there may have been a baker war when 8chan left the board to BV group, dunno. There was no baker war when OSS gained FJ's ear and then became BV. That was a coup.
I'm guessing this was a misunderstanding due to handoff mid-bread, can be confusing. It's rare now to see anyone changing baker notes, unlikely to be on purpose.
