I said Bond Desk for a reason, not Jamie D. Desk is getting hosed on a trade they're pushing. Prop desk in London obvs had the Long 2s, Short 30s, levered, and US Treasury Desk selling it up stream to clients, to push the whale trade. Bessent margined them out with his jawboning (Treasury only issued a pdf, did NOT trade, yet). Easier for Bessent to rug pull the trade early, before serious client money drove rates waaaayyy higher.
