Bullshit! You are seeing the limitation of the optics (lenses/mirrors) used to take the images AND the quality of the atmosphere at the time the image is taken. Atmospheric limitations is the biggest reason we put telescopes in space. The effect you see on the star is nearly identical to the distortion you see when reading a license plate on a car ahead of you on a hot road.
