DENVER (KDVR) — Emergency crews responded to an“incident”involving a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter on Thorodin Mountain Tuesday morning. According to the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office, the military helicopter incident happened on the east side of the mountain.

SkyFOX was over the scene, where the helicopter could be seen heavily damaged, with downed trees. Limited information has been released, but the sheriff’s office said four individuals were on board. No injuries were reported. The sheriff’s office said emergency crews were on scene, with no known threat to the surrounding area.
