S. West Texas Intermediate

for September added 0.7% to $83.8.

“Current rhetoric suggests any potential deal is still some way off, meaning risks remain skewed to the upside for oil prices,” said Warren Patterson, ING’s head of commodities strategy.

There have, however, been some signs of ongoing diplomatic efforts.A senior Pakistani minister said Tuesday that the U.S. and Iran are close to “some sort of arrangement” over the Strait of Hormuz, offering a glimmer of hope for a deal even as the warring powers appear to be hardening their negotiating stances.

Pakistan’s defense minister, Khawaja Asif, told reporters that “things are shaping up again in favor of a peace arrangement or a deal,” according to Bloomberg.

The Pakistani official’s comments came after a Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson told Al Jazeera that talks between Iran and Oman about opening a shipping channel through the Strait of Hormuz were at a “critical juncture.”

Democratic Socialist Francesca Hong Concedes After Falling Agonizingly Short in Razor-Thin Wisconsin Primary

David Crowley narrowly defeated democratic socialist Francesca Hong in Wisconsin’s Democratic primary for governor Tuesday, halting progressives’ bid for another major victory in a key battleground state.

Crowley, the Milwaukee County executive, emerged from the exceptionally close contest to claim the nomination, with a 3,000-vote margin, and will advance to a November showdown with Trump-backed Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-WI).

The moderate Democrat is seeking to become Wisconsin’s first Black governor and campaigned on the argument that he offered Democrats their strongest chance of winning the purple state, which Trump won in 2024, in November.

The result comes just one week after progressive Abdul El-Sayed won Michigan’s Democratic Senate primary, energizing the party’s far left and raising hopes that Hong could follow with another upset in the Midwest.

Crowley’s margin was less than one percentage point. The result left Hong eligible to seek a recount, but because the margin exceeded 0.25 percentage points, her campaign would have been required to cover the cost.

Hong instead chose to concede.

Hong’s challenge came without endorsements from progressive heavyweights Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and her late campaign was marked with headlines focusing on her past hot takes, including calls to abolish the police, prisons, and even Thanksgiving.

Crowley did not address supporters Tuesday night and was expected to appear at a Democratic unity event on Wednesday.

CNN Panel Goes Full Thunderdome in Fiery Clash Over GOP’s ‘Anti-Muslim’ Attack on El-Sayed

CNN NewsNight’s panel erupted on Monday night asMAGA pundits ganged up on one co-panelist for accusing Republicans of dredging up “anti-Muslim, anti-Arab sentiment” by using Michigan senatorial candidate Abdul El-Sayed’s full name to attack him in political ads.

The clash came after guest host Jon Berman ran back a clip of Senator Tim Scott defending the ad campaign, and dismissing the use of El-Sayed’s full name, Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed, as no different than people calling him “Timothy Scott.”

As the clip ended, The Hill’s White House columnist Niall Stanage quipped: “I mean, look, I don’t know how he says that with a straight face.”

“Honestly, the idea that using Tim Scott’s full name unabbreviated is equivalent to using El-Sayed’s full name is just ludicrous,” he continued. “It is obviously, in El-Sayed’s case, an appeal to anti-Muslim, anti-Arab sentiment.”

He added: “I just want to pick up on something [Democratic strategist and co-panelist Yemisi Egbewole] said there because she rightly talked about the fact that El-Sayed has some work to do. Had Haley Stevens won that primary, she would also have had work to do, particularly with Arab Americans in a state that has the highest per capita population of Arab Americans in the country who believe that the Biden administration disgraced itself on Gaza.”

“She would have less work to do because she’d have all the moderates working for her!” Manhattan Institute’s Jesse Armexclaimed.

“Forfeiting concerns for human rights, all the while shoveling weapons to Mr. [Benjamin] Netanyahu with which to kill 70,000 Palestinians,” Stanage went on.

Making an apparent quip at Stanage’s Irish identity, for the second time on the show, Arm snapped: “I know you guys are very concerned with-”

“The Jews!” MAGA pundit Jason Rantzcut in.

“Exactly!” Arm said.

“It always goes back to the Jews,” Rantz said. “Like, every single time. It’s like a perfect example of some of what you’re talking about, like the coded language and whatnot. El-Sayed has brought up AIPAC and brings it up absolutely every single time he can because he wants to talk about the Jews.”

“AIPAC? Because they support the most right-wing government in Israel’s history!” Stanage returned.

“My God, chill!” Arm cut in, before returning to his mocking jab a third time: “We understand that Ireland cares a lot about Palestine –”

Stanage turned to Arm: “Because we don’t like people militarily subjugating and occupying people…”

The panel exploded as pundits talked over one another before Berman stepped in to quiet everyone, allowing Arm to speak, at which time he appeared to defend Obamacare.

“People of Michigan are actually scared of Abdul El-Sayed, not because of Israel or whatever. No one cares about Israel. He’s going to rip away Obamacare,” he said. “He’s going to rip away private health insurance from the 66% of Americans who have it. They ran a campaign. Rashida Tlaib was attacking Haley Stevens for collecting support from General Mills and General Motors. Michiganders don’t like the sound of that – anti-business politics.”

“A lot of these claims are made to distract from what El-Sayed is standing for on an economic basis,” Stanage countered, prompting an interruption from Arm before he continued: “Can I finish, please? He stands for Medicare for all, which has pulled well for years –”

“Which would eliminate private health insurance,” Arm chimed in again.

“Let him talk,” Berman rebuked.

Stanage concluded: “He stands for the reduction of money in politics, which people of all kinds of ideology agree with, and those kinds of appeals to improve people’s economic lives. That’s why he won.”

Michigan imams point to El-Sayed as they urge congregants to cast their ballots for 'a legitimate Islamic objective'

As Abdul El-Sayed campaigns to become the first Muslim Senator in U.S. history,Michiganders are considering how his faith factors in to his lived experience and progressive politics.

“I believe deeply in the role that faith has played in my life, in, you know, how it orients me to try and be a better person, to give more of myself, to know my fellow creation, to treat people – all people – with dignity and humanity and respect,” El-Sayed told Religion News Service last week.

El-Sayed’s devotion to Shariah, the religious and moral framework of Islam, is evident in his campaign, with staffers offering submission to Allah during weekly conference calls, and in a lifestyle built on a system that’s foreign to many residents he hopes to represent.

It’s a devotion that shapes how he prays, his marriage, his anti-Israel world view, and even how he purchases real estate.

In 2009, El-Sayed discussed why he opted for a Shariah-compliant “mortgage-alternative arrangement” to purchase a $123,000 condo in Ann Arbor during his time as a medical student, noting how his faith conflicted with traditional financing used by most Americans.

Because Shariah forbids “riba,” or interest, El-Sayed sought out a different kind of halal financing through creative arrangements at University Bank aimed at honoring his Muslim faith.

“Mortgage alternatives, which are the most popular financial product for Islamic consumers in the United States, essentially add what would have been the monthly interest into the purchase price of a home,” according to Star News. “In one variation, the bank actually buys the house at a qualified customer’s direction, and then sells it to that customer through monthly installments modeled on the payments of a 30-year mortgage. In two other common methods, the customer either acquires the home from the bank on a lease-to-own arrangement or purchases the home in partnership with the bank and gradually buys out the bank’s share.”

While it’s unclear which alternative El-Sayed leveraged, he described the financing as a godsend, pointing to how his family’s Islamic faith forced his father to save up cash to purchase a home decades prior.

“Ultimately, the question is,” El-Sayed, then 24, told Star News, “when I die and I stand before God and go through everything I did in my life, I don’t want to say I did it the easy way instead of the Shariah-compliant way. Not because of fear but because of obligation.”

Thirteen years later, El-Sayed criticized efforts to ban Shariah Law in U.S. courts during a speech before the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Oklahoma, tying those efforts to terrorists and racists.

“I don’t have to tell you that the same exact forces that drove native peoples from their land two centuries ago, destroyed Black Wall Street a century ago, bombed a building decades ago, and tried to ban Shariah Law not a decade ago, those forces are alive and well today,” he said.

In 2019, El-Sayed discussed how his Egyptian grandmother instilled his “deep faith” at a young age, and how he rebelled against the same after leaving his devoutly Muslim childhood home, before returning to Islam.

“With that distance, I got to sort of explore my faith on my own terms,” El-Sayed told Simran Jeet Singh, an academic activist focused on race and religion. “I got to learn about the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and found this man who just had this impeccable character, the kind of character I admired so much in my grandmother,” he said.

“That’s when I started to really practice my faith again on my own terms, and that’s how I try to live my faith today,” he said.

El-Sayed explained how an encounter with former President Bill Clinton at his graduation from the University of Michigan inspired his interest in politics, setting him on a course that will culminate in the general election against Trump-endorsed Republican former Congressman Mike Rogers on Nov. 3.

El-Sayed’s Islamic faith, combined with far-left policies focused on fierce opposition to Israel, is now fueling a groundswell from left-wing supporters across the nation, as the 41-year-old casts the 2026 contest as a major milestone in America’s civil rights movement.

“So we have an opportunity to do what the patriots of this country, who wanted best for this country, have been doing for 250 years: looking at her mistakes and doing the painstaking work to organize to correct it,” El-Sayed told supporters in a closing primary message cited by NOTUS politics reporter Alex Roarty. “What a glorious opportunity!” he exclaimed.

“I want you to remember that you’re walking the same exact path as all of those folks who fought for everything coming from abolition to native rights to women’s suffrage to LGBTA rights to religious freedom to ending Jim Crow, to building an America where we had unions, the folks who showed up to sit down and stand up for rights, the folks who gave us Medicare and Medicaid – you are walking that path,” he said. “That’s the path we’re walking.”

Imams in Michigan, as well as the Muslim Brotherhood’s official website, are framing the election in a similar light, pointing to El-Sayed as they urge congregants to cast their ballots for “a legitimate Islamic objective.”

“When Allah will help you with your intention, the change will come,” an imam told a room of adherents at an American Muslim Diversity Association Masjid mosque in Sterling Heights July 17 in a video highlighted by the Middle East Media Research Institute. “We know that Rashida Tlaib – she is a sister … she’s representing us in Congress.”

“So we have a lot of things coming in our side, the tide is changing, we need to take advantage of that and get involved,” the imam continued. “Abdul El-Sayed, if he gets elected, he’s going to be the first (Muslim) U.S. senator in the history of the United States.”

The imam, who also denied Muslims were involved in 9/11, pointed to the Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America, noting “they recommend to vote to serve a legitimate Islamic objective.”

“This is the fatwa from AMJA,” he said.

Trump declines to rule out declaring a national security emergency to control the 2026 election

President Donald Trump in a new interview declined to rule out declaring a national security emergency as a means to try to assert more control over the 2026 midterm elections.

It’s merely the latest warning sign that Trump could try to mess with the election not just by baselessly claiming voter fraud and challenging the results afterward — as he did in 2020, leading to a violent riot at the US Capitol — but by trying to unilaterally take control before votes are cast.

In the interview, Wayne Allyn Root of Real America’s Voice pitched such a scenario to Trump. He suggested it as an alternative, given the Senate has failed to pass Trump’s coveted elections bill, known as the “SAVE America Act.”

“If they never get the SAVE America Act done, you have the right to declare a national security emergency for elections,” Root said. He added that “if you declare a national security emergency as the president of the United States, they can’t challenge it. It can only be overturned by a two-thirds vote by both houses of Congress. So if you do this in the next month, we will get photo ID, proof of citizenship (for voter registration) and a limit to mail-in ballots.”

It’s at this point that Trump cut Root off and coyly suggested such an option was indeed in play.

“Let me just say that stranger things have happened, OK?” Trump said. “I’ll leave it at that.”

Despite Root’s comments, it’s far from clear such a gambit would even work. And CNN has asked the White House for more detail on what the president meant.

Trump often responds to hypotheticals by declining to rule them out — no matter how extreme the proposal might be. So it’s possible to read too much into this.

But as CNN’s Jake Tapper has noted, there are plenty of signals that Trump at least aspires to try to exert more control over elections. And these methods often appear transparently geared toward helping Republicans.

A major one is the administration’s threat to have the US Postal Service not deliver mail ballots for states that don’t comply with its demand that they hand over their voter lists. This is a request that even many red states have rejected, citing privacy concerns.

Democrats are much more likely to use mail ballots, which Trump has baselessly connected to widespread fraud. So curtailing them could greatly help Republicans.

(Federal courts have blocked this Trump executive order, and the administration recently appealed to the Supreme Court.)

Trump has also gone to great lengths to try to substantiate his still-baseless claims of widespread fraud. That includes the administration seizing 2020 ballots in Fulton County, Georgia, and Trump’s recent primetime address about election security that some read as a statement of intent — a pretext for more direct federal involvement in elections, which are run by states.

Ty Cobb, who served as White House counsel in Trump’s first term, said he interpreted the speech last month as a “predicate that he needs to declare an emergency.”

And Trump has occasionally said things, like he did in the new interview, suggesting he would like to take control of US elections.

Back in February, he urged his party to “take over the voting in at least 15 places,” adding: “The Republicans ought to nationalize the voting.”

The Washington Post also reported in March that pro-Trump activists were circulating a potential executive order that claimed Chinese interference in the 2020 election gave Trump emergency authorities over the 2026 election. And Trump’s primetime address focused on China, despite the tenuous evidence.

Trump’s intense focus on the “SAVE America Act,” which has never appeared to have a chance to pass but Trump has said is vital, could also be read as part of building the case for more drastic action.

But whether Trump could take over elections himself, as Root posits, is far from certain.

As CNN’s Marshall Cohen and Michael Williams reported in February, the Constitution makes it difficult for Trump to truly “nationalize” elections. Courts have overwhelmingly upheld the principle that states are in charge of elections.
