Ukraine’s Defense Forces Put an End to All russian Space Military Programs by Striking Progress Plant in Samara with FP-5 Flamingo Missiles

August 15, 2026

The affected russian Progress Rocket and Space Centre produced the main russian Soyuz-2 launch vehicles, which were used to launch not only the russian Rassvet satellites, an analogue of Starlink, but also the vast majority of other military satellites

On the night of Saturday, August 15, the Defense Forces of Ukraine launched a series of long-range strikes on russian military facilities.

According to available, yet unofficial information, a successful attack was carried out on a key russian enterprise in the space industry - the Progress Rocket and Space Centre in Samara.

This is reported by footage from local residents, and the local authorities also acknowledged the destruction of an unnamed industrial facility.

Before that, at about 04:00 am local time (03:00 am Kyiv time), a missile alert was declared in the Samara region.

At about 03:40 local sources reported the characteristic sound of a jet aircraft flying over, a powerful explosion and a strong fire. At the same time, based on some videos, it is possible to conclude that there were two missiles.

Fire Point Chief Designer Denis Shtilerman published footage of the launches of two FP-5 "Flamingo" cruise missiles.

Having studied one of the available photos, it is possible to try to clarify the location of the impact, which falls precisely on the Progress Space Rocket Center.

Although for final certainty it is worth waiting for satellite images, it seems that the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck at the "bottleneck" of the entire Russian military space program, including the plan to create its own analogue of Starlink - the Rassvet satellites.

The fact is that it is the Progress Space Rocket Center that manufactures the Soyuz family of launch vehicles, in particular the Soyuz-2.1b, on which the Rassvet satellites have already been launched into space twice.

It is also these launch vehicles that are the main means of launching all other russian military satellites.

This enterprise, located on the territory of the Aviakor aircraft factory, is actually a single interconnected complex of workshops about 1 km long.

The entire technological cycle of creating Soyuz launch vehicles takes place in them using the flow method. At the same time, most likely, the blow fell on a key production area, in the western part of the complex, where the final stages of production take place.

This means that not only the production itself, unique production equipment and tools, but also all Soyuz launch vehicles that were in the middle and final stages of production could have been destroyed at the same time.

In general, since 2022, russia has carried out 6-8 launches of Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicles per year. And they were distributed between all space programs and commercial launches, among which the absolute majority were missions of the so-called Ministry of Defense of the russian federation.

If the effectiveness of the strike is confirmed, this will mean the cessation of almost all Russian space programs. Because all that the Russians will have left is the launch vehicles already delivered to the cosmodromes, of which there may be only a few units, as well as the well-known long-term Angara launch vehicle, which is assembled in Omsk at the Polet plant. Since 2022, only 9 units of these missiles have been launched (2 - heavy-class Angara-A5 launch vehicles, 7 - two-stage light-class Angara-1.2 launch vehicles).

Some 15 settlers enter Kusra despite IDF closure, Palestinian residents report feeling threatened

Some 15 settlers entered the Palestinian village of Kusra in the West Bank again on Saturday, despite the fact that the IDF declared the area a closed military zone, Army Radio reported.

Palestinian residents who remain in the area told KAN News that they still feel threatened by Jewish extremists in the area.

“The army and the police are a few meters from here at a house under siege. You can see them in civilian clothes walking around and making their presence felt,” local resident Marmar Odeh told KAN.

“Before the army entered the homes, the settlers were moving around with pickup trucks, ATVs, sheep and goats, and now they have driven them away.”

He told KAN that his biggest concern is that if the IDF leaves the area, the settlers will ramp up their attacks on Palestinian homes in the area.

“They are still in the area. They are hiding, coming out from all kinds of places,” Odeh said.

IDF to probe soldiers' conduct, decisions in probe on Kusra

The IDF sent an additional battalion to the village for reinforcement earlier this week. A military spokesperson told The Jerusalem Post on Friday that the IDF will be conducting a probe into the incident.

The probe will cover why it took the IDF 48 hours to evacuate the illegal outpost set up by Jewish extremists, and why the military did not remove the outpost a second time after the settlers returned.

"This was a serious incident, and it will be investigated," the representative said.

According to Channel 12, the IDF will also look into the manner in which the Palestinian families of the town were evacuated on Thursday after being instructed to leave.

Tensions in the village began on Tuesday but escalated on Wednesday, when the settlers got into physical altercations with IDF soldiers after security forces evacuated a settler outpost.

Footage seen by the Post showed extremists dismantling fences, blocking roads, and surrounding the area.

The Post reported on Thursday that though the IDF has sufficient power and forces to have removed the Jewish extremists in hours or less, there are some form of limits on the force troops used, and some of the IDF forces did not fully cooperate in the mission.

IDF sources suggested to the Post that military forces may remain in the area for an extended period, but without identifying how long.

A ‘ghost ship’ allegedly attacked Ecuadorian boats with bomb-dropping drones. The survivors want answers

August 15, 2026

Hernán Flores says he remembers the shock he felt when a sudden blast rocked his fishing boat in the Pacific.

“We heard the explosion – boom! It was the kind of blast that left my ears ringing. Right then, I felt blood running down me,” he recounted.

Flores had captained one of two Ecuadorian fishing crews who say their boats were sunk in an unexplained attack involving small, explosive-laden rotor drones launched by armed foreigners in March.

The incidents have been the subject of mounting interest in the United States, with the Washington Post this week reporting that the strikes were carried out as part of a covert CIA program – a claim CNN cannot independently verify.

A spokesperson for the CIA told CNN, “We do not have any guidance to offer on this.”

CNN spoke to multiple fishermen about the experience and what happened to them next. This is the story through their eyes.

‘Dropping the bomb on us’

The two fishing crews reported almost identical experiences, though they were attacked separately.

Several days into their respective fishing voyages, both said they spotted a mysterious blue ship and drones seemingly following them at a distance.

At the time, they said they had no reason to believe they were being targeted, so they carried on with their work.

A day or two later, they said their boats were suddenly attacked.

Without warning, a pair of drones either dropped explosives or crashed into the boats, hitting La Negra Francisca Duarte II on March 17 and Don Maca on March 26, according to the fishermen.

They described the drones as relatively small, measuring roughly the size of a pillow, with rotors in all four corners and a tube hanging from the center, from which explosives are believed to have been dropped.

The first drone seemingly detonated after crashing onto the gas tanks of La Negra Francisca, the crew recounted, while the second appears to have dropped an explosive.

Hernán Flores, captain of the boat’s 16 crew members, said one drone crashed into the boat, severely injuring the foot of his nephew Jordyn.

The flames from one explosion also burned the upper half of another crewmate’s back, according to the crew’s attorney Jorge Chiriboga Dávalos, who shared photos of the injuries.

In the attack on Don Maca a few days later, one of the 20 crew members said the first blast hurled him into the air.

“I went flying and slammed into a diesel tank that was sitting there,” Jaime Rubén Cervantes Macías recalled. “People were shouting, ‘Drone, drone, drone!’ So, I jumped up quickly to take a look – and it was a drone firing at us, dropping the bomb on us.”

His crewmate John Sebastián Palacios said the explosions were so loud they damaged his hearing. Another fisherman said the attack injured his left eye, causing it to lose most of its vision.

At some point, both crews said they spotted a different gray aircraft surveilling the situation from above. Hernán Flores described it as a “mini plane” with long wings. A sketch he made depicted the aircraft with a bulbous nose that tapered off toward the body.

Flight data suggested the area near the boats’ last recorded locations was being patrolled by a plane registered to a company whose address is listed as a private mailbox at a United Parcel Service store in Richmond, Virginia, according to public records first reported by the New York Times and later verified by CNN.

After the purported attacks, both groups abandoned their damaged vessels, boarded smaller auxiliary boats and headed toward the mysterious blue ship in the distance to seek help.

When they reached it, armed men on board pointed rifles at them, but then allowed them to board after some of the fishermen said they were injured, they said.

The armed men allegedly detained and interrogated the fishermen as soon as they got on. In the second incident, the attackers carried out a few more strikes to sink the Don Maca before leaving the scene with the survivors, Cervantes Macías said.

La Negra Francisca was left burning. Hours after that alleged attack, another fishing crew arrived at the site and took videos of the boat in flames, Chiriboga said.

The crew logged the burning vessel’s coordinates at 1.591783, -87.741783, which Chiriboga said was about 170 miles off the Galápagos, within Ecuador’s exclusive economic zone.

A NOAA satellite detected a fire in that location on March 17 at 3:02 p.m., not long after the first purported strike.

English-speaking men on a ‘ghost ship’

Upon boarding the blue vessel – which Chiriboga described as a “ghost ship” – survivors of both alleged attacks said the armed men tied them up and put hoods over their heads.

The men were White, tall, spoke English, carried rifles, and wore brown camouflaged uniforms – some with a patch of the US flag over their arms, according to several of the fishermen.

The blue ship, the fishermen said, resembled a tuna fishing boat but was larger and had a tall wheelhouse toward the front. In the back there was a crane, three large containers and – according to the first group of fishermen – a smaller motorboat.

During the purported detention of La Negra Francisca’s crew, Jordyn Flores said he was taken into one of the containers for medical treatment.

There, he said he saw a board with images of the drones and their boat. The rest of the crew stayed outside and slept on the deck, Hernán Flores said.

Hours after each reported attack, the armed men transferred the crews to a Salvadoran Coast Guard ship in the middle of the sea, telling the guardsmen that the fishermen had been shipwrecked, according to both crews.

From there, they were shipped away to El Salvador, hundreds of miles from their home county.

El Salvador acknowledged on March 24 that its forces had picked up a group of Ecuadorian fishermen whose descriptions matched those of La Negra Francisca’s crew members.

In a statement, its military described the fishermen as shipwreck survivors rescued at sea. It made no mention of a blue ship or Americans. CNN has reached out to the Salvadoran government for more information.

As they navigated toward El Salvador, both groups of fishermen said the Salvadoran guardsmen treated them well, giving them food, water and medical care.

Asked why they didn’t repatriate them to Ecuador, the Salvadoran guardsmen said their ship wasn’t allowed to enter Ecuadorian waters, according to the fishermen.

Both crews reached El Salvador after a week or so. There, they were interviewed by Salvadoran authorities and placed in migration centers and hospitals, where they stayed for several more days before eventually being flown back to Manta, the coastal city from which their boats had departed.

What really happened?

Who attacked the ships? Why were they detained and handed over to El Salvador? The fishermen still don’t know.

Jorge Chiriboga Dávalos, the lawyer for La Negra Francisca’s crew, has said he plans to file a lawsuit in the US against those responsible – once they figure out who that is.

Manta has been a focal point in the United States’ fight against organized crime in the region, with the US and Ecuador working closely on security.

In early March, the US began unspecified operations to target “designated terrorist organizations” in the South American country, according to the Pentagon.

But while the US has acknowledged conducting dozens of lethal attacks on alleged drug-trafficking vessels in the Pacific and Caribbean, the two Ecuadorian boats in question – La Negra Francisca Duarte II and Don Maca – are not among the acknowledged incidents, and the US Defense Department has denied any involvement in their cases. CNN has also reached out to the CIA and the US Drug Enforcement Administration for comment.

The fishermen insist they are not traffickers and that they have not been charged with drug-related offenses in Ecuador.

Flores also told CNN that an Ecuadorian patrol ship, the LG-30, had inspected La Negra Francisca before the alleged attacks and found no illicit activity. CNN has reached out to the Ecuadorian Navy for more information.

Another Ecuadorian fishing boat called Fiorella disappeared during a fishing voyage on January 20, along with eight crew members, and is believed to have been attacked as well, according to Fernando Bastias, an attorney with Ecuador’s human rights committee.

Two crew members, who had disembarked the boat to look for fish, were away when it disappeared. When they returned to its last known location, they found no trace of it.

But Ecuadorian authorities have remained mostly silent about the bizarre incidents.

Foreign Minister Gabriela Sommerfeld, in a statement to the media in Quito in April, did not give details and said succinctly that her only role was to coordinate the return of the fishermen when they were in El Salvador.

“Countries in Central America, Ecuador and North America are working cooperatively on joint activities. I could not say with certainty what activities the fishermen were carrying out or the situations they are in,” she said.

CNN has reached out to the Ecuadorian Navy and its maritime division for more information.

The US Embassy in Ecuador referred CNN to the US Southern Command, which was also contacted.

‘We’re kind of traumatized’

The crews of Don Maca and La Negra Francisca say they’re recovering physically, mentally and financially.

Jordyn Flores, whose foot was severely cut, said he struggled to keep up with medical expenses when he was hospitalized.

Hernán Flores said he has trouble sleeping and suffers from migraines due to a head injury.

John Sebastián Palacios said he and other fishermen are hesitant to return to the ocean because they fear another potential attack.

“Psychologically, we’re kind of traumatized,” he told CNN. Don Maca’s owner, Cristhian Mendoza, said the loss of his boat cost him and the crew a source of income.

Mendoza, who wasn’t on board during the purported strikes but was constantly communicating with the crew during the voyage, said his main concern is the fishermen’s wellbeing.

“The first point is to thank God for those human lives that we managed to rescue,” he said. “The other point is to defend them and seek justice.”

Late VP Dick Cheney oversaw ‘detainment situation’ of aliens from crashed UFOs: whistleblower

Aug. 15, 2026, 1:02 p.m. ET

The real weapons of mass destruction may have been caged little green men.

Late former Vice President Dick Cheney oversaw a “detainment situation” involving live aliens captured from crashed UFOs, according to claims by whistleblower David Grusch.

Grusch, who testified before Congress in 2023 about alleged secret UFO crash-retrieval programs, made the claims Thursday during an interview on

“The Dr. Phil Podcast” Dr. Phil saying US officials had communicated telepathically with alien “pilots” pulled from some of the dozens of UFOs — between 25 and 100 — he believes are in the government’s possession.

“I know people who had direct interactions in a detainment situation, which sounds very Star Trek and sounds very crazy, but it is true,” the former Air Force intelligence officer said on The Dr. Phil Podcast on Thursday.

“I spoke to a former cabinet member who directly worked the issue for a particular former vice president. You can guess which one. Darth Vader,” said Grusch with a laugh.

Cheney, who served as vice president under President George W. Bush from 2001 to 2009, was famously nicknamed “Darth Vader” by critics because of his reputation as one of the administration’s most powerful figures — almost rising to the level of co-president.

Grusch then described the way the aliens and humans were able to communicate.

“It is true that it is some sort of consciousness communication. Of course, people call it telepathy. I cannot begin to tell you how it works. But there is some sort of communication like that,” he said.

“I’m as curious as the average viewer on your show on how that works.”

Dr. Phil has recently become a prominent television interviewer of Trump administration officials and figures involved in the UFO disclosure debate.

The famed TV psychologist has been granted early access to the last two tranches of UFO files released by the administration, and has been briefing his audience on the releases since July 14.

“David’s story is absolutely a reminder that asking hard questions and getting to the truth is every citizen’s right,” Dr. Phil said after the interview.

“You may believe there’s something there. You may believe we’re alone. You may believe we’re not. But you have a right to have information and think critically about it.

And you have the right to decide what it means to you; whether its significant to you and your belief systems or not,” he said.

Cheney died on Nov. 3, 2025, at 84 from complications of pneumonia, cardiac disease and vascular disease.

Texas UFO files have it all: A lockdown, a fake saucer and a glowing egg

Aug 15, 2026

Something odd over an Amarillo nuclear weapons plant, strange lights around Camp Hood, a flying saucer hoax in Alice, an egg-shaped craft near Lackland AFB, Project Grudge and a special agent’s warning to J. Edgar Hoover are among the top Texas ties found in the Pentagon’s secret papers about unidentified flying objects and aliens.

The incidents were described in the thousands of records the Pentagon has been posting on its UFO website since President Donald Trump called for more transparency into what the government calls Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena.

The truth might be out there, as the tagline from the sci-fi series “The X-Files” said, but it’s not in these papers. More than half of the material posted so far already had been released in some form over the decades.

There are no answers about the incidents or revelations about extraterrestrial life, aliens living among us or spaceship visits. However, the records do offer a glimpse into how the government has handled, or didn’t, such events since the 1940s.

Here are the top Texas references in the Pentagon’s UFO files:

‘Diamond’ object over Pantex

Around 7 a.m. on Sept. 1, 2015, radar detected an object flying in a “non-threatening” manner near the Pantex nuclear weapons plant outside Amarillo.

The sighting triggered a lockdown at the plant and led security to follow the “diamond” shaped object as part of the facility’s “Response to Unmanned Aerial Systems” plan.

Two officers followed the object as it flew over the complex. They said it was silent, and they couldn’t discern a propulsion system.

Security tracked the object with a remotely operated camera and determined it was flying from 100 to 200 feet above the ground. Guards with binoculars estimated it was about 4 feet tall and 2 feet wide.

“Some personnel stated that it was black in color while others noted that it appeared to be silver, red and blue,” the report said. It remained over unpopulated areas of the plant before flying away.

Some online accounts say it was a party balloon.

Camp Hood’s ‘unusual lights’

Throughout 1949, there were dozens of reports of odd lights over Camp Hood and nearby Killeen Base, which have since been combined to form Fort Hood. In March of that year, there were 11 sightings of strange things in the sky.

Witnesses described oblong shapes trailing fire, blinking lights, and red and yellow orbs that moved but made no noise, according to a report by a 4th Army intelligence unit at Fort Sam Houston.

A newly released Army map shows locations and details of seven incidents that month that occurred near the camp’s “Tank Destroyer Center.”

After the flurry of sightings, the general in charge of Sandia Base in Albuquerque, N.M., now Kirtland AFB, notified senior defense officials of multiple reports of “unidentified lights” around Camp Hood and that officials had earlier met in Los Alamos to “consider the unnatural phenomena.” More on those meetings, known as Project Grudge, later.

That July, a soldier reported seeing a “pale red” light in the sky that looked like a “ball but not a perfect circle” and was “twice as large as an evening star.”

In August, there were seven sightings. They included “blue oval head-sized” objects, a “white light like a comet” that disappeared, an orb that looked like the “headlight of an old car” and an orange comet shape with a white tail.

In an August 1949 memo with the subject line “Protection of Vital Installations,” FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover told the agent in charge of the San Antonio field office that the Fort Hood “flying disks or unnatural phenomena” were the Army Air Corps’ problem.

He said the FBI should review the case files and then destroy them because keeping them “would result in the rapid accumulation of very bulky files.”

None of the records provides answers about the unidentified lights.

Project Grudge

Under the classified code name Project Grudge, officials with Los Alamos National Laboratory, Army, Air Force and University of New Mexico met in February 1949 to study the “so-called green fireball phenomena” that began a few months earlier.

People had been seeing fireballs silently fly across the sky over New Mexico and Texas and the phenomena was drawing questions, especially a Jan. 30, 1949, event, that several thousand people across the region witnessed.

Members of the group traveled across the region for a “field survey” of the object’s Jan. 30 flight path, which included a “low-level air reconnaissance mission in a T-11 aircraft,” records show.

They visited more than a dozen small towns along a path that ran from outside of Albuquerque to Plains that included Lubbock, Muleshoe and Roswell, N.M.

Lincoln LePaz, head of the University of New Mexico’s math department, estimated the object traveled 14 miles per second across 143 miles and said that it “must be among the brightest observed in the last quarter-century.”

The military had hired him to look into the green fireballs. He said the object did not make the “detonations and long continued rumblings which without exception accompany large meteorite falls,” describing its silence as an “anomaly.”

Many of the Texas observers reported “its color as blue, orange, red and even purple instead of green,” he wrote.

He concluded that that fireball was the only one of the several reported “anomalous luminous objects under investigation” that could be a meteorite even though no fragments were ever found.

The Houston Post reported it as “a flaming object believed to have been a meteor” that witnesses described as “a pale green or bright blue ‘fireball.’”

The Beaumont Journal called it a “spectacular meteor.”

Alice’s ‘Flying Disc’ hoax

On July 4, 1950, in the small town of Alice west of Corpus Christi, some locals found a 5-foot-wide metallic disc they thought came from outer space.

A memo by the FBI’s field office in San Antonio to Hoover described the disc as having “two radial aerials, slots or holes indicating jet or rocket propulsion” and markings that read “Warning. X-147-A” and “Do Not Touch.”

Workers with the Civil Aeronautics Administration, the precursor of the Federal Aviation Administration, had gotten word of the object that was found between the city of Alice and its airport and reported it to their colleagues in San Antonio.

The memo continued that a local radio newscast reported the Alice chief of police said the disc was a hoax. Still, FBI agents notified their colleagues in Houston and the Air Force’s Office of Special Investigations at Kelly AFB.

The hoax made the front page of the July 5, 1950, San Antonio Express with the headline, “Prankster Causes Uproar in Alice With Home-Fashioned Flying Disc.”

According to the report, someone had fashioned the disc from old airplane parts at the airport then left it in a plowed field. They’d apparently burned gasoline around it to make it look like the craft’s exhaust.

A local roofer named Leroy Holleman found the disc, and “within an hour Alice’s sleepy Fourth of July burst into a galaxy of wild rumors,” the paper said.

Alice’s police chief at the time brought the device to the department’s station, where it drew a crowd for hours. No suspects were named.

Eden Garcia, Alice’s current police chief, said he’s lived in the town all his life and hadn’t heard such a story.

Lackland’s ‘egg-shaped object’

An FBI collection of news clippings distributed around the agency for review included one from the Nov. 12, 1957, edition of the Washington News, which describes a “Rash of ‘Flying Saucer’ Reports” from across the country, including two in Texas.

“A civil service worker at Lackland Air Force Base … said he saw an egg-shaped object land in a ravine about 200 yards from him as he drove near the city,” the paper said.

“He said his engine and lights went off, and the object took off in a few minutes, enabling him to drive away.”

The Express report on the matter from Nov. 7, 1957, had more detail. The nation was paranoid about Russia’s Sputnik satellite that was sent to orbit the month before, and the paper played on that with the headline, “San Antonians See Whatnik.”

It said Lon Yarborough, a civilian cook at what is now Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, saw the “extremely bright object settle down in a ravine about a mile and a half from San Antonio on Frio City Road.”

The report said five pilots also reported seeing the “odd object,” and “Martha Garza of Alamo Heights told a radio station she saw the oval-shaped object ‘glowing like a neon sign’ from her bedroom.”

According to the Express, the “glowing, egg-shaped object rested a few minutes, then took off in the direction of San Antonio.”

The Washington News story said that at about the same time, a ground observer in Midland saw “a large, red object and picked up unintelligible conversation on a sound detector.”

Warning about flying saucer convention

On July 26, 1949, the special agent in charge of the FBI’s San Antonio field office wrote Hoover a memo with the subject “Flying Disks Internal Security.”

It described a story in the Galveston News about an upcoming convention for people “who have seen flying saucers” to be hosted by the Young Men’s Business Club of Alexandria, La.

The convention was planned “so that members may compare notes” after there were two reports of flying discs in the town, the memo said.

The tip had come from an intelligence officer at the 4th Army headquarters at Fort Sam Houston and was sent to Hoover “as a matter of information.”

Blink-182’s Tom DeLonge Confirms He Was Questioned by the Government for Two Days Over Alien Encounter

August 15, 2026

Blink-182 co-founder Tom DeLonge has confirmed that he was questioned by government officials for two days regarding an alleged UFO encounter.

DeLonge is long known for his interest in extraterrestrial phenomena. He opened up about the experience and addressed critics who remain skeptical of his views on the paranormal.

When asked if he would be comfortable sharing details about his UFO encounter, DeLonge gave a guarded but revealing response.

“It’s probably not for here,” DeLonge said. “Other than that I will say when I had hard questioning for two days straight by some… certain people in the government, that the very first question they asked was wanting to know everything that happened in the desert.

So it gives you an idea of how seriously they take it.”

DeLonge was also asked how he responds to skeptics who dismiss his interest in the paranormal and extraterrestrials.

“I don’t know,” DeLonge continued. “It’s like somebody dismissing the fact that we’re in a trade war with China. You know, it’s like ‘it’s in the news! What do you want me to tell you?’

You just don’t want to believe the news — like, you’ll believe any other congressional hearing under oath with a government official? But when they talk about this you don’t? I know I’ve done my work, you know, I’m moving on to explain what it is.”

DeLonge’s history with government secrecy around UFOs stretches back years, long before this latest round of questions about his encounter in the desert.

DeLonge co-founded To The Stars Academy of Arts & Science, an organization built around a team of experienced minds from the U.S. intelligence community dedicated to researching the fringes of science and advanced technology.

That same company first released the now-famous Navy UAP videos. DeLonge leaked the footage years before the Pentagon officially declassified it and confirmed its authenticity.

His directorial debut, Monsters of California, draws directly from that same well of experience. The film follows a group of teenagers who uncover government secrets and paranormal mysteries in Southern California.

The plot was inspired in part by DeLonge’s own work helping draw government attention back to UFOs.

DeLonge has framed his years of research and advocacy as validation for the questions he continues to raise publicly.

He points to his involvement with To The Stars and the eventual government acknowledgment of the UAP footage as proof that his interest in the paranormal was never just conjecture.

“I know I’ve done my work,” DeLonge said, reiterating the message at the heart of his response to skeptics. “You know, I’m moving on to explain what it is.”

EXCLUSIVE — AARO’s first post-UFO files sit-down: Sen. Gillibrand’s scheduled to meet with Jon T. Kosloski

Aug 15, 2026

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY)

Ask a Pol asks:

When’s the last time you talked to AARO — the Pentagon’s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office?

Key Gillibrand:

“Supposed to have another briefing,” Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand exclusively tells Ask a Pol UAP. “And they’re supposed to give us an update. I don’t know when it’s on the schedule, though. I would have thought I would have had it.”

Caught our ear:

Ask a Pol UAP informs Gillibrand that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s UAP Disclosure Act — which she’s been a sponsor of in previous years — was included in the House NDAA for the first time.

“Good,” Gillibrand tells us. “Wait — is it not in our version?”

To Shoot or Not to Shoot a UAP, that is the Question

August 14, 2026

When discovering strangers on their private property, the question that many Americans ask is: “To shoot or not to shoot?”, paraphrasing Shakespear’s Hamlet who said: “To be, or not to be, that is the question.”

This question applies also to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), such as the mysterious orbs hovering over strategic U.S. assets, as reported here by the Pentagon.

If these orbs are Chinese spy drones invading U.S. territory, they should be shot down. From January 28 to February 4, 2023, a high-altitude Chinese surveillance balloon traversed North American airspace before a U.S. F-22 fighter jet shot it down off the coast of South Carolina.

However, if UAP orbs represent alien technology, we should be careful at downing them for both ethical and safety reasons.

If their intention is benign, there is no reason to engage with them aggressively. Moreover, intelligent beings could retaliate and harm us after we engage in an offensive act.

The wise response to unrecognized visitors is to first figure out their intent and capabilities. This can be done passively by collecting data about them. In any blind date, it is prudent to listen to the other side before speaking.

The first important task of the UAP Science Advisory Council under my leadership (https://uapsac.com/) is therefore to bring UAP from anecdotal government reports to the mainstream of rigorous scientific analysis.

The second task is to collect new data with a better set of sensors than used in the past, including triangulating cameras, radars or LiDARs to measure UAP distance, spectrographs to infer surface composition and mass spectrometers or electron microprobes to characterize material samples.

When other scientists tell me that current evidence is insufficient to give UAP research a credible status within the mainstream of science, I reply that such data will never be collected unless we put the effort and funding to collect it.

The search for dark matter consumed billions of dollars in recent decades without resolving the anomalies involved. Let us allocate a similar level of time and funding to the study of UAP before we conclude that they do not represent a path for a new cosmic discovery.

In a recent paper that I co-authored with Dr. Shaun Fell, posted here, we found that the luminosity of subsonic orbs of the type reported by the Pentagon, could be potentially explained by heating of air by slow warp bubbles of spacetime.

If true, this could potentially flag an alien technological origin since there is no known natural origin for such bubbles. Whether that is the case or not remains to be determined through future data collection, following the new partnership between the Pentagon and the UAP Science Advisory Council.

One thing should be kept in mind. If UAP interact with electromagnetic radiation as recorded by cameras, then they should also interact with the electrically charges particles in the Earth’s atmosphere and generate a disturbance in air as they move.

This disturbance should lead to detectable acoustic (sound) and fireball (light) signals.

Major physics projects which aim to gain new knowledge about the Universe, such as NASA’s Webb telescope or CERN’s Large Hadron Collider, consume billions of dollars.

Given the enormous public and federal interest in the nature of UAP, similar level of funding should be allocated to the experimental collection scientific-quality data on UAP.

The current effort by the Galileo Project under my leadership (https://galileo.hsites.harvard.edu/) is funded at a level that is a thousand times smaller.

A Manhattan-Project scale study of UAP could lead, within a matter of years, to a breakthrough in deciphering the nature of UAP orbs.

The required funding does not need to be provided by the government.

Wealthy individuals or corporations could realize the enormous financial benefits of discovering alien technologies and therefore wish to be close to the information collection process when discoveries are made.

My forecast is that as soon as a shred of indisputable evidence will emerge on alien technology near Earth, all floodgates will open up. At that time, huge funding will be allocated to many scientists who find UAP research irresistible.

The key for advancing to a phase when UAP research will quickly become the hottest subject in science, is to find this indisputable shred of evidence for alien technology.

But in order to find this evidence, there must be seed funding for related research right now. Life is sometimes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Our childhood curiosity is often muted as we transition to adulthood. Currently, some scientists ridicule the possibility of alien technology near Earth and suppress UAP research.

Ironically, reliable U.S. Government sources who are focused on national security asked me to establish the UAP Science Advisory Council because they cannot explain UAP orbs in terms of human-made technologies.

Given these circumstances, it is the duty of all genuine scientists to figure out who are these strangers visiting our backyard. Once we find out, we can decide whether to shoot them or not.

Rep. Eric Burlison

@RepEricBurlison

U.S. personnel created the perfect conditions at a secret location to lure in UAPs for top intelligence officials.

It sounds like something out of a movie, but the entire operation was documented and presented as fact.
