If you know 100 bits of information, within an environment which contains 1000 bits of information, then you obtain 10 more bits of information by expanding your perspective to observe an environment which contains 10000 bits of information, you actually end up knowing a smaller percentage of the total picture, despite obtaining more bits of information.
