US Air Force C-17 Makes Mysterious Visit To Moscow

A US Air Force Boeing C-17 Globemaster III military transport aircraft landed at Moscow's Vnukovo International Airport on Tuesday, according to flight-tracking website Flightradar24.

The C-17 arrived from Riga, Latvia, where it landed on Sunday, according to Flightradar24 data. Flight data show that the military transport plane was recently at Camp Springs, Maryland, home to Joint Base Andrews, which supports presidential and senior US government travel.

"An unusual visitor to Moscow this morning. A US Air Force C-17A Globemaster III flew from Riga to Moscow Vnukovo Airport," Flightradar24 wrote on X early Tuesday.

Navy Notice Officially Warns Personnel, Families to Scrub Social Media of Military Ties

Hung Cao's notice puts 340,000 active-duty, 58,000 reserve, and 210,000 civilian Navy workers on alert after recent service controversies.

Sailors, reserve members and civilian staff of the U.S. Navy are being asked to take extreme actions to protect themselves, their families, and Navy assets against multiple threats that the military branch has deemed noteworthy.

Hung Cao, acting Navy secretary, put the Department of Navy's (DON) 340,000 active-duty personnel, 58,000 reserve personnel, and 210,000 civilian workers on alert, asking them in part to "remove any information that could identify your connection to the DON" as part of a new written notice titled "Epic Vigilance: Immediate Actions for Force Protection and Personal Security."

“In the current global security climate, adversaries and hostile actors are executing a coordinated, multi-domain campaign against the DON enterprise,” the notice reads. “Recent incidents across the globe demonstrate a clear growth in adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures.

"These are not isolated events; they are part of a deliberate effort to gather intelligence, test our defenses, disrupt our operations, and intimidate our force.”

Timing of Notice With Recent Navy News

The naval notice comes after several recent controversies involving the Navy that have drawn widespread criticism.

Dolly Parton, who rose from humble beginnings to the greatest heights of American music and became one of the country’s most philanthropic, unifying and beloved stars, died Tuesday at her home in Nashville, according to a family statement. She was 80.

The statement, attributed to her nephew Bryan Seaver, said Parton died “peacefully.” A small, private service will be held for her close family, the statement added.

In a career that spanned over half a century, Parton captured the American experience, penning more than 3,000 songs. Those included “Coat of Many Colors,” a quiet ode to her mother, who stitched together garments in the family’s rural Tennessee home. She wrote and performed songs of love and heartbreak, like “Jolene” and “I Will Always Love You.” “9 to 5,” the title track from the movie of the same name, in which Parton also starred, became an anthem for American women and workers.

Parton went on to release 49 albums and win 11 Grammys, and became one of the most successful country crossover artists of all time, scoring regular hits on the pop charts, including “Islands in the Stream,” a duet with Kenny Rogers.

Later in life, she funneled her massive success into philanthropy, founding a library program that has gifted more than 300 million books to children around the world.
