Farmers haven’t rebuilt their herds. They are quitting. That is why our number of cows is at a 75 year low. Printing 2 trillion dollars a year and naked short selling on the commodity exchanges along with the meat packing consolidated into 4 large companies is the problem. Farmers can’t sell meat directly to the public when processed at a local meat processor. They can sell half a cow and let someone pick up their half of the meat at the processor.
